Great location. My room was very nice, with a jacuzzi bathtub (a bathtub with jets). I had a corner room and it was pretty quiet, except for one evening when there was a lot of loud music that seemed to be coming from somewhere outside but very nearby (but headphones successfully blocked it out). The staff was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was pretty good with a focus mostly on local food. The coffee at breakfast was made by the staff of the bar that is also in the hotel and it was free (unlike in many hotels in Albania). Based on a review that mentioned that the hotel caters to groups and that that can make the small breakfast area very crowded, when I checked in I asked if any groups were staying there while I was, and was told that the next group was checking in the day I left so I didn't need to worry about it (and thanks to that reviewer for the tip).

The hotel sometimes has problems with their wifi system and with their hotel-wide air conditioning system, both of which I experienced. If you find that wifi isn't working or that the air conditioning in your room doesn't seem to be working, notify the staff immediately and they will quickly fix the problem. (I made the mistake of not immediately notifying the staff when it seemed like the air conditioning might not be working properly, so please don't make the same mistake I did.)

So I was on a Gate 1 tour that ended in Tirana; this hotel was the assigned hotel for Tirana for the last 2 days of the tour. I extended my stay one extra day to allow me to take a more reasonable air flight out of Tirana. I asked the hotel via Booking to keep me in the same room for my self-booked night 3 as I had for the first two Gate 1 nights, which they did gladly via Booking's messaging service. The staff was friendly and could communicate well in English. The included breakfast was more than adequate, although not as grand as several other 5-star hotels I stayed at on the tour portion of my trip. They had a mix of cooked items as well as fruits, cereals and breads. My room on the second floor was right across from the elevator, so very convenient from that aspect. DOn't worry, the elevator was not noisy. The stairs are very walkable for the average person. Note that the area surrounding this hotel I found to safe. I was able to walk about 900m to the Luna airport shuttle on Rruga Ludovik Shllaku across from the Friendship Monument. 4 euros to or from the airport.

My room on the second floor was just above a patio area where people would go out to smoke; therefore, one could not open the windows when that was going on (I am an avid NON-smoker, and don't like being around any smoking areas including those in restaurants and bars). But this was not a huge problem as I am one who spends little time in the room except at night.

The staff was very helpful, with Admir, the manager, taking the time to give us tips for our car trip to Ksamil. Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds and enough room in the bathroom. Very close to everything in Tirana, yet located in a more quiet section of Blloku

No real point of critique, do note that the hotel is located in a densely built environment, so don't expect any spectacular views; on the other hand, that is not why you would stay in a hotel in the middle of the city.

Excellent staff, location, clean, good size comfortable room. Nice fresh breakfast, Hotel opened the restaurant a little earlier for me as I needed to leave a bit before their opening time, Staff even rounded my bill down a little as I paid in cash and did not quite have the right change. I would definitely recommend.

The electrics were a little bit of an issue dealing with trip switches, however I must say the staff responded quickly to sort issue.

We stay at Hotel Kotoni twice a year whenever we travel from U.S.A. to beautiful Albanian territories in South-East Europe. This has become our home away from home and we never entertain the idea of staying anywhere else. Why would we, when we discovered the best hotel in Tirana! The hotel is located in the hard of the city where one can easily approach all government institutions. If you are interested in going to the park by the lake it is in walking distance. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood. The Breakfast is excellent with good selection of fruit, cheese, pastries, everything one needs. Hotel offers a very good menu for business lunch and will gladly offer a dinner if you are busy to go out. Simply perfect for a business trip. They also have good internet and it is good to work in side.

Nothing is missing. The hotel offers everything you need.

It would have been nice to have a kettle, cups, and coffee/tea in the room. However, the staff was more than happy to provide whenever we asked.

Wonderful stays at this hotel. It is on a side street so it was very quiet. The staff was what stood out for me. They all could not have treated me any better. The breakfasts were amazing...so many different and unique options to choose from. The hotel is a block away from the area that is loaded with very stylish and trendy restaurants and shops. There is a quality market around the corner from the hotel. I would stay at this wonderful hotel in this wonderful city again in a heartbeat.

The location is unbeatable, the staff are welcoming and polite, the breakfast was very good with fantastic coffee and several homemade sweet specialties in addition to the expected usuals. My original room didn't have a balcony and so I requested a change and they changed quickly at no additional cost. The value for the location, comfort, and amenities was fantastic.

I wouldn't change a thing. It was a perfect boutique hotel!

Great location in the centre of the city in The Block area (blloku). It is a friendly, family run hotel with very elegant rooms throughout. The owner and staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was large with a modern en-suite bathroom and comfortable bed. The buffet style breakfast was excellent offering all kinds of cold meats, cheese, eggs, tomatoes etc. Also available were various fresh fruits, pastries, cereals and yoghurt. Wi-fi was also excellent.

We stayed for 3 nights and there was nothing we didn’t like.
