Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Irving DFW Airport North, an IHG Hotel

What I did not like is the promise from the hotel (I called and spoke to a worker to make sure) that when I landed I could simply call and they would send over my shuttle. After a LONG 36 hours of travel, I called and they said that their service was behind and I would have to wait another hour for the shuttle. That was one of the main reasons I booked, to have the shuttle to take me. I had to pay $40 to take a taxi because I was sooo exhausted and ready for rest that waiting an hour for the shuttle seemed like hell.

Wait for the courtesy shuttle at the Airport was complicated and lengthy ( we had to call it at Arrival)

Got stuck due to a problem with our flight. Made a last minute booking for a suite and got a great price. The room was very spacious, super clean, close to the airport and the shuttle showed up within 15 minutes after I called for a ride. Check in was a breeze and they provided us with everything we needed including recommendations for food. The staff at this hotel are exceptional. After the shuttle dropped us off the next morning at the airport I realized we forgot a package in the back of the van. When I called the hotel, they advised me the shuttle driver had already circled back to our terminal to try and look for us to return it. We waited and he jumped out with the item and a smile. Great attention to detail and willing to go the extra mile. The breakfast at this hotel is also really good. There is a larger variety and it’s good! This hotel was the highlight of an otherwise lousy situation with our airline.

Absolutely nothing to dislike

Great suite. Lots of space for my family. Great to have free airport shuttle shuttle drivers were nice and helpful Nice spacious bathroom Everything was clean and fresh while they did not have a restaurant, they had tons of food available for purchase (microwave dinners) that you could take and make in your room. great breakfast included.

The desk clerk was not at his post but had a sign that he was helping a guest and would be back in a minute. After waiting 10 minutes, and 3 more people in line, my husband found a bell behind the sign and rang it and the clerk came out from behind. I am assuming he was having his dinner. He should have left the bell in sight or kept an eye out for the line.

Nice Breakfast was offered , lots of choices offered. Rooms was cleaned when we arrived, Service personnel friendly and helpful during our 3 night stay. / two room stay. Front desk was accommodating to our special request to have room next to each other. Over all it was a pleasant stress free stay.

Only issue that I can note was that breakfast on Sunday morning was a little problematic only due to many hotel guest was there and the food was running out very quickly. I'm sorry to say that many of the guest gave little consideration to others, but I guess that just the way things are in these days,.

We are fans of the Holiday Inn Express hotels, and this one kept the flame going. The room was very big, and everything in it worked perfectly. The grounds were clean, and the breakfast was good and plenty. Freeway access and nearby restaurants were good.

It's not the hotel's fault, but the people in Texas are very loud when they walk down hallways. On top of that, a couple of rooms down, everyone congregated in the hallway at 10PM to have some sort of (very loud) get together. The motel staff had to run them off.

We arrived into DFW late evening on Saturday night returning from Europe. Knew we would be too tired to travel so made this reservation. They also have an airport shuttle that they called for us. Demarcus was the gentleman on duty and he was who I spoke to when I called for the shuttle. He was very nice, gave perfect directions and provided an ETA for the pickup. We were very lucky to only have to wait about 10 minutes to get the shuttle which filled up quickly. There were 8 seats filled and the driver was great. Did drop offs quickly as he had to return for more riders. At the hotel to check in Demarcus was handling check in, shuttle requests, front desk duties and he was not missing a beat. I hope this IHG location recognizes how hard he works. Breakfast buffet was fine. Everything was done well. Except for the carpet in the elevator Everything seemed clean and tidy. Would recommend.

The breakfast was excellent. Set up for self-serve with Wide selection of hot and cold breakfast options. Fresh fruit, hot and cold cereals, omelets, breakfast sausage, bacon, yoghurts, variety of breakfast breads, juices, good hot coffee. Pristine dining area and friendly efficient staff .

Every aspect of my visit met or exceeded my expectations and needs. I was impressed with the attention to detail for guest comfort and customer service that I encountered throughout my stay. I also used the extended parking service that this site offers for one week, and appreciated the secure lighted parking facilities with 24 hour security and reasonable extended parking fee at Holiday Inn Express and Suites Irving . Ditto for the 24 hour DFW Airport Shuttle service - top level customer care !

The front desk staff was amazing, friendly, efficient, amiable. They started our vacation of on a wonderful note! Then our shuttle driver was great,chatting with us and giving us advice about the terminal! (Hope he had a great birthday !) A hotel is often just a hotel, not much difference from one to the other. It is an excellent staff that makes the difference. Highly recommend the people, they went the extra mile!

The staff is amazing! They were so helpful and kind. My husband stayed last night, and I stayed there by myself two weeks ago. Both times we flew in on an international flight early in the morning. They allowed us to wait in the lobby until they had a room clean and then pay a fee to get in a room early (around 9:00 a.m.). After flying all night, we were so grateful!! We thought we would have to sit in the lobby for hours until check-in time since that was the only time the flight came in (12:30am-5:15am), so it was amazing to get in a room early and be able to get some rest! My husband does not like traveling, but he flew internationally anyways for the adoption of two teens, and he was so tired and stressed from the trip. I can not say enough about how great the staff are at this hotel. The worker at the front desk really put him at ease and helped calm his nerves! The breakfast is great, too, but I would stay there again just because of the staff even if the breakfast wasn't great!
