Ashmore Inn Amarillo

Our room was quiet, even the heat/cooling system (which worked well). Everything was clean, price was very reasonable through booking.com, desk agent was welcoming and helpful. My husband didn't get hot water for his shower and couldn't get the TV to work so called the front desk. He came up right away and cheerfully checked those things out. The shower just took a long time to heat up (still wasn't super hot) and the cable box had gotten moved back too far to receive signal. He was happy to help. There was a lovely kitchenette in our room, although we didn't stay long enough to use it. I would stay here again.

Bed was a little hard, but not terribly uncomfortable, Breakfast was your basic motel variety, but no fresh fruit or yogurt. It wasn't bad, just unimpressive. The scrambled eggs were good. There was also sausage which my husband said was good, along with make-your-own waffles, cereal, toast, juice, coffee, tea.

It was clean and the staff was really friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is decent. I was so glad they had eggs and bacon since my husband is a diabetic and can't eat sweet stuff. Thank you! It's also quiet which is nice too. And there's a Cracker Barrel right by it also. It had a coffee pot in the room, and a refrigerator and microwave, which all worked fine and were clean. I never tried room service so I'm not sure what that's like. The chair and ottoman in the room was pretty comfy to kick back in, I liked that too.

The only thing that I didn't like was that there's no fan in the room or bathroom to let out the humidity from the room or bathroom. So it got a little humid. And the fan on the ac/heater doesn't blow very much. It was a little difficult to get stuff at breakfast with everyone trying to get food and coffee all at once, people are just rude and get right on top of you practically, and there's not much counter space to move over.

I needed a 1st floor room because we just bought a dirt bike and didn’t want to leave it in the back of the truck with the possibility of it getting stolen but there was none available. The 2 people working at the front desk were wonderful they told us that we could use a room that wasn’t being used to store the bike showed us the room and completely put our worry at ease. We were in Amarillo for the Bowers MX dirt bike races and the night before we were told 2 dirt bikes were stolen from the back of the prick at another hotel so we were really concerned Ashmore inn and Suites employees were amazing we will definitely stay again

Ashmore is in a very convenient location off I-40, and close to downtown Amarillo, restaurants, etc..I loved the curb appeal, and my 3rd floor room had a lake front view. There is elevator access to the 3rd and 4th floor. This place is very aesthetically pleasing inside and out. There is warmth and serenity while present. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and hospitable. I loved they had an indoor pool/jacuzzi and exercise room. This place exceeded my expectations, and my 12 y/o son was ecstatic with the amenities and accommodations. They also have a full breakfast every morning; not just continental. The outside courtyard with gazebo is gorgeous. I made a walking path just to enjoy the environment. If you're going on business, they have a business center, and meeting conference room. The WiFi was great; no connectivity issues at all. My son and I loved this place, and will definitely book here again when visiting family in Amarillo.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. This is a great place for the price.

I like the Niceness of the desk staff and the cleanliness of the hotel - simple and classy.

I forgot and left my jewelry on the bed I came back it was gone the housekeeper had been there, left and was coming back in when I was leaving the second time after I looked for it.Im very disappointed ☹️ .She acted very suspicious. It was 4 gold chains, 2 necklaces with diamond crosses. Very nice jewelry and 1 pair gold earrings.2 pairs silver earrings, 2silver necklaces chain link and silver and diamond crosses.

It was in a good location. Liked the gym. I liked the idea of the indoor pool, even though I did not get to use it. Breakfast was good, especially the weekend breakfast.

Person who checked us in had an attitude and acted like I was bothering her when I asked questions. Head of cleaning staff was kind of rude when I asked for staff to come back and clean as we were getting dressed to leave. I felt that the sheets were not the cleanest, as I saw several strands of hair on the bed upon inspection.

The building itself was very nice, “outdated, but in a classy way”. The room was clean. There were vending machines conveniently scattered throughout the hotel. Gym was adequate for a hotel.

Nit-picky items: Bed faces an awkward direction (back to door, adjacent to TV) this made watching tv in bed very hard. The treadmill in the gym needs a new belt, someone could potentially trip on it. Not the biggest spread for breakfast, all carbs. Breakfast got pretty packed around 0715, a line started behind the one waffle maker, and single toaster. Family friendly, which meant kids hogging the pool and running up and down the halls till midnight.

Easy check in, front desk was very nice. The room was mostly clean, though there was a pink ring in the toilet suggesting it had not been scrubbed in a while. Very quiet and beds/pillows were comfortable.

Breakfast was disappointing. There was no fruit, yogurt, or anything "lighter" to eat. The biscuits were hard as rocks and the only pastries were packaged grocery store fare. I ended up having cereal, but there was only whole milk so I asked for a milk substitute, which they did have.

Bed was comfy. AC cooled well. Felt comfortable. Clean.

Housekeeping kept knocking on the door while we slept in the morning to see if the room was vacant yet. I had a newborn and didn't appreciate the constant knocking because it kept waking my baby up. Wish the pool could stay open later than 10pm. We were out with family most of the day so my kids were only able to swim for 1 hour. Sofa bed was a little uncomfortable. Could feel all the springs.

My state here was very pleasant the staff was helpful and friendly. My room was clean and quiet I was able to park fairly close to a exit. The breakfast was good and I was able to feel full and able to travel on without worrying about where to eat for breakfast. The price of the room was good I have recently paid more for rooms not as comfortable or as clean. I would stay there again.
