Best Western Padre Island

The breakfast was very nice and the room was clean and new. The pillows were blocks of foam. My main complaint was the pool was closed and the noise from the room next door was too much. The location is very good and for the price a great place to stay.

I love the free breakfast. Love having the pool available even with the beach so close. Love that it’s dog friendly. Love the quality of the rooms especially the suite.

the one complaint I have (which is so small that I won’t knock any stars or lower my rating) is that this is the kind of hotel that gives you the small square pillows to sleep with. instead of providing normal queen size pillows or even King size pillows, the pillows they have on their beds are too small for a good night sleep. Last stay we had, we stayed in the suite which had a pullout couch. when we called for extra bedding for the pullout, we were provided with bedding but they had already ran out of pillows from other guests realizing the small pillows would not be enough. This place is almost perfect if they would just provide normal sized pillows.

The staff is awesome; especially Holly is so fun and helpful. Really appreciate the heart-felt, positive energy she brings to the place. The hotel is almost 30 years old, and they are working on updates the best they can. We initially had a room without a freezer unit upon check-in, and they immediately moved us to a much nicer room upstairs with a freezer. Such a great customer experience! Thank you again!

The location was good, did not like the u-turns to get to the hotel and to leave but overall great location. The breakfast was great, something for everyone to enjoy!

The mini fridge never got cold enough to cool our drinks and the pool closed at 10, so leaving the beach, going to dinner, the kids did not get to enjoy the pool.

The staff is exceptionally friendly, especially Holly! It's an older motel with near proximity to all the North Padre and Mustang Island beaches. Bay view from the rooms. We love it.

Prices are in general a bit too high for an older motel like this, but the location is great and the staff is fantastic, so we keep coming back.

There was a verity for breakfast which is nice, and the cleaning staff was awesome. Bringing clean towels everyday which was very nice when you’re going to the beach, the pool, and showering everyday.

the parking lot is kind of small,and the door handle was a little loose.

Breakfast was an average hotel buffet, absolutely nothing special about it and it ends too early. The maids were the sweetest and most helpful. Two of the front desk employees acted like I was imposing by asking a question. The other two young ladies at the front desk were helpful. The worst thing about this property is getting in your room, the door key/entry system is the worst! Bed was average and the refrigerator had to be wiped out before I could use it bug overall it was a clean room. The property location is excellent but be warned a lot of fishermen stay there so they can get a very early start. I stayed 8 days and saw them come and go especially early in the morning. It's an okay place in an ideal location.....

The gentleman at the front desk was not helpful. The breakfast only had sweet sugary cereal, not many choices.

Breakfast was very good. The staff worked very hard on accommodating the crowds.

There was a bit of a shortage on blankets. I saw the staff working very hard to keep up. I know it is hard to hire enough staff right now. Maybe bring in some temps to help on weekends.

The place is older, but very clean and well maintained. Kyle at the front desk was super helpful and the cleaning staff was very friendly. The location was perfect. (View on waterfront, close to beaches and there is a Starbucks and mini-golf place right across the street at walking distance) The hotel has a washer and dryer which you can use ($1.50 each in quarters ) Which is nice to wash or dry your beach towels at the end of the day. And in case you forgot your own, they sell single wash-pods at the front desk. The hotel is pet-friendly!!! The curtains in ever room are sun-blocking, so for those who like to sleep in you don't have to worry about waking up early with the sun in your face. 😉 It's a good place for a nice price.

Cause of the weather change the doorlock didn't open easily. It took us a few tries every time to open our room door.

Location was perfect. AC in the room, just the way we like it, really cold, comfy beds... Nice pool, perfect in the evening, good lighting. Breakfast was really good!

Our room wasn't ready, had to wait awhile, everything else didn't disappoint.
