Potters Apartments

It was nice and peaceful and overall a very picturesque place to stay. Staff were lovely and very helpful and it was nice and close to where we wanted to go. The little outdoor area was great for the kids and I loved the bath/shower it made things so easy with kids. Nice big bathroom and good kitchenette facilities. Bed could have used a pillow top mattress but we all slept well.

The room was clean and tidy but there were a couple of things cleaning wise that were missed in the room but nothing that caused any great inconvenience. Perhaps the wording apartments is a little misleading as it is really only the size of a largish motel room with a good size bathroom. A lounge to sit on would have been an excellent feature but we were still very happy with our stay thank you!

We have stayed at Potters many times in the King Villa and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartments are in groups of 4 spread out so it is very quiet. The location is close to Cessnock while being in the countryside. There is The Mighty hotel on site for lunch/dinners or just drinks. We finally got to use the pool as it was 30+ degrees and being under the shade cloth was great. The king villa has a patio that is quite private.

We liked everything.

The scenery is fantastic. the rooms were comfortable, clean and private. Staff at check in were friendly. Dinner was yummy.

We had spent the day on a tasting tour unfortunately there were some hiccups with the bus that we had booked which meant our group was transported to the venues in 2 busses rather than 1. This resulted in time delays and we missed out on having the platters we ordered for lunch. We had planned to indulge in the platters on return to Potters and had taken our food to the outdoor eating area at the wooden tables on the grassed area - only to be told by the security that we could not eat there. He wasn't very friendly in his approach and we discovered the following day that there was a picnic area near the pond where we could have eaten our missed lunch - sadly the security did not offer this suggestion and we missed out on our paid lunch. Other than that the stay was fantastic.

The location is excellent as it is close to Cessnock. The Mighty pub and brewery are on site which makes it easy for a lunch or dinner or just a few drinks. There is a pool, tennis court and BBQ facilities. We stay in a king villa which is spacious and has a private patio. We have stayed there many times over the years and will definitely be back.

The location and amenities were great. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Air-conditioning was great with the hot afternoon sun on the rooms. The rooms were very basic but good value for money.

The the top of the toilet and the toilet had pubic hairs. No plug in the vanity sink. The room had a musty smell which gave us hayfever. Overall the rooms need to be given a thorough cleaning and renovating. The beds were uncomfortable.

We had a twin room that we have stayed in before. The room is basic but we like that the outlook is greenery and that we are not sandwiched between adjacent units. It is very convenient being able to eat at the neighbouring pub within walking distance. The accommodation is also very well located for exploring the Hunter valley wineries etc. During warm weather my husband enjoys the pool.

The lights are pretty dim. There was no plug for the bathroom sink to wash faces or crockery. Our unit did not have any chairs outside for sitting in the sun. I tried to book a few weeks early and there was a 2 night minimum that prevented me from booking because I could only stay one night. Closer to my visit I looked again and there was no two night minimum, and the place did not seem to be full when we stayed. Not sure why this condition was imposed. The free wifi did not work.

They have created privacy to the large bedroom window with clever planting of shurbs and trees. Bed was very comfortable. We were offered clean towels each day that is unusual for a three day stay.

Not so much as I didn't like but something that should be considered.....the shower is over the bath and we are both in our 70's + we were very careful getting in and out having a shower. Installation of "grab" rail is recommended.

The location was perfect place to be with minutes drive to all the popular Hunter Valley destinations like Lovedale, Pokolbin, Singleton and Hunter valley Gardens. The place was clean when we arrived. The open area setup made it easy for us to move around and not feeling choked. A great miss was the closes pub on site (due to covid). The staff was helpful. Price wise this felt great value for money in Hunter

WiFi didnt work so most of the stuff in TV didnt work. The swimming pool was a bit worrying from my experience. As the changing depths were not clear with the colour of pool base getting camouflaged. Almost had a fall. Could do with some more basic kitchen setup like a spatula a better frying pan and some more dish washing liquid

central to everything staff are super nice and accomadating very quite place to stay parking onsight decent size rooms theres a pool one in shade one not with tolliets next to it tenis court too

the beds are so uncomftable having netflix or tv that works in the rooms for night would be nice we only had one channel that worked the mirror in our room was smashed

The room was spacious, clean and had everything you would need or would normally forget when you leave home.. the kids had room to play outside and enough room to watch tv and play inside.. the laundry was small but did the job.. the reception was more than accommodating and I would stay again and again lovely place... I would suggest the internet is a bit slow sometime couldn't pick it up maybe more routers or stronger connection around the rooms... Thankyou again. :)
