Boomerang Hotel

As a stopover on our trip from Canberra to Geelong it was just right. Having the continental breakfast included was very helpful. We had a good night's rest giving us a relaxing timeframe for the onward journey. The location is good for the purpose, easy to find and close to an independent petrol station with low prices. The staff were friendly and helpful, though hard to find when we first arrived. On-site parking also helpfully right outside the door of the room. Although we only had one night, we would be very happy to stay there if we ever need to stay longer in the area.

There was nothing we didn't like; but would just suggest that the bathroom is ready for an upgrade.

- Incredibly comfortable bed and spacious room. - Kind and helpful staff. - Good spread for breakfast including cereal, toast, yoghurt, tea, coffee, and fruit. - We were fortunate enough to be given the accessible room (we had not requested this but it was incredibly helpful as I have limited mobility), and definitely looked to be well suited for anyone with limited/impaired mobility. It had wide door frames, though steep a ramp, and plenty of room to manoeuvre around the bed, desk and bathroom.

- We think there may have been mould on the sheets at some point in the past, but it looked to be washed out. - Shower curtain really blowed into the shower, some weights in the hem would fix this. - Looks a little dated, but everything you need and more is there. - The ramp to the front door was rather steep. This may not be suitable if you have severe mobility issues, or use a wheelchair. - The lights are a bright white, I prefer warm white lights so wasn't too keen on it, but the lights were well placed; near the bed, desk, and right near the front door.

Rooms are old but clean and tidy. Spilt system, tea/coffee, fridge and TV. Toiletries and hairdryer also supplied. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was quiet despite the location. There is room service from the pub attached to accom or you can go and dine at the bistro. A continental breakfast is included in the price as a deal sweetener. Breakfast offerings were a choice of cereals, different breads to toast with a range of spreads, fruit, muffins, tea, coffee and orange juice. A cooked breakfast available at decent price. Parking on site. Staff were polite and helpful in all areas. Bistro has a child play area and is family friendly

The hot water in the shower cycled through boiling to cold which made a shower uncomfortable. The TV was stuck in shop demo mode.

Breakfast was available, and is decent however this stay i had to leave earlier so could not have breakfast. It would be great if breakfast could be available (just the continental,not cooked) from 6:30 am. For those of us, which i think is quite a few that have to get on the road early. Minor complaint for a great place to stay.

i come in a large ute and long trailer (19m overall). having the big back carpark is great however it does need some maintenance as is has huge potholes that fill up with water (nearly a foot deep).

Australia day. The staff at the Sportsbar. Special mention to Alex. The gaming room staff, nothing was a problem.

I have stayed at the Boomerang on seven occasions. The last two occasions, I have sent back my medium stake that was medium rare. last year I sent back my steak twice on the same sitting. If this is the same chef as last year, I will never eat at the bistro again or he needs to go back to school to obtain his qualifications as chef and not a cook.

Loved that the property was so centeral to shopping centres and close to resturants. It also had a heated pool which my daughter absolutely loved! The bar was also in a way seperated from the rooms which made it quiet. There was a little kids room where my daughter loved to play in and better yet dad could watch the footy and have a bevy watching her right outside. It was great! The food was decent as well!

The stay amazing! If I had to pick at anything the only minor thing I could pick at would be the shower head in our room could have a clean as there were some holes clogged up and sprayed side ways. But thats it!

Breakfast was great nice selection, photo of room was deceiving not as big and roomie as photo but was okay beds were comfy and clean. Staff were very friendly and because we were leaving before breakfast the next morning we were given take away ones which was lovely and thoughtful of them.

Make the photos more truthful. The out come of this one was still very pleasant but I have been caught before we’re the motel I booked with the room was so small you couldn’t get out if there was a fire, they had to have stood on the little kitchen bench to take the photo to make it look a lot bigger. Photos can be very conceiving . Oh and my friend would of liked an electric blanket as she’s a cold fish.

- Room could be darkened well - Bedside lamp - good air conditioning that doesn't blow directly onto the bed - good breakfast, you can't complain, scrambled eggs with bacon etc. are available for an additional charge. -comfortable bed - friendly staff - centrally located - quiet

- Door cannot be locked from the inside, can only be secured with a chain (logically, the door can only be opened from the outside with the key) - Arcade nearby, appropriate audience - Fridge a bit noisy

Breakfast was valuable burnt heaps toast my son Dylyn burnt toast a few times Chris had to go get more was funny but it wouldn’t fit in the toaster think toasters need to be updated to bigger wider one. And expect that a cockroach was in the room a ugly brown big one and crickets got into the room and one jumped on bed. Everything is good I’d suggest around the rooms get sprayed or have cans of fly spray hidden somewhere so people staying can use to make it pest free

Parking areas could be bit better very tight some big vehicle was right next to us we were worried he would have trouble getting out..

We liked that it had a bistro attached and the breakfast included was also a big win for us. We had been travelling all day and we were just looking forward to a hot shower and a comfortable bed. While they missed the mark with the shower and the bed, everything else was actually pretty good. It was quiet and close to the Hume Hwy so was easy to find.

The rooms were clean and tidy however the mattress was worn out and uncomfortable with sagging in places. The showers were really hard to regulate too.
