The whole hotel is great, the breakfast is nice, the outdoor patio is comfy when it's not sweltering. The rooms are very clean and taken care of, as well as the ability to cast to the TV was a plus for me and my gf. Overall very good stay.

The only thing I can complain about is the price. When I first went there, it was affordable and it didn't hurt the wallet, but the prices have doubled if not tripled so sadly I don't see myself going back much anymore

Breakfast was just right with scrambled eggs, sausage links and Pattie's, pastries, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, and u can make yr own pancakes. Coffee 24/27. Check out convenient with checkout via email. Staff very pleasant. Facility only 3 yrs old so fairly new and clean. Enjoyed use of fitness room and pool. Walkable to Berguland Center.

We liked the location & comfort of our rooms, and your front desk staff was very nice.

Our TV "streaming" never worked & when I called the front desk, the girl was very nice & came to our room to see if she could work it. She couldn't & said she'd contact the tech support person to fix it. Then, she called from the front desk to tell me she was off duty & gave me the # to call myself. Never mind... Also the USB charger next to the bed didn't work. That was also being referred to the tech person, but then I was told to mention that when I called! This morning when I went to breakfast, the pancake batter was empty & I told the person there. That was never replenished. The muffin display was empty except for lots of crumbs left there. This was a very disappointing experience after the excellent one we had in Nashville.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was close to downtown and less than a mile from I-581. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of items. They kept the area clean and neat, and made sure that the food was replenished as it got low. No complaints at all and will definitely stay here again. A great value!

We were there for a dance competition . Wasnt able to enjoy the outside due to all the homeless . Didn't feel safe with my girls to sit outside . It was bad just going over to the sheetz across the street only to see the homeless robbing sheetz blind . Other than that the hotel was awesome . Peacefull and quiet . Staff was awesome . Having a Starbucks there was exactly on point when having to be up early and an all day event

Staff -- desk, cleaning, and others -- very pleasant and helpful. Room essentially perfect: well designed bathroom, good closets, ironing board, Keurig coffee, microwave, refrigerator, safe, TV/cable, ample outlets including USBs, all in great operating condition. Impeccably clean. Excellent open business area with PCs, internet, and printer. Fine breakfast. Pleasant patio with fire pit. Plenty of luggage carts. Location great, linking interstates with city streets.

Daily room service not provided for short stays... understandable given universal staffing challenges. BUT ample towels, and easy to get service upon request.

Great location near Berglund center and downtown! We also recommend Sidewinders!

Upon arrival we stood at front desk and watched the man talk on the phone and the lady talk to another person for 15 minutes before being helped. We were in a bit of a rush. I feel as though that would be the perfect situation for a call center… a group of individuals specifically for this hotel that can take calls and solve problems efficiently while the front line workers can help guests in front of them.

From the second we walked through the door we were greeted like an old friend coming by for a visit...The Holiday Inn Express was clean and smelled fresh. T he beds were more comfortable than ours at home. My wife now wants to buy a mattress like theirs. The pillow cases were even marked firm/soft. I loved the hot breakfast vs the brown bags offered at other hotels...My wife has been coming to Roanoke on business and will do so until the end of the year.We normally look for the best deal, But after our stay.We have decided to make the Holiday Inn Express our hotel of choice. We feel like we are at home..We have already made plans to utilize the fire pit on our next trip...I give this hotel 5 stars....They turn up the service to 11

Great location for getting anywhere around Roanoke. Very close to the Civic Center and Airport. We spent 3 nights there and did some shopping. Great hotel, nice clean rooms, comfortable beds. Modern facility with indoor pool and workout room. Great little breakfast from 6am-10am. (scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, hot cakes, pastries, juice and coffee) Free coffee 24-7. Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

The surrounding area looked like a kind of industrial environment within walk distance from the hotel. Not an issue to stop for the night, however.
