Portarlington Beach Motel

Staff and owner were fabulous right from our booking. Service was excellent. Rooms were spacious and clean. Kitchens were well stocked. Parking was onsite. Pool was beautiful. Pool area provided shade, tables and a bbq. Pub and stores were a short walk, as was the beach. Highly recommend!

Nothing could have been better. We loved it, and will return.

Highly recommend Portarlington Beach Motel for value for money. Though it is an older place, it seemed freshened up. Bright doona covers made a good first impression. Room was well-arranged with an L-shape for queen bed and a single, and a garden table with 2 chairs outside. All the basics were provided in the kitchen - cutlery, plates, crockery, microwave, bar fridge - as well as coffee sachets, tea bags (only black no green), sugar and small milk packets. In the bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, tissues and hairdryer. All that you would normally expect. Bed was comfortable. The pool is solar heated with plenty of tables and chairs around it. Unfortunately the motel couldn't provide us with hot weather! Regardless, we had a dip in the pool which was lovely, just not as long as it would have been on a hot afternoon. Wi-fi worked well. Maps and local info provided. Bill and Helen are friendly and helpful. ps Good atmosphere and food at Saints and Sailors, best to book your table.

The parking spaces are a tight fit, okay with compact car, and people with SUVs managed too.

It was close to the centre of town and the beach was a short walk away. Room was a good size, few spots to sit - counter bar, dinner table and relax chairs. Bar fridge had a bigger than normal freezer, helpful when it's hot with kids. Wifi was very strong.

Not much we didn't like. Nit picking, the individual bars of soap weren't great. Car park was tight when full as it is on the smaller size.

The room was clean, staff had already turned on heater before I got there. The bed was so comfy and warm, I had no trouble going to sleep. The WiFi speed was excellent. Parking was at the door which was great. The shower was unbelievable.

Was too cold to use the pool, unfortunately the pool was not heated

Friendly staff, super clean facilities and okay location. Overall pleasant stay.

Needs maintenance. Room 7 may have a leak in the bathroom as the carpet was very wet at the entry. Light switch and bulbs in main area need attention. We left too early to be able to advise staff of these issues.

My partner and I arrived late and checked out early so besides the room we didn’t explore much of the property. Although it was evident the property had some age to it, the room did not reflect that way. The room was clean, did not look or feel run down. The room was big enough for a young family. The beds were comfortable and had what appeared to be newish linen and bed covers. Bathroom was decent size and maintained. We would definitely stay there again and explore the area a bit more.

Excellent staff. Great location. Rooms were large and serviced well and were exceptionally clean.

Hair dryer on wall was showing it’s age. Some taps leaked whilst in use. We stayed New Year’s Eve and it wasn’t great value.

LOCATION WAS OUR MAIN PRIORITY WHICH WORKED JUST FINE THE OWNER WAS ALSO VERY HELPFUL TO OUR NEEDS

FOR THE STANDARD OF ACCOMODATION IT WAS A BIT OVERPRICED ,BUT SEE-ING THERE WAS A CELTIC FESTIVAL ON ,THEY COULD ASK A BIT MORE FOR THE ROOMS I GUESS. ALSO THE ANTS DID PROVE ANNOYING

I really enjoyed our stay here, the owner was charming and the room was spotlessly clean!, it was quiet during the night and very peaceful.

Everyone's comfort level is different, a mattress topper could be a worthy addition, and the only problem we encountered was the noise the air conditioner made.. (if it was a hot summers night this could be a problem) yet it was still quite comfortable without it on.

I travelled to Port Arlington for a wedding and this motel was chosen for us to stay at, it was close to Jack Rabbit, the rooms were a great size & were clean, the beds weren't the most comfortable but after a wedding it didn't really matter too much.
