Quality Hotel Canterbury International

Beds so comfy, it had a gym and a pool. It was quiet and presentation in reception and communal areas were impressive. Staff were pleasant but not overly friendly. We did really enjoy our stay just a few thing could have made it better.

Our shower needs to be regrouted, staff could have been more happy and upbeat. Rooms when made up weren't restocked with soap, we had no milk for in room coffees. There is no microwave or toaster this would be helpful for families. Pool was cold. Breakfast was just toast or cereal on public holidays, then the cooked breakfast was pretty cold even when we arrived at opening time.

Location was excellent close to family. Bed was comfy as were the chairs. Nice big shower and bathroom facilities were good. Don't know if rooms are soundproof but we did not hear any noise from next door at all but could hear people out in the corridor. Breakfast was adequate.

The air conditioner was not working properly, hardly any cool air coming out at all and it was very warm in the room. Had trouble going to sleep as we had to have the aircon up high just to feel anything and it was noisy and old. Had to set the temperature at 16 degrees and it was still not cold air. When we were checking out I told the lady at reception about the problem with the air conditioner so hopefully it will be checked. In the middle of Summer it is not good to have to stay in a warm room in a hotel!

The fancy old-fashioned style of the hotel is well kept and presented nice and neatly. Good quality & value for the price; clean and tidy hotel and room & bathroom; location was convenient; parking was readily available; breakfast was satisfactory, on the basic side, which I expected for the price. Although the room faced the highway I was surprised that I didn’t hear the traffic as loud as I’d expected & it was quite muted.

The room had a single narrow window so the room didn’t get much natural light. Not a big deal, as I had the lights on to brighten the room.

Excellent locations for what we needed, very central to everything and Forrest Hill chase only just down the road. Even though the hotel is On the corner of 2 very busy roads, you wouldn't be able to tell as the rooms are sound proofed well. Couldn't hear any other guests, which was great. Beds super comfy, we stayed 2 nights and housekeeping came and made our beds and gave us fresh towel while we were out for our middle day. Super nice. Staff were extra friendly. Breakfast was good, nothing special (no hot food). Hotel is beautiful and great value for your money.

Could use some hot breakfast options-bacon and eggs or some pastries, Other than this, we really enjoyed our stay and will probably be back!

Very comfortable,especially mattress & pillows. Excellent size room for family. Large bathroom with spa & separate shower good water pressure. Powerful heater that warmed up our room quickly. Large bath towels.

Man at reception,there just doing a job.Not that friendly.We had to ask about breakfast.No wifi information given! Detail to cleaning.We had to rewash 3 glasses & cups before using as they were greasy & stained from the previous use. Hair on bathroom floor(not ours). Hair in jet of spa (not ours). Mini fridge needed to be wiped clean,done by us. All these things were fixable but could have been noted by the cleaners. Just a continental breakfast,no cooked breakfast (not mentioned in booking .com).

Hotel is old school glamour and the facilities are great. Parking is very easy and there are several restaurant options within walking distance aside from the one in the hotel. Bathroom was roomy and had a lovely waterfall shower. Hotel breakfast was pretty good for being included in the price ($12 extra if not). 24 hour reception was helpful and we felt safe despite being on a busy road.

Located on a fairly busy road which may not suit light sleepers. Not much information about the hotel facilities provided in the room or online (time for breakfast, location and use of pool etc.). Not much public transport around, so would be difficult without a car. Mattress was not the comfiest, but not terrible.

Staff were courteous, helpful & professional. Rooms were spacious, neat & clean. Great spa in the bathroom. Good access to parking. The location was perfect to drive into the city and to walk to the local shopping centre. Very reasonable price for our room. We did very much enjoy our buffet breakfast, which was included. Nice and quiet stay.

Would have been perfect if the restaurant facilities were open, but understandable if not fully booked to cover staff overheads & other costs.

Location for us was great, very comfortable furnishings, very clean, staff very healthful, although located at busy intersection the noise level was acceptable. Breakfast in the deal was wonderful and the restaurant has a great decor & outlook.

Being located at the front of the building the noise was quite noticeable from the young adults hanging out across the road from about 7:30pm with their “hotrod” type use of vehicles until restaurant closing time of 9:30pm. We thought this strange as it was a Tuesday night?

The included breakfast was basic but ample. The quietness of the complex. The deluxe marble fitted bathroom up to my standards and the classic decor exquisite, both in furnishings and decoration.

The absence of reception staff on arrival. We had to find someone and we think it was the only person on staff at the time about 6 pm The interaction with staff was always initiated by myself as there seemed to be an absence of smile and greetings on entry when someone was at the desk. Recognition of one’s entry and Basic good morning or arvo, how was your day? would be good

Best sleep I’ve had in a long time. Beds and pillows were amazing! Very clean and close to big shopping centre

Breakfast was okay for a continental however hot food has room for improvement. Eggs felt like powder and sausages like plastic. Mushrooms on the other hand were really good! And service impeccable
