Eastern Sands City Centre

1. Great Location. 2. Very comfortable beds. 3. Good view out through the room windows (Room 17).

1. One window in Room 17 did not have a fly-screen on it. As a consequence, a large Huntsman spider was able to get into the room as the window was partially open. The spider was located on the ceiling, and I had to ask the cleaning staff to get rid of it. I suggest that staff place a fly-screen over that particular window to prevent a repeat occurrence.

My Son and his mate stayed due to the Ironman event and said they thoroughly enjoyed the stay. My son mentioned he did not checkout until after the event which is amazing they were able to do so and greatly appreciated. Also they were able to leave the car at the property all day whilst competing. Prior to the event the property were in touch with us to ensure everything was ok with the booking and provided an very friendly and caring experience. Outstanding customer service which you don't see enough off and is greatly appreciated

Fabulous location! Easy walking distance to Eastern beach, restaurants, shopping and attractions. Friendly manager. Rooms were clean. Located next door to the Malt Tap-house and bottle shop, and has an Indian restaurant onsite. Cafes all around and right near beautiful Eastern Beach and superb Botanical Gardens.

Reception not staffed on arrival or departure. Manager did come when we rang the bell on arrival. We placed key under door when checking out. Was very noisy when staff where unlocking a gate near our room to put bins out. Once we realised what the noise was, it was fine ( we thought someone was trying to get into our room) This is an older motel, not as modern as some around. Inside rooms were clean, but outside windows and parking area could do with a clean.

Great view of the bay, yachts & ferris wheel! This inner city hotel is so convenient being approximately 200 m from the Royal Geelong Yacht Club & Eastern Beach. Only 200 m from the main shopping centre plus free on site car parking. On-site Indian restaurant. Very helpful and friendly staff.

I stayed for 6 nights and I found the motel was reasonably priced. The proximity to the hospital, shopping, laundromat and foreshore was very convenient and the managerial and cleaning staff were very obliging and helpful.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The room was well presented and centrally located. Walking distance to Uni, Westfield and food venues/restaurants.

A window had bird poo all on the outside. Probably would have been better if they had the blind closed and I wouldn’t have seen it.

I have been staying at Eastern Sands twice a week for 6 months and the rooms, proximity and staff have been brilliant. My last booking I was running late and reception couldn't do enough to be at the desk and available upon my arrival.

Some of the rooms could do with carpet cleaning and a little more attention to surfaces. Door handles and light switches particularly.

The place is near to the places that we wanted to visit. Very accessible and the owner was very kind and accommodating. There is a parking area which is great for us. The room was very clean and had the necessary amenities we needed for our stay. It was a good value for money.

The cabinet where the TV was put on was not sturdy enough and it swayed when I tried to open the door. The TV reception was not good but it didn’t really matter because we were out most of the time.

Great value for money, simple, comfortable and very clean. I had a great view of the ferris wheel on the bay which I loved! Staff were very friendly and the location was spot on, literally a 2 minute walk to the two plaza's.

Loved the location near the ferris wheel and water. I cannot remember the last time I slept so well. The beds were very comfortable and exceeded my expectation of comfort. Indian restaurant right next door with a great menu. Otherwise a very easy walk up the hill to the main street and all it has to offer. The perfect hybrid location between sea and main street facilities. Great car area for off-street parking too. And cleaners are incredibly respectful of your privacy sign. All up, perfect stay.
