Heathman Lodge

I love their rooms. I get a room with a King-sized bed every time. The hallways have nature sounds and it's relaxing and beautiful. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. They were able to shred some documents for me and direct me to the closest hair salon.

I always get the feeling that they just hate having to work with booking.com, which is awkward for the guest. Also, they've started charging an extra $10 per day for parking. When I said I didn't have a car and would like to not be charged for parking, I was told that it was really for everything they do, like the coffee at the front desk, etc. It was waived this time but I was told it was a one-time-only courtesy because it was listed only as parking on booking.com.

For starters.. I stay in more hotels than most people...so I've become much more critical of them. The entire hotel has been well maintained and kept up with...pleasant surprise these days.. All staff was very helpful The hotel is nothing extraordinary but certainly a good choice for those who value their money and want nicer than the "average"

The only issue I had was wheeling my luggage carrier through pull open doors because they have closed off the main entryway and converted it to outdoor dining area...kinda cool but leaves you wanting an automatic door or push-in door as you check in. The rooms deck is in need of a good sweeping...but the trees were dropping cotton during my stay.

Very close to the office I was working at for the day. Cool design, looks like a log cabin. Onsite restaurant and bar. Staff was very friendly, helpful and professional.

When I first turned on my TV the volume was set at around 50 and was extremely loud. I turned it down and it was a normal volume. At around 11 pm at night the volume suddenly turned off and no matter what I tried would not turn back on. I think this is why the volume was so loud when I first turned it on. It was not much of an inconvenience as I was going to bed soon but I like to watch TV when I wake up and couldn't so this was a bit of a bummer.

Great restaurant. Large and welcoming lobby. The rooms had their own private balcony’s. There was a bathroom with a huge mirror, sink, toilet and huge shower. And there was a vanity area with another huge mirror and sink. And then there were another full body mirror in the room as well as yet another mirror which was so handy to have so many options. There was a microwave, good sized mini fridge, Kuerige coffee maker, and tons of lamps/ lights options. We had a dog friendly room and it was huge (with very high ceilings) which was awesome so the dogs had some room to walk around and it didn’t feel cramped.

We were in Vancouver for a 3-day / 2-night wrestling tournament and our son’s school had booked 15 rooms for the team at this hotel, so we booked our room there as well separately. When we were all checking in, our single reservation was in the system but the hotel had mysteriously canceled all of the 15 rooms in the group reservation for the team without any notice. They had given the rooms to another team so we ended up scrambling and calling around to find another hotel that had 15 rooms available for 2 nights. Thankfully the Best Western came to the rescue with enough available rooms, but Heathman Lodge really left the team in a bind when they cancelled the reservation even though the coach had a confirmation.

We have stayed here many times so obviously like it. But here's some things that could be improved:. 1) room to room the care of the rooms isn't consistent, sometimes Kleenex box is empty, sometime lamp is crooked, only sometime there is a wall cosmetic mirror, etc and all of the time the walls and woodwork look very beat up. Maybe take down wallpaper and paint so it could be touched up often. And why not restain and varnish the front door and woodwork? Will make things look a thousand times nicer. Elevator floors are really dirty looking too! Hope you can continue to keep this place up! We like everything else about it. Please send this to the Heathman.

I love that they have been able to accommodate us checking in early. The beds are amazing, and the location is perfect. It is close to everything and easy access to the freeway

This is my 2nd time staying here but not my last as this will be my hotel of choice. However, the room we got was right near the main lobby. It was loud! We can sleep through anything but if I would have known that the doors did not keep out sound I would have asked to be moved. However, I don't like to complain unless it is really bad. Since we were there for only one night it was OK.

I would’ve preferred a free breakfast. I liked that I was not charged to use the washer and dryer. I liked that when I made a request or some thing my request was met. I didn’t like that it was fairly quiet.

I think it would’ve been easier if someone would’ve handed me a brochure or pamphlet, that explained where everything was and how it worked. I did not like the idea that I did not have movie stations.

Free gourmet coffee but no free breakfast. Hotel restaurant is higher end and, while the food smells wafting from the kitchen made our mouths water, menu prices were too far over our budget for this trip.

We were a little surprised when we were informed that the room would not be made up on the second day of our stay, although fresh linen would be available on request. With the price of the room this policy seemed a bit chintzy.

This hotel was exceptional, from the price to the staff to the little birds chirping in the hallways leading to your room. Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. The bed was amazing and the room was so clean.

I would have given it a 10 but one thing that caused many problems was the flooding in the parking spaces. My wife stepped in at least ankle high water and soaked her only tennis shoes she had brought. There was no way around it. I also recommend some sort of coverage so people can unload without getting soaked, it is Washington and it rained hard, other then this it was wonderful and friendly staff all 3 days.

Moved to a different room on second night which was awesome! Ate all meals at Hudsons and was not disappointed. Had a special Christmas lunch with family which was amazing and the staff treated us like family.

First evening - a Saturday - we must have been the last to check-in because our room was NOT as we expected. No carpeting - cement floor. Not what we expected. Requested we be moved but hotel was full. However, they did move us the next afternoon to a much nicer room on an upper floor which met all expectations.
