The pool was amazing and so clean ! The location was perfect for all the festivities, we were front and center. I recommend the Orchard suites, a little more modern than the main building my cousin stayed in. Very nice and informative staff. Old school feel hotel. If you have small kids the Orchard part/location is perfect as they have a huge covered place for them to play and ride their scooters, that’s what all the kids were doing.

Unfortunately our AC went out our second day stay, we notified staff immediately (the manager Tiffany) & she went and checked it asap, she notified us that spoke with maintenance & they told her what to do - it kinda seemed to work for a few hours then stopped again & unfortunately it was not, maintenance never did come out to look at it & we were HOT and uncomfortable ALL night ! But Thank you to the Manager Tiffany for trying, maintenance SHOULD have come out to look at it. We appreciate the Managers Effort.

We loved the room and the style, we had an exterior room so we had 3 windows, which was lovely at golden hour. The room was very clean, which we appreciated, and the AC was very nice, especially in the Texas heat. The staff was also very nice!

There's no microwave or fridge of any kind, and while we understand that the room we booked is without a kitchenette, it still made it difficult to cook meals in the room and store food. We had a cooler and the hotel had an ice machine so everything worked out, but we did miss the appliances we're used to lol.

It was cute, rustic, clean. Evening desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable, great towels.

We were put in the annex, not the main hotel. And nothing on the website we used indicated there was an annex and that our room was there. The morning clerk was helpful. The main hotel was a gorgeous building with several lovely sitting areas. It was disappointing to see this and be put in the annex. But to be fair we reserved the day before our arrival. Also no fridge in the room. No complimentary breakfast.

Located on the main road 17 through town. This quaint little historic hotel met all of our expectations. There are three units, one being the main house, Orchard Suites (next door) and Casa Limpia (just across the street). We stayed in the Casas. They were nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. We had breakfast at the Double Shot Coffee Lounge. Pancakes, sausage and eggs as well as tasty coffee started our morning off right. The night before we had a wonderful dinner at the Harvard Hotel Bar and Grill. If you’re there in the fall, you’ve got to try the butternut squash soup!!! .

If staying at the Casa ask for a room away from the street. Casas don’t have a refrigerator.

There are limited choices for lodging in Ft. Davis but we were happy with our choice. The parking was good and location was across the street from a place with good food for lunch and dinner. The historic hotel has nice grounds, an enclosed, wrap around veranda and upstairs balconies (nice!). The room was comfortable and the bathroom was not cramped.

No breakfast, just a basket of Nutrigrain bars. Coffee supplies in room did not match the pod coffee maker, made a mess. (4-cup packet for a 1-cup maker). Had coffee in the lobby 1st day, none second day. No refrigerator in room.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the lobby and room smelled really clean and fresh. The room was so much bigger than I expected- and had an entire kitchen! More like a small apartment than a hotel room. (Only applies to Orchard Suites rooms, not the whole property). Great location- you can walk to the center of town. We got a free coffee coupon for the hotel's coffee shop for every coffee drinker in the party. That was a nice touch! Coffee shop was nice too- lots of room and excellent selection of local coffee. I'm definitely staying here again if I'm in Fort Davis again!

The bathroom was a bit cramped but that is very much a product of this being a historic hotel with authentic antique appliances. Small downside to an excellent hotel!

Great historical building, really helpful staff, wonderful location in the town. Perfect for a 1 night stay. Lovely facilities and a 'funky' vibe to the place - liked it very much & can't praise the front of house staff enough...

Once you accept that it's an old building, and that some of the features (bathroom) are a bit 'characterful', it's fine - danger of sounding like a techno grouch by saying not enough plug sockets, but considering when it was built, multiple USB ports probably wasn't on the agenda! We had Room 30, which is downstairs, and has terrace on 2 sides - if people choose to 'sit and rock' on the chairs, they might as well be in the room with you. Oh, and book ahead for any of the restaurants in town - they either shut ridiculously early (what is it with American's eating dinner at 6 o'clock?) or they're full, and there are only 3 in the town. But it's fun...

This was a perfect spot for my trip to the McDonald Observatory. Fort Davis is a small town with a number of excellent places to eat (best burrito I ever had at Lupita's!) and a number of small gift shops. The hosts at the hotel were warm and responsive.

This is a classically beautiful building, but the walls are thin. I could hear the family across the hall all night.

The hotel was centrally located (we had a room in the annex building) in the middle of town and everything was reachable on foot. Parking on the street was no problem at all and the room was well decorated, clean and had a nice view towards the mountains. It was also pretty big with lots of windows. I would definitely stay there again and can only recommend it.

Loved loved loved the location! I have been coming here since 1987! Just love the history, the lobby, the feel of the whole place! It has so much soul!! Beds were super comfy! The free coffee in the morning and the cute little coffee shop were great!!

The housekeeping missed us one day out of our three. Would like a little more variety in the hotel menu for dinner.
