Wingate by Wyndham Corpus Christi

The room is good, the breakfast is pretty good, and the location is great. The management is better than it was when I visited in March.

The pool was very warm last time, but this time the pool was too cold and the hot tub was broken (which connects to the pool, likely being the reason the pool was closed). The beds are somehow not too comfortable. Can't put my finger on why. They should put better pillows on the beds. They are so soft. Or, offer different kinds of pillows. There are no waffles at breakfast. There are at the Wingate in Tulsa, for example.

The staff was friendly and nice. Breakfast was good, decent for continental. The juice machine was out but did provide juice from the gallon. Close to shops and not far from the water. Stayed here before knew what to expect.

Water pressure was low to none, the water line was being repaired, and it put a stop to showering or restroom. We arrived near the end of repair, so it did not take long for water to return, the pressure was not as strong as it should have been. I know it was unavoidable on the hotel's part, just slightly inconvenienced.

The room was clean and the A/C worked well. The amenities were also great.

The indoor pool was not as clean as it should be. I understand people come from the beach and sand ends up on the bottom of the pool, but there were also "things" floating in the pool. Breakfast selection could be improved.

The breakfast was really, really good. Bacon and sausage!! Waffles were good too, better than all the hotels I have been to in the last 1.5 months. Every day, they added a new flavor, plus the original. The beds were comfy. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cook greeted everyone in the morning and took care of the station very well. Attentive. Different options for restaurants in area.

Humid in the room, even with air conditioning on.

Neighbors were noisy, door were loud when closing.

The staff was amazing as we got there. We were supposed to bring our cat and what I liked about it was the staff did ask about our pet after I told her he didn't come she was nice to say "Sorry to hear about that" I love how knowledgeable they are to your needs especially when I asked online a few days before hand they remembered about our pet . You got a welcome call everytime you walked in or out of the hotel from all the staff. The rooms were comfortable and roomy for our family. Location was amazing had a variety of restaurants you can choose from, close the mall, and some restaurants were a walking distance and right off the highway. My family was comfortable and relaxed especially my kids usually fighting over space or just stressed of having long drives to certain restaurants. We will definitely book again. Thank you again for the all the staff in their awesome customer service.

We didn't hate anything only disappointed was that the pool was under maintenance at the time. I understand not everything would be perfect but it didn't stop our family spirits since the day was still beautiful to enjoy the beach.

Clean/newer facilities and convenient location right off the highway. Always coffee and tea available at the front. Housekeeping system works well.

Manager embarrassingly yelled at me across the lobby when I stepped to window to write down the plate number on the form, front desk took well over 20 minutes to check me in and confused my 3 night stay for 2 days, room temp hard set to 62 degrees (had to look up online how to override it), continental breakfast the same every single day, pool is under construction and parking very limited. Staff does not mask.

convenient location (across from hospital) very clean, safe, gated and well lit. the beds were extra comfy , showers were roomy and the water pressure was the best !Every employee was friendly and the front desk person and manager were extra friendly! I even received a call from the manager to see if everything was to my satisfaction and welcomed me back for next visit !

the only thing was that no ice machine on my floor , and my window had no curtains . But those are minimal things !

Clean room, friendly staff,

When I booked I told them I was in a wheelchair but was given the furthest room down the long hall. Also the beds were way to high. I need help getting into bed and it became a real chore to get lifted that high. Also once in the bed it was so hard I couldn’t stay asleep due to the pain on my hips. Great pillows though.

Staff friendliness and professionalism, premises and room amenities and location.

The breakfast was well organized and the variety was very accommodating . However, although my stay was for leisure, for the business traveler (as many of my traveling days were), the breakfast start time needs to be earlier. The current 7am leaves too little time to travel locally to a business meeting that may be miles away, commuted in morning traffic. I suggest, at least, a 6:45am time to open up for breakfast.
