Basic unpretentious and clean accommodation. Owners and managers constantly and diligently maintaining and caretaking. The expectations are high, but privacy is respected. Despite location beside a fairly busy highway, rooms are set back far enough that noise is not an issue. On departure at 6 am, an individual was present to accept my returned key card. This is rare and, in my opinion, demonstrate commitment to the property on the part of the manager.

Sorry, no criticism to offer. Great stay!

Cheap motel in the desert, in a heat wave, late May: Ice machine worked. A/C worked. Shower worked. Also: Mini-fridge/microwave/coffee pot worked. Bed worked. Washer/dryer worked ($2.00 each machine, in quarters). I liked the coffee (I suspect I'm in a weird minority on that one). The wireless "wi-fi" worked better than expected: I was in a far room from the office, and I could pick up enough signal to get adequate speed.

Housekeeping kept letting the flies in (it's Alpine, there will be flies).

Refurbished room. Wooden floor, no carpet (good!). Furniture not overdimensioned and in good condition. Microvawe and fridge. USB charging sockets. Coffe at the reception. The man at the reception was very nice and helpful. Everything was OK.

The boxspring was still in its original plastic bag. It did not look pretty, but I understand that it can be more higienic this way.

Microwave, fridge working fine. Clean, nice room. Quiet area, with some supermarkets at 5 min drive. Nice staff.

Air conditioner very noisy. A plug near from main table would have been great. More expensive than other similar properties in the States. However, still less expensive than others near Big Bend.

I was alone so my needs were few. I had a comfortable and clean place to bed down for the night and all the items I needed were available. Staff accommodated all my requests and answered all my questions.

I found out about the near by Observatory a little late in my stay. I was not able to get a tour due to schedule for departure from Alpine TX. Oh well I'll plan better next time.

This is my second stay at the location. Room was clean, A/C works well, bathroom was clean. Comfortable bed and fast enough internet.

Slight odor to room, not bad, just a little off, got used to it quickly.

Everything felt fresh and clean, and the bed was nice and comfortable. There was an event in town, but the whole property was nice and quiet. I had no problem at all getting to sleep. Also, the price was really good.

The only thing that would come close to being a "problem" was the finishes. Some of the furniture was showing signs of wear and there were a few places that could have used a coat of paint, but this was all cosmetic and wouldn't stop me from coming back.

Quiet, A/C worked in a heat wave, when my home A/C broke. Refrigerator, ice machine, shower all worked. I'm grateful that I was able to be comfortable in the May heat waves. Smoking rooms! Yay.

A bit more cheerfulness at the front desk would have helped the depressing situation I was in. Smile, you guys.

Affordable. Comfortable. Clean. Pleasant staff.

Very reasonable - clean - beds and pillows comfy. Dan and his wife whom run very personable and responsive. Great location one hour from Big Bend National park. Has fridge, microwave and toiletries are limited but very affordable. We will be back if in area. We drove thru town and were very pleased with our choice!

We were pleasantly surprised, the room had been recently remodeled, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We would stay there again whenever we pass through Alpine TX.
