Hoi An Pho Library Hotel

Excellent location in quiet street on the edge of the Old Town. Lovely friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We intended to stay 4/5 days but ended up staying 9 because we felt so comfortable.

This did not apply to us because we booked a room with a window and balcony but make sure you know which rooms you booked. Some don't have windows. Ours did have and were beautiful.

Very helpful staff member on reception who was able to assist with printing our Laos visas and booking a tour at short notice. His colleague was also super friendly! – Rooftop pool to relax in after a day of shopping and sightseeing – Spacious room with a handy bench to store a suitcase – Good-sized bathroom with soap, shampoo and toothpaste, and a large enclosed shower – Ten-minute walk to the river / old town

Breakfast was provided (and the cook was very friendly) but the options were limited. The breakfast room was also hot and could have benefitted from another fan – There is bottled water in the room but it costs extra – Shower was a bit slow to drain but wasn’t a big problem

Warm and welcoming staff, so incredibly helpful. Powerful aircon - so good to come in to after being out in the heat. Ideal location. No more than a ten minute walk from anywhere I wanted to visit. A two minute walk from a spa called Ruby - I had a really great treatment there and it was so nice to be close to the hotel afterwards. Excellent value for money.

A few minor things could be fixed up or repaired in the bedroom/bathroom. If you’re fussy, probably best to pay more and choose somewhere else. The sockets looked like they would take European or American plugs but in the room I was in they only took the European one.

the staff were so kind! they were really keen to help. they gave us lots of information about tours! they were so friendly and accommodating! they were really easy to speak to and replied to messages really fast. they provided hair dryers. there was always someone at the front desk they gave us a bottle of water in a glass container on the first day. they gave us the best lemon juice I ever had when we arrived. the breakfast was delicious and vast! they cooked pancakes, eggs and noodles fresh for you. the coffee was nice and there was lemon juice and herbal tea! the hotel was quiet and we rested really well! the beds were comfy and there was lots of storage space! the provided dressing gowns! the rooms were big and bathroom was nice! the hotel was central and couldn’t be in a better location!

the only less good thing was that there was no shade by the pool. also I’m not all of the rooms there is a ‘please clean my room’ sign so on the first day our room was not clean.

Comfortable stay in a great location. Lots of tours and activities available to book from reception. The books in the room are a lovely touch. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

I would have given a higher rating, but I used the hotel laundry service and a number of items were damaged & could not actually be worn again. I was told that the lady who does the laundry said that they were like that when she received them, which they obviously were not. Reception staff were very professional and did not charge me the laundry fee, but I was still at the loss of some of my clothes

The location is great. Very close to the cute streets of Hoi An en the night market. But situated in a quite street, therefore no street noises! The swimming pool is amazing to relax and enjoy a swim. The pool is very clean.

The room was not so clean unfortunately. You could really see that the sink and the shelf above was not cleaned at all and the floor of the bathroom was also not cleaned. We used our flipflops in the shower. Luckily the swimming pool and location of the hotel still made our stay worth it!

Travelling with the family with two under 12s the pool was a godsend! Great to escape the heat of the town by relaxing by the pool…. Great location, step out the front and stroll 10-15mins to the ancient town. Breakfast was fantastic.. fresh fruit, eggs, noodles, toast and cereal. The staff are extremely friendly and willing to help with tours etc

Not much we didn’t like, the only thing we thought of was the loungers by the pool need replacing. Maybe pool towels available, and a few pool toys for the kids as we noticed mostly families were staying here.

We had an excellent stay at Vinh Hung Library Hotel. Our room was very well appointed and had a small balcony where we could sit and watch the hustle and bustle of the street below. The bed was super comfortable and everything worked beautifully. What really stands out at Vinh Hung Library Hotel is the staff - they are just brilliant! They assisted us with so many things, including a medical issue we had while we stayed there. They couldn't have been more helpful, kind and pro-active. If/when we return to Hoi An the Vinh Hung Library Hotel will definitely be the place we stay. Highly recommended. A great big thank you to all the staff!

As many others reviewed, this place is stated 2-star but we received 3-star standard value. Room was spacey, cozy, adorably decorated and equipped with a huge comfortable bed. There is a swimming pool on the top floor. Breakfast was simple overall but tasty and quality. The location is perfect. The hotel is in a nice, quiet neighbourhood but only takes 5-10’ walk to the ancient town. All the staff at the hotel were super friendly and supportive especially the manager, Them and Hen. They would be willing to support booking all the tours, activities, motorbikes/bicycles rental (highly recommended when in Hoi An) and transportations at a reasonable price. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. I would definitely come back and recommend to my friends. :))

There is no lift/elevator but the staff would be willing to carry your bags to the room. If you have problem with your knees, ask for the room on the ground floor.

Probably the best accommodation so far on our trip. Cool, clean rooms and really helpful staff. Good breakfast, comfy beds. Quiet but literally round the corner from all the places you would want to see. Happy to organise airport/train transfers, bike hire (30,000 VD per day), cheap and quick laundry all folded beautifully!

One of our rooms had a slight smell about it. We didn’t ask to change and it wasn’t really an issue. I’m sure the staff would have helped if we had said something.
