Bird Rock Hotel

The room was clean.

When booking I didn’t select a room with a detached bathroom but was somehow given that type of room. I was very uncomfortable with this. I then called and was informed by the hotel property staff that I could purchase another room for more money. I explained to her that I selected the room with the bathroom while booking and was given a price for a room with a bathroom. She responded by saying that the property may not have the correct room description on booking.com. This should not be the guests issue and should be fixed on the site immediately.

The hotel itself was the cutest thing ever! It’s right in the heart of Friday Harbor. With its location being right in town, it still had a very private feel too it! It was very clean and comfortable. The bedding was very nice and we slept great!

Housekeeping was a little sporadic. The “do not disturb” signs don’t have very well on the doors, so they would fall down when trying to shut the door resulting in housekeeping walking in on us a couple times.

Quirky and quiet! We had a rooftop patio to enjoy the sun and drinks on. Location was great and right in the middle of everything to do. Shayla went above and beyond helping me make our stay special on very short notice helping me get champagne and flowers set up with less than 24hrs notice!!

Not having anyone at the front desk took a little adjusting to, but all in all the check in/out experience was simple and fast.

The jacuzzi and the bed were very nice. We enjoyed having champagne glasses in the lobby to use for our sparkling apple cider we drank to toast for our anniversary. Even though we never physically seen any employees of the facility, the people I texted with questions were very friendly. Also, liked the lighted remote ceiling fan. Liked having the binders of the restaurant menus so we could plan ahead of what we wanted. Some of them need to be updated.

Bigger hot water heater to heat the water in the jacuzzi longer to fill it up before it turns to cold water. The water wasn't at it's highest level in jacuzzi before it turned cold. Also, they need "C" dowel holder for shower curtain rod because it kept falling down. The first time it hit my husband on his head, but the second time he caught it. After the second time, we left it out until we were done in the jacuzzi. He adjusted it to be a little tighter. The TV could have been a little bigger for the price of the room.

we had the suite, had our own court yard for playing cards and having coffee. room was very clean and exteremly spacious, not missing anything. Soaps and lotions were great, nothing was left out, cozy robes and wine openers! location was epic

wish there was a view of harbor but it is what it is. Had a courtyard that was nice

very accommodating, close to everything, walking distance, all the comforts and amenities you could need, excellent bath products from local lavender farm maker (Pelindaba), friendly and communicative staff, answered all questions with details. we didn’t need much guidance as we kind of self-toured the area, but they made sure we knew they were available. the Marrowstone suite in particular was awesome with the fireplace and private hot tub. amazing experience overall!

The hotel was immaculate. Very good location, just a short walk from the ferry terminal. Our room had a huge 2 person jet tub. And a dent sized balcony with chairs.

The only issue I had with this hotel is that we were walk on passengers on the ferry, so we had no where to store our belongings while waiting for our strict 4:00pm check in time. So you’re either stuck carrying it around or if you contact them ahead of time they will adjust your pass code to let you into the lobby only where you can leave your belongings unattended because there is no staff there. Another thing that was hard was a 10:00 am check out, where again if you wanted to spend your day doing things around town before you get back on the ferry you are faced with toting around your luggage. Most hotels give at least until 11 or 12 for checkout.

I really enjoyed the location of Birdrock Hotel. I walked off the ferry and was there in less than 5 minutes. Restaurants and shops were easily accessible and the decor and atmosphere were very inviting. I loved my room and at night opened the window for that cool sea breeze that I don’t have in Arizona. Access to the hotel was remote but directions that were sent were easy to follow. I would highly recommend this hotel and I hope to return one day.

My room was on the 3rd floor which I did not mind but it might be a hindrance for others.

I did not realize it was a shared bathroom from the booking. If you dont do the online check in, the check in is at another hotel. But this is obly 2 Blocks away, so not to bad either.

I loved this hotel! It was clean, comfortable and felt very cozy and quaint. The location is right in the middle of the downtown area so we could walk to just about everything. It was clean and the lobby area was well stocked with towels and other room essentials for us to grab if we needed more.
