La Cave de l'Avenue de champagne

Superb location, friendly staff. Secure and parking parking was excellent. Room with good coffee in. Breakfast was well presented and well served. Local restaurant La Banque is exceptional.

Only thing is having to be there before 3pm to check in, otherwise you can't until 6,30pm.

Location was excellent - actually on the avenue - as was character. It was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. We also ate one night at the restaurant, which was a very pleaseant experience.

The only issue was arriving/departing with a car and trying to unload/check in/load. The instructions could have been clearer. Luckily it was a Sunday when we arrived so it was fairly quiet. The parking ultimately was excellent. I was even able to charge my car. More information about the links with Champagne A Bergere and what could be done there/with then would have ben useful.

The property couldn’t be more central, it is located on one end of Avenue de Champagne, very close to the centre, with bars, little supermarkets, shops and restaurants within walking distance and had parking facilities. It is one of those beautiful authentic buildings that have been nicely renovated and has its own restaurant and bar. The room was bright and spacious, we didn’t mind a bit of noise from the main road, bed was comfortable, nice bathroom with a bathtub. The biggest plus is that they are pet friendly, they even provided a bed, bowl and snack for our dog and the staff, particularly Jessica, was very kind and accommodating, also providing vegan options for the breakfast when we asked. The continental type of breakfast was very nice, with a variety of wonderful French bread. We would definitely return.

One of the main entrance doors making a very loud noise when shutting automatically - but this will be surely fixed.

The room was big and comfortable and had a lot of charm. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and had a great selection of wines. The location can't be any better. Next door is the Tourist office, and opposite is Moët & Chandon.

We were busy driving and didn't read the messages we received during the day about the reception being closed until 18. We arrived at 17, and arrived as the same time as a package delivery guy. The receptionist opened the door for the delivery guy, and we explained that we had a reservation and asked if we could get the room. The receptionist said no because he didn't have access to the key, and we had to come back one hour later, just to find the exactly same guy behind the counter. So it was a no just for the sake of a no, which was pretty annoying.

Staff was amazingly friendly and accommodating. Apartment is quite large for Europe in a perfect location within walking distance to champagne tasting. Breakfast is included and delicious! Dinner is "small" plates, but - NOT - as they are large portions to be shared. Large full kitchen and dining area. Views are amazing!

Apartment is on the 3rd floor (many steps to climb) and was not very well stocked. There was coffee, sugar, and powder cream. Not enough dinnerware for full accommodation. We had forgotten that in Europe, the 2nd floor is the 3rd floor. Many steps to climb! The elevator (if it is working) only goes to the 2nd floor.

A Fabulous location in the centre of Epernay. We had a beautiful large room which was at the back of the house situated on the first floor, accessible by a lift. Spotlessly clean. Great bathroom with a walk in shower. Breakfast was ok with the usual selection of cereals, bread, yogurt etc on offer.

A little tricky to find, to gain access and to drop off luggage as it is situated on the busy Avenue d’Champagne. Parking is at a champagne house further up the avenue- approximately 5-10 minute walk away!

Spacious, well equipped, comfortable apartment in excellent location.

When we checked out the lovely young lady who checked us in and out said we could do a tasting at the Andre Bergère hotel, the sister property, until 12:00. When we arrived it was 11:20 and the rude, surly, young woman there told us we couldn’t, we could only buy glasses of champagne. When we remonstrated that we had been staying in the apartment and been told it was fine for a tasting until 12:00 she was even ruder so we left, deciding we wouldn’t want to buy champagne at a cave with such a poor attitude.

Perfect location at the top (or bottom?) of Avenue de Champagne in Epernay. Close to pretty much everything you might want to do in town. It's not a huge chain hotel, and doesn't have a large number of rooms. We had two rooms, on separate floors, which suited us fine. The rooms were large enough for two persons with (small) suitcases. Clean and comfy. One room had a safe, the other didn't, not sure if this was a coincidence, but I'm sure it could be discussed with the staff if needed. Wasn't an issue for us. We had dinner in the evening. Mainly a tapas-based menu, which was perfectly fine. The portions were large and filling, and went well with a bottle of Champagne. Breakfast was good. Very bread-based, but with high quality bread. Not a huge selection as in larger resort hotels, but what they had was high quality, and definitely enough to fill anyone up, and there was something for everyone. The staff was friendly and efficient. We were called on the day of arrival. There is a gap in the afternoon when the reception isn't staffed. We weren't aware of this, but since they called and informed us we could plan accordingly. It's understandable, since it's a small establishment. The hotel has a collaboration with a Champagne house down the road - A. Bergere - definitely worth a visit as well. Definitely recommended for a few days' stay in Epernay.

Our first impression was poor as there was no one to great us and the Hotel was locked. The infromation center is next door (a Plus) and the woman told us that it happens all the time. We were able to finally cont the hotel and wre received nicely. They do have parking, another plus, but it is a 5 minute walk. Would be good to let the guest know the code so you could park first as there is no where to park to bring in the luggage. Breakfast was good The loction is perfect to see all the Champange houses

Reception when arriving need to be clearer to the guest so they can park and have access on arrival. There was some confusioneven though we had email the time of our arrival. Would be nice if they had more informtion on visiting houses or vineyards, but the tourist office is right next door.

Great location and a really comfortable apartment. We were not driving and wanted somewhere that we could enjoy tasting champagnes and relax. This was the perfect location, with the tasting room and shop for independent vignerons a short walk away. The apartment is owned by a family champagne house and their champagnes could also be enjoyed in their bar restaurant which has a lovely tranquil garden. The apartment has a great view of the Epernay Balon and nearby vineyards. We enjoyed sipping champagne and looking out across the vines!

It wasn't a problem for us but the apartment is on the 3rd floor and the lift only goes to the second so there are some stairs. One of our hosts kindly carried our very heavy bags up the stairs. I was travelling with my elderly mother and she found the stairs very easy but those with mobility issues should be aware of this.
