Oh! Cancun - The Urban Oasis

Our stay was very brief as it was our last night in Cancun and we didn’t check in until late due to traffic on the way to the hotel. We did manage to enjoy the pool & hot tub before the Pool closed at 8pm. The room was large very luxurious compared to other b&b we was staying during our trip. However I still noticed the room did need refurbishing. The breakfast was very good, lots of selection for someone who doesn’t eat dairy in my opinion.

The free WiFi is only limited to 1 device per room? If you wanted add more you would need to pay. Which I found strange considering this type of hotel. The other thing was the check out times on my reservation it stated between 12-13pm.. however we was told 12pm.. we tried twice to have it extended and was refused.. Not sure if this is glitch with Booking.com. This should be removed from the reservation process if this is not the case.

Nice rooms, staff are nice, breakfast is pretty complete and the pool is so beautiful with great tanning beds. It has a central location if you want a break from the busy resorts by the beach.

We went in December so it was clearly high season and they were not expecting it, many of the restaurants were closed by the pool and they had a DJ deck that they were not using. They also ran out of the water they put in the rooms during our stay.

Everything, service, room size, great mattress, fantastic garden and pool area was luxurious and gym well equipped. Food was good but we had a breakfast included package. Buffet style but with salads, fruit, juices, coffee, tea, cereals, muffins, chocolate croissants, bread, eggs, retried beans, porridge, waffles and french toast. Produce was fresh. We did not eat in the Orel restaurant for dinner or supper. Perfect location, close (5- 20 mins) to some great restaurants on Copan, Bonapark, and Nader. Plaza Los Americas and Cinéoplolis 10 minute walk, great mall with a Chedraui and food court Hotel Zones and beaches, restaurants, 2 large malls are a ten minute bus ride away. You can catch a bus for 12 pesos 2 minutes from hotel. Puerto Cancun Marina is a 25 minute walk or 80-100 pesos for taxi. Here great restaurants another Cinéopolis and views as well as great shopping. Finally Puerto Juarez and the ferry to Isla Mujeres about a ten minute ride away. Best way to get there is in a cab for about 100 pesos.

we stayed at the urban oasis for 7 nights whilst we travelled around cancun. I didn’t have high expectations based on the price we paid but was really happy we stayed here in the end the pool was nice and we could always get a cabana at any time of the day. the bar is cheap to drink at and the room was also really comfortable the staff were excellent couple of points, breakfast was basic and food in general was ok but we ate out most of time as this is not an all inclusive. our toilet had a very minor leak but other than that the stay was really good, great for somewhere to stay if you are planning to use it just to sleep and maybe a few hours by the pool during down time.

Definetevly location & very friendly stuff! Rooms are big, matlas is super comfortable 👍. There is cofe machine in the room👌👌👌

Maestro is not accepted, even though nothing mentioned on terms & conditions!!! Would be great to improve cleaning on check in!!! Add frigo bar options, even though there is shop in front botle of water or beer is good to have just in case!!

The value for the money we spent was well worth it. Without a doubt a good hotel in the downtown area. The room was clean, the housekeeping staff is vey professional. The room was tidy every time we came back to the room. AC worked very well. Pool area looked nice though we didn’t use it, pool was very clean. I think a big plus was the parking available to the hotel guests, it’s private and has security. This hotel was the best hotel we could’ve stayed at for a visit. We will be back soon enough

The bed was a bit too stiff for our liking. Oh and when they say 3pm check in they mean it.

Hotel was in a excellent location in the CITY ( not the Hotel Zone - which I consider an advantage by the way as the hotel zone is overrated IMHO), Hotel has a nice, well looked after pool area with plenty of seating and lying out areas, with a well stocked pool bar and attentive friendly service staff throughout the hotel. The breakfast was good, the housekeeping staff quiet and efficient in cleaning the rooms to a high standard every day. The hotel is also ideally located if you wish to catch the 12 peso bus to the hotel zone or free public beaches )personally I'd give the taxis outside a miss as just no need for them) There's also a supermarket two minutes away from the hotel too should you need it. The hotel also seems to be used as a main pack up drop off point for many bus tour companies so again ideal if planning to go on day tours. So if you're on here searching for for a good western standard hotel in the downtown area I would happily suggest you stop searching and book here.

Ha a really silly thing - they didn't lay out cereal spoons on the table at breakfast time, so every day you had to ask for one. The fact that THIS is all I can flag up as a silly totally minor annoyance shows how pleased we were with everything else.

Lovely hotel, modern and clean with a huge pool area. I liked the location as prefer down town to hotel zone. Lots of bars within walking distance

Felt more business like than when we stayed 4 years ago. Staff had more of a personal touch last time - although perhaps we visited at a busier time of year

It was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable with daily replenish of coffee, water with a fridge. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing and it's lounge are was great for just hanging out and breakfast had lots of variety and delicious with friendly staff on hand to give assistant and coffee if required.

Gym was a bit outdated but on holiday with facilities like this not many people would use it anyway I guess and east side of hotel faces on a roadside which isn't the best view but you are in a Mexican living location which does offer culture viewing.

Clean, comfortable big size bed with balcony. Hot shower with good water pressure. Very clean pool with different depth and many poolside beds, lounging chairs, couches. Good breakfast buffet with variety of fruits, salads, hot eggs and dishes, breads. More than anything, All staffs are attentive and friendly all time. Especially, restaurant manager Ivan, Jose, Antonio, Kenia, front desk Michelle, Jaanai were super nice, professional. Can't forget the housekeeping staffs who did great job with smile. I reserved for 3 nights at the first, but I extended our stay for 12 days of the vacation. Surely will return. Good job and thank you Ivan! The location wise, I had to use taxi to beaches or hotel zone. But taxis await in front of the hotel are usually honest ones. About 10us$ to ferry terminal to Isla Mujeres or hotel zone restaurants. There are some local restaurants across the street that cheap. We don't really like busy tourest active area. So this is slow and price is right. Absolutely no complain.
