Parkside Motel Geelong

No issues from the check-in. Very comfortable stay and the owners were very helpful, greatly appreciated. Very comfortable stay. Quiet room and comfortable. Love the shower head, you get a good shower. Extended my stay by two nights. Very happy with the facilities and conveniently located. I would definitely stay here again when I am in Geelong.

No need to write anything here as prompted by this question. I have really enjoyed my stay and it exceeded my expectations. Very friendly and helpful hosts. I will stay here next time I am in Geelong. Great value for money. I had looked at the reviews before booking, some negative ones but they seemed unrealistic and unreasonable with their expectations.

The rooms are very spacious and the King Bed was comfortable. Spare pillows and blanket in the cupboard. Plenty of parking and I love that there's a 24hr Coles across the road. Easy walk up High Street for plenty of other food options and a short walk to the Barwon river, which has great trails along both sides.

The Tap on the sink in the bathroom wasn't attached at all, simply resting on the basin. When you lifted the 'mixer' for water to flow, you lifted the tap out of the basin. An easy fix for a handyman and something that the cleaners should have seen and communicated. Likewise, the 'Rainfall' shower head over the spa bath leaked badly and needs to be replaced. When you put the water on, the water pressure separates the head and a stream of water powers out the side of the shower head, back toward the walls. Again, a new head could be purchased and screwed on to the pipe coming from the roof. The toilet seat was loose too, making it slide when you sit down. These things were frustrating, as they're an easy fix and are actually quite dangerous for an older person or couple.

Owner was warm and welcoming. Parking was great. Room was lovely and comfortable. Plenty of shops and dinner options very close. Good value. Lots of spare pillows and bedding to choose from. Everything we needed for a comfortable nights stay.

Unfortunately we found the beds uncomfortable. Bottom sheet didn't tuck right in so it crumpled and gathered when we tossed and turned. Not enough room on the window side of the bed. Also had an issue with the shower. It needs to be sealed better around the door. Too much water over the floor after the children's showers.

Motel was easy to find, reception staff was amazing and very helpful. Plenty of parking. Easy to get to our room. We got a family room which was huge, clean, comfy beds, we even got a fold out bed for our son and omg the comfiest fold out bed I’ve ever been on!! Bathroom was nice and big and can I say the shower was the best shower I’ve experienced at a motel/hotel. The pool was nice and spacious and plenty of seats outside. Even toilet near the car park which was handy. Location was excellent being across the road from Kmart, coles and maccas and plenty of pubs around too. Thank you once again and we will be back for sure!

Very nice room, clean, comfortable. The bed was great after a long drive in the car from Sydney. Appeared recently refurbished and they have done a good job. Bathroom nicely appointed, with a great shower. Wish I had that water pressure at home!

Only nit-picking as these were definitely not deal breakers. Not much in the way of extras, only tea and coffee, the usual bar fridge (with plenty of little milks), mugs would have been nice, only a miss-matched pair of cups. View from the room was into the neighbours backyard, might have been better on the other side.

The room exceeded our expectations. Usually you get a small cramped room that you can just fit the beds in, this room had a kitchen and dining area, totally unexpected. Updated massive bathroom, was lovely and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were amazing, even rang us when we left something behind. Usually things just get thrown out if you leave something behind, so for that we were very thankful!

The room and bathroom were really nice, modern and very clean. Very comfortable room and bed. Nice huge windows with great blockout curtains. The building and surrounds itself was kept very neat and clean too. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

My view was the opposite side to the park, so it wasn't as pretty as the pictures so if I was to stay longer than a night I would ask if there is a room available on the other side. However, this didn't put a damper on my stay at all, it was great just having a huge window to look out from.

The rooms were recently renovated therefore very new and clean inside. The rooms were very spacious and had plenty of room to comfortably sleep 5 people and all their belongings. The location was great, just being a short drive into the centre of Geelong with a supermarket right over the road. There were plenty of parking spaces in the hotel, meaning we never had to worry about taking our cars out for the day and searching for a car park on our way back.

The outside of the property was a little dated and hadn’t been renovated with the inside of the rooms.

Clean, spacious room for a family of 5, friendly staff, hassle free check-in/out. Comfortable beds, a little soft for my liking, quality pillows if a little high profile for myself and the kids, hubby was very happy with both. Supermarket and takeaway within walking distance. Cheaper than other comparable rooms in the area.

Very minor issues with the room, loose rail in the fridge so couldn't store bottles in the door, wobbly table, free to air TV only. Overall good value, very clean and comfortable.

Check in was easy and the gentleman at reception was just lovely. We booked the family room and it was a beautiful room. The floor to ceiling windows looked out on the park and it was stunning. The bathroom was modern, clean and functional. The room itself was unexpectedly spacious. It was perfectly located directly across the street from a shopping centre and a 5 minute walk from McDonalds which is convenient for the "I don't care" food orders. Even though it was a busy street we didn't notice at all. I would absolutely stay there again.

Having only stayed 1 night its hard find a dislike but if I had to choose something maybe a tidy up of the onsite parking that had some potholes but that is being really picky.
