Breakfast was excellent as always & room & bed very comfy.- excellent bath & shower & extra towels & pillows available just by asking at any time.

The horrible cleaning sprays used in the room & breakfast areas are toxic & too strong... made me unwell for first couple of days we were there til we were able to get the smell out of our room. i would suggest using the Neutral cleaning products available so they aren't reacting with people with sensitive sinuses. Also the Orange Jasmine Hedges when flowering are veery nasty for people like me who suffer from hayfever. We will need to stay somewhere else when the Jasmine hedges are in flower :( We had booked for a Grand Room with Valley view but this time we were ghiven a room right at the end of the row where the view was looking over the row of rooms below as instead of the lovely wide valley view we have had on previous stays.

This is actually the 4th time we have come back to this property- we loved it and we brought friends along who loved it too. They all said they would stay again.

Not to do with the property, but as our children were playing near the playroom and grass area where the outdoor games were, we were abused by a group of other people staying there that we were 'inconsiderate' having children play there and this should be an adults area (despite that it was by the playroom). They were incredibly irate and abusive to us, would have appreciated staff around to support. These people were also chain smoking near people eating and drinking. This is advertised as and is clearly a family friendly venue- and this is why we stay here and love it so much.

I would have liked to have stayed there longer but I was only passing through the region. The room was lovely and had a nice outlook. The breakfast was awesome and met the high expectations set by the reviews I'd read. There were nice quality Antipodes bath products provided in the room and when asked if I could purchase some when I was checking out, the girl at the front desk went out of her way to source some for me to buy. I used the gym on the morning I left which was great. I liked the rose garden, which looked really nice at night with the lights. The late checkout of 11 am was very much appreciated and they even extended it to 12 pm without my asking, which was generous. All the staff were very friendly and obliging throughout my stay. This would be a great place to stay with a group, but equally good for a couple as well.

Nothing to add here.

Enjoyed our stay, the rooms are lovely. Breakfast is amazing, one of the best buffet breakfasts I’ve had and to the same standard everyday! All the staff are lovely, especially the cleaners! Everywhere is kept lovely, beautiful views.

It’s quite expensive and the bar food/room service is awful.. really poor quality. Which is so odd because the breakfast is so lovely! We had it twice and both times everything wasn’t nice at all - even my sons meal which was just a tomato pasta, but instead of a sauce they had just squeezed what looked like tomato purée on it and the pasta was really under cooked. Not something you’d expect when paying those prices.

Very fine breakfast. Otherwise food options were very limited. The bar food was average. There were no other options nearby. (It was early in the week). This is the only negative point I have about our stay. But it is an important one.

Food options in the evening. Low quality in the bar. All local restaurants closed. We should have been advised of that when booking.

Location,, decor and gardens were stunning. Our room was spotlessly clean and we loved sitting on the balcony looking at the mountains and gardens.

Our room was stunning but not the room we thought we were getting as shown on the website. We were informed by reception that there is only one room of this type which wasn't available. Also, the menu for Locavore Restaurant on the website had not been updated and our choices for dinner were no longer available.

Our room was very spacious, luxurious and clean for the two of us. We were impressed with all the design features, effort for sustainability and our gorgeous view of the valley from our balcony. We ate breakfast at the property three times, and dinner two times in the bar/restaurant and were so impressed by the food, wine and value for money. All the little board games around made it seem very homey.

We were really looking forward to a movie in our room after some big days out, although there was good sized TV it was only free to air, so we couldn't really watch anything we were interested in eg. Netflix. Everything in the room seemed quite modern apart from this.

Location was great. Minutes from a lot of the vineyards. Easy access and ample parking. Staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and polite. Very comfortable rooms and beds with plenty of space. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety of hot foods, cereals and pastries. Definitely a good idea before starting a day of wine tasting. Easy online check in and quick checkout. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again.

I can’t think of anything. Very enjoyable stay.

The property and the grounds were so lovely and had a great ambience. Exceptional staff (especially waitresses in the lounge restaurant). Fantastic things for kids- spaces, gardens, a recreational room. The furnishings were so aesthetic in the rooms. So many positives- I will stay here again.

The tables in the room were quite dusty- visible dust. Picture attached. Our friends who also stayed in a different room had a glass of drink with lemon in the closet left from a previous guest with mould growing. There was no bottle opener in the rooms either- we searched high and low… strange for wine region. These are the only negatives, we loved this property and will stay again.

excellent location, well kept grounds, beautiful rose garden, timeless and stylish architecture and furniture, superbly comfy bed, clean rooms, good food, peaceful! They gave us a free upgrade from 2 singles to 2 Doubles! thank you so much!

the gym- more attention and checks on equipment. The pin for the weight plates for the cable machine was broken, so could not adjust the weight. The entire equipment is very old, seat padding scratched, aged and coming off, so unslightly and such a pity as the gym space, natural light, positioning of treadmill, cycle and elliptical entire layout is very good.
