Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Roanoke Salem

This stay was amazing! I was here for a conference that was happening at Roanoke college, and this was very close and convenient to the location. The room was so amazing and it was very clean, spacious, and the bathroom was amazing! The breakfast the next day was also really tasty and, given that I had left my wallet accidentally in my room, the staff called me immediately to let me know, which was above and beyond amazing!

I think the cheese/ham croissants could have been kept from being over heated on steam table. The cheese had melted away and the croissant was getting hard and dry. The carpet in room was dark blue but I could tell it needed shampooing because it left my knee with dirt stains and edges and corners of floor hasn't been touch in a while, dust accumulation.

Oops! I liked the location. I liked the room except the above mentioned. Bathroom was very clean. The TV was large enough and the channel selection was adequate. The staff was friendly, especially the cleaning staff.

Was somewhat disappointed in the breakfast. Didn't have waffle machine and was expecting a full breakfast. That's what your website made it sound like. Also, was surprised there was no small refrigerator in room.

The pool was closed for repairs. It would have been nice if this could have been noted on Booking.com. This gives the customer the option to still choose or not choose this location.

this is my “go to” hotel when I travel to and from New York. it’s convenient, clean and I like the gym. the staff is always nice and friendly. I brought a friend with me this time and she also liked the facility.

The staff at the location were great. The facility was nice & comfortable I would visit again.

I would just ask that the floor be vacuumed a little more, other than that I didn’t have any issues.

I appreciated the hot breakfast. It was tasty and the server was friendly and hard working. Overall, the property was clean and well maintained. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We slept well!

It took a few tries to get onto the internet, but we got there eventually.

We weren’t able to get a hotel in Blacksburg for a football game, but that was a blessing in disguise! We avoided the crazy traffic and crowds, had a delicious breakfast, and were close to other restaurants for dinner. It was a beautiful, clean hotel!

I did not like that I was charged $6.95 x 2 for data service. I don't know if we requested it accidentally or if it is an added charge at this hotel. For a room that was to be $109.00, I ended up paying $137.40. Normally I would not complain, but being in a fixed income makes a difference to me.

The room is beautiful & beds are very comfortable.

The night we checked in there was about 30 college age people partying in the hotel parking lot. They were blasting music & yelling so loud, it sounded like they were rioting. They were completely drunk, screaming angrily at each other, & my family was concerned for our safety. We were worried that our vehicle would be damaged in the hotel parking lot. We talked with the front desk clerk about our concerns, & he stated that the General Manager “Summer” did not have a problem with everyone partying in the hotel parking lot. The next day we woke up to bits of broken glass & trash all over the parking lot. The trash was still there the next evening.
