Candlewood Suites DFW West - Hurst, an IHG Hotel

I enjoyed the quiet, cleanliness and newness. The location was perfect with many stores and restaurants nearby. liked the workout and pool.

When I booked through booking dot.com I reserved two King Suites non smoking and they were to be a-joining for the family. When we arrived (it was late) the rooms we had booked had been given to someone else and we got two rooms with two queens and both rooms were on different floors. I'm not sure who was at fault, however when you book a specific room and you guaranty with a credit card the hotel should hold the rooms.

I loved how clean it was with attention to covid policies. Everything well designed and very useful. The in-suite kitchen was fantastic. Full size fridge, dishwasher, stove, and so cute and organized. This is my favorite hotel room I've ever stayed in. The hotel itself is in a perfect location if you have a car. Right next to Aldi and shopping options. There's a fitness room and free laundry although I didn't use them. I paid less for this room than at a different hotel that smelled bad, looked grimy and had a broken elevator.

It doesn't include breakfast with the reservation. I wish the pool were heated. The people above me were walking loudly and dropping things one night. It was so hard to sleep.

I liked that the staff was extremely friendly. It set the tone as soon as you walked in. Our front desk person, Lamar, was so personable and friendly. I immediately knew that I had made a good choice in booking this hotel after conversation with him during the check-in process. My family was comfortable as well whenever we needed extra towels, blankets, etc. We especially liked the kitchenette! We went to the grocery stores which were nearby and we were able to cook our own food and eat when we got ready to eat.

Very comfortable stay.. The location was great. Easy access to highway for us to maneuver back & forth to the arena & stadium. Walmart & target were very close by. Finding places to eat was a piece of cake, hard part for us was deciding where to go. Parking was no issue especially after returning to the hotel after midnight 2 nights in a row. Has a dunkin donuts next door so my kids loved that walk

Not a major issue but there was a shortage of washcloths apparently so for 3 people our room only had 2. Quick fix by finding dollar tree and walmart to not have use a hand towel to shower.

Basically everything. The location is safe and convenient. The room is large, clean, properly maintained, and well-facilitated. Staffs are nice. Free laundry is a big plus. Exceptionally suited for an extended stay.

Asked me for room change after I move my luggage in. Should not assign a room that needs to move out after only one day.

Our stay was just overnight. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was great!

I assumed that a continental breakfast would be offered, but no breakfast. This was my fault. Being a “suites” hotel I should have known beforehand that the rooms were for longer term, apartment-style residency. The room and staff were great however. No complaints!

I stayed in a bed room suite with a full kitchen and I felt just at home. Bed was comfortable and the whole suite was overall spacious. I loved my room.

During the day when I leave for an event I expected to have room service while I’m out. New towels, refill of bathroom needs, etc. Came back none of that. I’m not sure how this hotel runs stuff but you most likely would have to call for room service on your own. During my stay I never once had no room service. I would have to call for anything i needed. Another thing I disliked was the smell of the hallway on my floor. During my stay on Level 3 walking out my room was not it. I finally noticed I stayed on a floor where there were dogs, don’t get me wrong I love dogs but I couldn’t stand the smell. Had I known that from beginning of check in I would have asked to stay on a different floor or something.

The kitchen was amazing they supply pan and dish set. It was quiet and I really don't have any complaints about the rooms staff or anything of the likes just wish I would have researched a little more on distance from things to do. Overall I would probably stay here again if I need to come visit Hurst.

It's kind of far from the main parts of Dallas I had an appointment in hurst but I wish I would have known how far it was gonna be to travel to see things.

new, clean facility close to conference center and just across intersection from walmart, so excellent for getting groceries. easy access to main highways for travel. beds were decent; ive had better, but ive also had worse. everything was clean clean clean! that’s all that matters to us! there’s also good restaurants nearby.

only negative was the people walking around above us loudly until 3AM

I didn't know it provided a breakfast. From the outside of the building it looked very plain, felt too expensive for what I was paying, but once I got inside I was pleasantly surprised at how really nice it was.

I would have like a 'safe' inside our room - most nice hotels have those.
