Hyatt Place Roanoke Airport / Valley View Mall

The staff was so friendly. We arrived late Christmas Eve after many cancelled flights and delays. The young man at the front desk was so kind, warm and friendly. We were hungry and the cafe was closed. He offered to make us some breakfast sandwiches to take the edge off the hunger until the morning. He even made us a bowl of fruit. After being transferred to different airports then cancelled along the way, he was an angel! (I was so tired I forgot to ask his name!….he got off at 11pm that night). As always the room was huge and gave us weary travelers plenty of space to flop and decompress. Breakfast was AMAZING…..and it was Christmas Day! We will continue to use this as our home base when visiting our family in Roanoke. Great work!

The room was super clean and tidy, and fit our needs perfectly. We had extra guests on this trip, and the sofa bed was large and comfortable for them to sleep on. We were on the top floor, so it was quiet and peaceful at night. The breakfast provided was exceptional – free range eggs, healthy sausage and potatoes, plus all the bagels and cereals you could want. Great start to the day.

The bathroom was a bit cramped, but I suspect it's because we were in a suite-style room and the layout can only accommodate for so much.

I like the overall quality of this hotel. I have stayed here before when I visited my dad, and the service is always great. From the staff to the cleanliness of the rooms. The beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is great as well.

Can't say there was anything to complain about.

I really liked that the sitting room and the bed area were separated. The room was a good size for the our of us. The breakfast was great as well!

I didn't like that the water was a funky color for a while, but it cleared up. There was also some loud construction or maintenance going on near our room at 7 o-clock in the evening.

The room was lovely and CLEAN! We were on a return trip from a funeral from WV back to NC, the night before we stayed at the Hampton Inn on Plantation Rd in Roanoke. We could not stay there another night, it was very disappointing. Worse, it wasn’t clean! The staff at Hyatt was wonderful, very friendly!!

The mattress was softer than we like.

The breakfast was ok. location was great right by the mall and a few eatery’s.

Bathroom shower was dirty. No one could provide me with the access code for the tv. There was no orange juice at breakfast. The elevator sounded as if it would get stuck each time i went on it. No one came to tidy the room when we left.

The staff was very friendly! Before I made my reservation I called ahead to see if the allow pets since I was traveling with my mom and our dog. When we arrived we were greeted with smile and let us know everything they had to offer. My room was facing the front so I had a beautiful view!

The water pressure was awful and it took forever to wash soap off. We would turn the water all the way up and too the highest heat and it still wasn’t warm enough.

Bed was extremely comfortable, room layout was good. It was nice to have a separate wet bar, seating area, and bed area.

We were in a room next to the elevators so it was a little noisy. The bathroom was a tight squeeze which is related to the fact that rooms next to the elevator are more shallow than the other rooms. Overall still met our expectations for a one-night stay while passing through.

The staff was amazing. Close to everything. My only complaint is not with the hotel but with Booking. Price online was the same as hotels which I could have gotten a better deal calling directly with my military discount,like $40 cheaper. Booking is not always your best deal. I highly recommend this hotel

The hotel was very nice. We had a high floor king suite, with plenty of room. Also, Marketa went out of her way to make sure we were welcomed on our trip and made us feel special.

The breakfast could have been improved with fresh fruit, packages of grits, muffins, and a waffle maker. It was very nice to have breakfast, but it didn't have much variety.
