On arrival, saw the welcome note and birthday wishes for my husband, together with a bottle of wine. Very nice touch. When I put our food into the fridge also found a basic breakfast pack, with loaf of bread, milk, juices and several spreads. That was not expected either. Thank you. The cottage was very nice, roomy, A/con already on as it was a VERY hot day, and an overhead fan in the bedroom. When I read the blurb re the accommodation, it said bar fridge. I rang to check what it was and was told it was a little larger than a bar fridge. A lovely surprise it was a fridge with separate freezer. This needs to be amended in the booking.com notes. We need a freezer or freezer box inside a small fridge. It was a very quiet location, as surrounded by open land, not a lot of trees nearby, and kangaroos came to visit each day. There are other cottages, but all well spread out. Bathroom with separate toilet very spacious. There is a laundry sink, if needing to wash any clothes, and a rack to stand outside tor dry the clothes. So no washer or dryer. We didn't need this, and what we had was enough if we needed to rinse anything out. The balcony/deck is on 3 sides of the building, but because of the extreme weather, sadly too hot to sit outside. Would have loved to sit and watch the roos as they grazed. One mum had a large youngster, that kept climbing in and out of her pouch.

Nothing really, but keep and eye on the fridge, as we managed to freeze all our stuff in the main compartment. The setting was too high, so we adjusted this. Wasn't a major problem, as it was only left over food from the day before. No internet, but used our own personal hotspot.

Comfortable and clean bush style cottages. Although quite old, we felt very comfortable there. It is in an excellent location in central Hunter Valley surrounded by wineries and close to the village. We were blessed to have many kangaroos living on the property so we were able to get quite close while they were grazing daily. This property also has a small pool which was a bonus as we were visiting in summer!

Maintenance of the cottages eg. Decking and outdoor furniture broken.

I loved the Breakfast Basket; it was so good and thoughtful, I loved that we were supplied with a full litre of Milk! That never happens :) The location was amazing, and so pretty. I loved the Kangaroos and the fact that it was so quiet. The cabin was lovely and the wrap around verandah was great! The kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

The only thing I will say is that the mattress could be a little bit softer, and some extra toilet paper would have been good as well and maybe one of those luggage racks in the bedroom so that you can put your suitcase on to ave you bending down all the time.

great place to visit . cabins were located close to each other but with the scene of privacy. would recommend , morning and night roos everywhere , recused a turtle from the pool , everything was well presented , due to covid we couldn''t access the owners , though it was extremely well organised and we seemed invited , the placement of the little things like bread ,condiments and milk was extremely welcoming. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED , on another though our first visit to the hunter was our anniversary a few years ago came back this year and we had the same cabin ,bit of a bonus , have no idea if it was the owners discretion or just luck ,was a great surprise , THANKS

hard to say , nick picking , the sofa lounge was a little to soft ,the veranda from the bedroom was noise due to the sheeting not being secured to the cottage, this is nothing to complain about , if any thing the cottage has charm

Great location, felt like a farm stay but was right in the middle of Pokolbin. Our girls loved seeing all the kangaroos! Cabins were spaced well apart and private, and spacious inside. More like renting a house than a cabin. Everything we needed was provided and it was very clean. The breakfast provisions were a lovely touch. It was a wet cold day when we arrived and the owner had put the heater on, making inside warm and welcoming for us. We would definitely stay there again.

Some people have complained about the condition of the cabins but we had no problems. The carpet was a bit old, but it was fine. I guess WiFi at the actual cabin would have been the thing we would have wanted most.

The idea of the cottages are second to none. Great private getaway that is secluded and very personal. Perfect for a relaxing weekend away to escape the Sydney rat race ! Although we didn't need reception, they did make it felt like they were only a short call away ! Warmth was not an issue and it was really really cozy.

The rooms were admittedly dated. With a cassette and CD player as the main source of music you can probably paint a picture of how the rooms were ! Although the place was quite clean and equipped, the aging decor and ambience makes you question how many people were in here before me.

Day 1 free breakfast provided,. Wild kangaroos roam around the plantation in front of our cottage and they do not come close to us, give us a good safety distance to view them. Cottage to cottage distance is good giving us privacy.

No internet in the cottage.

Good location and a nice country style one bedroom weatherboard cottage in a rural setting. Fresh bread and milk that was waiting on our arrival was a nice touch. Check in and checkout was easy.

While clean and tidy, the cottages are a little tired and in need of maintenance.

Such a beautiful secluded area. We had a nice, peaceful stay, yet it was still only a short drive to pubs and shops. Really nice items left in the fridge for us as well as nice clean facilities

Nothing, just keep doors and windows closed because if ants

The cottages were in an ideal location. 500 metres from the wedding we were attending and we found very central to many wineries and shops etc. The cabin was clean and neat.

We paid an extra $90 for a 5th guest which wasn’t a problem except the bed for the 5th guest was a 30 year old pull out bed from the sofa lounge. This “bed” had such a sag in it that it was more like a hammock. It was so uncomfortable the bed got put back into the lounge and our 5th guest slept scrunched up on the lounge.
