Holiday Inn Express Springdale - Zion National Park Area, an IHG Hotel

The staff at the property are great - ver friendly, knowledgable, and go out of their way to assist. The room was very spacious and clean. The location of the property is excellent for visiting Zion National Park, with the shuttle taking you to the park in no time. A nice hotel to come back to after a long day of hiking and exploring in the park. Also very close to many restaurants.

The only gripe was that the AC auto function was not working properly. If the AC was set at a lower temperature, it would never slow down, even though the room has been cooled, and if the temperature was increased slightly, the room becomes very hot as the AC does not cool the room adequately.

the different seating areas were nice at the end of long hikes. we LOVED the heated pool and hot tub after hiking all day. every day the pool was out of towels and we would have to tell the desk who would promptly ensure more were sent down. wish these were just there without asking. rooms were clean, comfortable and had great views. shuttle stop was convenient and very close. several very good restaurants within walking distance. appreciated the breakfast every morning and that the coffee/tea station had a separate spigot for hot water so anyone making tea never had to deal with it partly tasting of coffee.

wish the towels were filled at the pool more frequently.

Nice view. Well located. Breakfast adequate. Clean, nice building, good parking, etc. Best choice I saw in Springdale, and was happy to spend three nights there. Pool: if not a lap pool, of no interest to me.

we loved the property, great breakfast inclusion. staff were super helpful. bed and pillows were comfy, clean room.

We didn’t like the lack of ventilation in the bathroom, after a quick warm shower the bathroom was completely steamy and the towels barely dried between uses. we were on the bottom level and every morning around 7am we could here the rooms above us - moving furniture ect. that we can deal with but if you are light sleeper maybe request a higher room.

The pool area was lovely. Gorgeous setting, clean, & the hot tub glorious! The breakfast was also great, not much choice, but was absolutely fine, and the staff at breakfast were so friendly. Parking right outside the hotel, and just outside our room actually, was very convenient. Springdale shuttle bus stop number 6 almost right outside the hotel which was great!

Whilst the room had a kitchen, we were surprised that there were no plates, glasses or any crockery items etc. There were only some paper cups and spoons to make coffee, nothing else. Seems a bit pointless then to have a kitchen that you actually can't use. Even if we bought a microwave meal, we would have had nothing to eat it with.

The hotel is beautiful, nicely decorated, well-maintained, with an incredible view. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location is perfect - close to shops and restaurants, and near shuttle stop 6 to get into Zion. The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and kind to my kids! Breakfast is great but gets very crowded - plan enough time into your schedule. Highly recommend sitting outside at the fire pits in the evenings, watching the mountains change color as the sun sets!

Loved the location. The views were amazing from everywhere (breakfast, patios, common balconies, front, back, you name it. Rooms were very comfortable and the fridge and microwave helped perfect. Pool and hot tub were very nice!

Bathroom was a little small, sink on very left of counter was out of place. Main fire pit was out of order and there was minor construction at pool area, but it was ok because it looked like upgrades.

Everything was exceptional!  We booked due to its close proximity to the entrance of Zion National Park. (We actually walked the two miles to the park visitor center after check in due to snowy, icy conditions and road closures.) Additionally, a two-night, GREAT deal was offered. Traveling in off-peak season, room rates were about one third of high-season summer rates.  Warmly greeted and check in was a breeze.  Well maintained and clean room and bathroom.  Amenities were sweet--mini Keurig, and Dove bathroom soaps and lotions in pump form. Beds and pillows "just right." As an aside, we were confused about the shower.  To turn on the shower, pull the handle straight out rather than turning it. Included breakfast was exceptional. From bacon, sausage, cheese omelets to bagels, yogurt, fruit and granola, something for everyone! And the breakfast workers, exceptionally friendly!  Jennifer warmly greeted everyone. I wish I'd gotten every worker's name because they ALL deserve my highest compliments. Professions in hospitality are difficult.  From front desk employees, to room cleaners to breakfast servers, they NAILED IT! A final comment... our room was on the back side of the hotel and we had a great view of the mountains right outside our window.  Plus, a long soak in the outside jacuzzi was a great way to conclude a long day of hiking.

We used the waffle machine, which is nice instead of simply stale pastries like other hotels, but I would have appreciated more protein provided instead of simply boiled eggs. (I suggest they add maybe peanut butter or bring your own)

I booked two rooms. They were the same price, but one room was considerably smaller than the other (it's the end room on the 2nd floor). It just seems strange to me. It was an attractive property on a beautiful location. Being close to a shuttle stop to get to Zion National Park was great. Room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very nice.

Our only complaint is that there was only one washing machine for guests to use. To be honest, there were two but one was broken. For a facility that size they should have had far more washing machines. We were not expecting the lack of washing machines and had to go to an outside laundromat which was inconvenient. We did not want to wait in line for a machine.
