Though very basic, the rooms were impeccably clean, so were the washrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good range of food and beverages to choose from in the restaurant downstairs.

Given the location and resources available, can’t really think of anything I did not like. A TV in the room would have been good but it’s not a critical issue

Location was just awesome in the old part of Harrington, it is an old style pub accommodation, you know with the ablutions block along the hallway, and the coffee etc along the corridor. The Hotel grounds adjoin the inlet and provide marvellous views. The bedroom was very clean, bed very comfortable. The pub itself is very modern and obviously popular, meals were very good, staff extra friendly. If you don't mind not having a room with no TV etc but want peace and quiet, avoid Friday and Saturday nights. $80 for one person, $90 for two, can't beat it.

What I expected.

Enjoyed the simplicity of our room and bed so comfy. There was a tea and coffee area upstairs with fridge and milk for guests to use. There were lots of guests the nights we stayed but the hotel was very quiet at night. Loved having the bistro and cafe downstairs - we used both and the food was delicious and staff delightful. The accommodation and shared bathrooms were spotlessly clean. Easy walk to the RSL/Bowling Club. We were very comfortable at this lovely hotel and would absolutely stay again.

Location is excellent, stunning views of the ocean and seawall from back balcony. Beds were good quality and very comfy. We had a family room which was quite large. Went downstairs for drinks and dinner most nights. The quality of the food was excellent, we were much impressed. The service was friendly and prompt, great atmosphere. The price point is excellent value.

We have no complaints at all. We got what we expected, but mostly better! It's a 'pub stay' so we knew what to expect. The description of the rooms and amenities were exact, so really there are no complaints. If I had any suggestions it would be maybe to have a mirror in the room, and a small table and chair, which would fit in the family room no problems. I don't really expect it though, as I know that the rooms are described as basic and to provide any more would incur some costs.

Staff were very friendly, apartment was clean and well maintained. Location was perfect. The views were amazing from the deck.

We were there with a group celebrating. The rooms are not very well sound proofed which was not an issue for us but could be for some people. Some locals became aggressive accusing us of being rude to an older gentleman who we were talking to about fishing when leaving the pub downstairs. This could have turned sour. However we are not aggressive people and we’re there for a good time and explained that.

I loved the location and the staff were nice and friendly.

It didn’t mention that the room I chose with a sunroom wasn’t private, it was a shared sunroom and I expected there to be a mini fridge and odds and ends in our room but it was just a bed. Nice but just not what I was expecting. Also didn’t feel like we had much privacy with there being glass on the doors even though it was privacy glass.

Ambience and view are really magnificent . Room was clean but the light is kind of dark. Female toilets and shower are Clean ( though it is shared ) Staff are nice and friendly.

I was having a shower in the female room and a male guest got in and peed. So awkward when you know that you are with a man inside the female's room while having a bath. Anyway, Another lady guest caught him and I heard she gave him a word.

The staff were super friendly. The kitchen staff were also very lovely. I requested them to heat my take away meal and they were happy to microwave. They offered free ice cream to my son. It was such a pleasure to stay. I highly recommend the place.

Nothing that I didn't like.

Great location, perfect bistro and bar drinks downstairs with stunning views. Rooms are clean and beds are cozy. Friendly staff helping checkin. Though bath room is shared, they are super clean.

Regretting choosing the rooms facing street and will recommend the ones facing ocean. Because the bar won’t get quiet until 11 pm.

This place is a hidden gem. Rooms and shared amenities are basic but very clean and comfortable. And the staff were all super friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.
