West End Washington DC, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

We were very happy with the hotel with one exception, the location. We had a room on the street side and the traffic, both foot and street were extremely loud. On our next trip we will ask for a room towards the back of the building otherwise everything was wonderful.

The room was larger than I expected, even having a little kitchenette. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

One night, there was some ruckus on the street around 3 am. I know this isn't the fault of the hotel, but maybe it's just the neighborhood. The windows were pretty thin, even letting in some cold air at night, but they faced the bed, which I liked for being awoken by the sun in the morning.

The location is excellent! Parking with come and go access is right across the street and at a reasonable rate. There are several great restaurants just steps away with outdoor seating. The staff was absolutely amazing! Each time we came back from the property we felt like we were greeting family as we got on the elevator to our room. And the best of all was being able to stay at such a lovely place at such a reasonable price.

There is a bar directly below the road facing side of the hotel. Every night around 1 AM the party moved from the bar to the sidewalk. I wish I had thought to call the reception desk but I did not. When I brought it to the staff’s attention, they apologized profusely and said next time to please let them know and they will take care of it. If I’m back in DC, I definitely want to stay at this hotel again. I will just try to get a room on the backside of the hotel.

The location is great. The room was clean and well appointed. Rum bar downstairs has yummy drinks and empanadas and my room was a short elevator ride away.

Could provide book of area interests including restaurants etc. Could provide channel guide for tv.

Location of the Hotel is convenient for walking to many locations. Safe area. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. The the Swedish is large with separate areas four bedroom, living room and kitchen. Kitchen even has a small dinette for two. Office area also. The Wi-Fi was good. The only problem was parking on the street or having to pay for parking in a parking garage. Although, the manager moved his car from me so I could park for free on the street across from the door! The area is beautiful with awesome architecture and beautiful landscaping. Everything was in bloom. Very pleasant stay.

There was just minor cleanliness issues such as finding a dirty Q-tip in the elevator. Otherwise the room was clean.

New modern looking facility, clean, free water dispenser, quiet and safe!

I think that pictures here are misleading. Hokey does not look like the pictures here but still looks nice. The Cuban bar is not part of the hotel, but it’s in the basement of the same building. Pillows were also extremely uncomfortable for me (they are very big and tight). Everything else was fine!

The room was great, and the front desk lady was amazing. She was the best front desk staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and I honestly cant say enough about how sweet, kind, helpful, and professional she was everytime I asked for help.

There was no hot water, after letting it run ten minutes you would be lucky if it was warm.

Easy access to GWU and local bakeries, coffee shops and restaurants. Casa’s below the hotel is a MUST! Incredible food, drinks and atmosphere. Room was spacious but bathroom was pretty small.

Rooms are a bit loud and not the best views from back side of hotel. First room they gave us literally looked into the parking garage and was very loud. We moved to the 7th floor and it wasn’t as loud but we could still hear people talking outside due to the windows facing apartment buildings behind us and bar below.

The west end of DC is a great location, with plenty of outdoor cafes and other dining options. Our room was spacious and clean.

The lack of a gym was a negative as was the hotel's website reference to Equinox Health Club and inference that guests could avail themselves of their facilities, which turned out not to be the case. The lack of hotel parking added $35.00 a day to our stay.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Big room, lots of desk space and plugs.

The free breakfast was low quality - I went straight out and bought breakfast
