Horseshoe Bay Resort

The putting course was very cute and interesting; it's $11/person (50% off) between 3-5pm every day. The staff was very friendly. The fitness center was open 24 hours/day and was well-appointed.

The restaurant was one of the most expensive in the area; you are definitely paying a premium for convenience. We wished there were more places to eat within the resort. Aside from Keurig in the room, there is only one place to get a quick coffee in the hotel and the servers don't always know what they're doing. If you miss your allotted time for cleaning in the morning, you have to call to get your room serviced. Room service automatically charged a service fee and tip to the order, making it about 50% more expensive than the listed menu price. The only place to refill water bottles was in the fitness center, which was a 5 minute walk away from the main hotel.

Amenities, beautiful landscape. Zen garden needs updating but still beautiful for morning and evening walk. Myfriends and I spent a day in the spa. It’s all worth it. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

they need to update their TV in the rooms, they are not SMART TV’s. tried to stream some shows in the evening/night, hard to set up, a staff helped , he called for help on the site and even that didn’t help, finally gave up on that. We were out more during the day to enjoy the facilities., so it was not big deal.

Location. Great staff. All staff members were more than willing to answer all inquiries. Restaurants provided high quality food and staff as well.

The fact they didn’t accept cash for anything. We had to pay by credit card or attach costs to our room. We don’t like having our method of payment directed or channeled by their preferences. No warning pool would close for half our stay while they painted building by pool. Some notice would have helped. Preferred that pool as opposed to option of going to yacht club pool.

Hotel itself was great, room was big enough, however no balcony. Main pool area was fine, open till late however bar closed early. Coffee shop made the best cappuccinos to date! Did not eat breakfast in the restaurant but did eat at the marina. The marina area was great, dont forget to book, however when we went, no one checked our reservation. Cocktails and pool area was spacious and relaxing, however did get a couple of rowdy patrons who were not at the hotel but from local dealership, which made it a bit unpleasant. Otherwise a great stay.

The photos on booking.com would give you the indication that the hotel was on the lake front, but it is not. Its a good few hundred meters away with bus shuttles down to the marina area. The hotel has a membership for local residents, so expect a lot more people than the hotel residents that use the facilities, plus the local company has some sort of agreement with them as we had a influx of approx 15 guys who ended up taking over the adults pool and was noisy and rowdy.

all the staff were extremely friendly! every place we went was clean and tidy and there was always someone doing something!

nothing! everything was great. however i would suggest allow employees to try out the facilities, that way they can give honest opinions about foods, amenities etc. best advertisement is word of mouth and what better way to reward your valuable employees??!!

Wonderful resort for a long weekend getaway. Everything you need amd want to enjoy is right here. You won't have to get back in your car until you leave!

We have been coming here for over 10 years. The prices have gone sky high on everything from room costs to golf fees.

Great location, great staff,beautiful views, many pools to chose from. One of the best experiences I’ve had at a resort so far.

Our hotel room had little to no air the first night, so they moved us to another room for the second. only slept 3 hours the first night. I would appreciate a room credit for that night instead of a $40 resort credit.

We stayed in a one bedroom villa. It was very comfortable with plenty of space. The resort was great for kids! We loved the evening activities. The birds and mini golf were awesome, too!

We were disappointed and surprised that the pools were not heated and there were no lifeguards during spring break week. Also, we wish that the bed was a King size bed in the one bedroom Villa.

Excellent breakfast buffet, on-site restaurants, pool, hot tub, bird sanctuary, mini putt golf, and tennis courts. Also, with your stay you get free access to the yacht club pool, hot tub (the biggest in Texas), and club restaurants.

Can't say.....I come every year because it is the perfect getaway near Austin.

Really nice and comfortable, especially since it was a really hot day in Texas 108 degrees.

Found a half eaten bar of candy next to a little round red pill, in a drawer on night stand. Did not give me a warm fuzzy for safety.
