close proximity to newcastle uni (and bar on the hill), stayed here for a concert at bar on the hill so it was walking distance to that. clean, much bigger space than expected (2 story town house all to ourselves).

floor in laundry area needed a vacuum and mop. check in location is not at the same location as the property, which we didn’t realise until we had already been dropped at the property. place we were assigned was up a flight of stairs, at the top of the complex so had to lug everything upstairs after being dropped off by uber and not realising this until it was too late

Quite well maintained. Sound proofing was good - could not hear the traffic. Comfortable sofa and beds. Dishwasher has appropriate temperature of 70C to kill most bacteria and viruses - especially important during current SARS-Cov-2 pandemic. Plenty of plates and bowls for two of us. Tony is an asset to The Grounds as he has excellent customer service. He helped us to extend our stay at The Grounds for additional 4 nights without us having to move. We will definitely stay at The grounds again.

the handles on the diner knives have become loose.

Very easy communication as to location and how to access.

Cleanliness in the kitchen was very poor. Cutlery in drawer not washed properly. Neither were plates/cups. Had to wipe down kitchen chairs/tables. Toaster surrounded by crumbs and the fridge wasn't wiped out. Very disappointing as the rest of the accommodation was great. No tea towel provided either. Just proper cleaning would make it great.

Apartment. No food supplied. Very nice apartment, Good price. Hunter Valley seemed to be booked out and highly priced. Jesmond access to the northern vineyards via the freeway was ideal. Also access to restaurants in Hamilton etc very good.

Access to the property is bad. The keys to be picked up at an office situated almost on a very busy roundabout is crazy and dangerous, especially coming from Sydney. Then the directions to the property (several kms away) were confusing and the actual entrance to the (very large) area of units was quite obscure and narrow. This was even using google maps. The business office should be situated in a more accessible spot. The "manager" on duty told me that they were working on installing pin codes for the doors instead of picking up keys. It would be cheaper to relocate the office and keep the human contact.

The Junior night manager on Friday night was rude and obnoxious and not interested in listening to what his day colleagues had said they could do for an extra bed. He was not helpful and dismissive to any point of trying to resolve the issue.

The facilities and location were perfect for my stay.

The key pick up and drop off arrangements were very inconvenient. I would suggest a more practical and smooth check in and check out process. I chose this accomodation because of the close proximity to the Newcastle Uni campus as I was teaching there for two days. It was confusing and inconvenient to get a taxi from campus out to Jesmond , 10 mins away, to collect the keys then drive back. Same issue with the check out needing to drive out to Jesmond to return the keys.

The quilts are dirty. The microwave oven is not clean. There’s an exposed cable in LC-4 just below the sliding door to the backyard, it keeps getting caught in the sliding door mechanism and poses a safety risk.

The rooms are an amazing space very roomy and very very close to the uni

It was a bit hard to access and should have a collection box at the sites to leave keys on departure instead of going all the way back into Jesmond

Clean quiet and close to our daughter at uni

Poor instructions, door lock didn’t work properly but staff were very helpful and lots of stairs

great location very new and comfy.

did not like the fact that we had to get the keys from another address. also finding the 2 separate rooms which we were allowed caused us a lot of hardship as we are a family. and arriving late at night and locating 2 separate rooms in a large complex was difficult
