Sydney Junction Hotel

Beautiful and clean for a pub accommodation. No noise from down stairs. Whilst the room itself was on the small side it was well stocked, clean and a comfortable bed. The shared bathroom was clean and well maintained as was the rest of the property. Very family friendly and felt incredibly safe as a mother and young child staying overnight. Staff were beautiful and so polite and friendly. Will most definitely stay again anytime visiting Newcastle.

Bathroom didn’t have a stall or anything to put belongings on whilst showering or any soap available in dispenser. Toilet door also wouldn’t lock properly. Could also do with a larger mirror

The staff are friendly, the Hotel is clean, Queen rooms, Air conditioned, TV, WiFi, Fridge, jug with coffee Tea Sugar milk in fridge, bottled water, all linen and body wash, shampoo and conditioner all at your fingertips, you can't beat it for the price and location wow Lovely venue downstairs, bar, gaming, coffee shop, beautiful food at the restaurant My favourite meal the grilled Chicken breast burger and chips. The gravy is yummy too. VIP gaming lounge open till 3am every night with complimentary drinks and snacks 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very close to Hamilton Railway Station. Bed very comfortable and television worked well.

I was in room 1 which was nice and clean. My kettle wouldn’t work the next morning I think due to cord becoming loose. Looked behind mini bar and found small cockroaches behind. Could not fix cord. All done to make kettle theft proof. Behind cupboard also dusty. Needs a good vacuum.

Excellent price and service on the accomadation side was brilliant, rooms very comfortable, walking distance to the entertainment centre, opposite the train station, lots of options for eating out or a great family venue in the hotel including a play area for young kids.

Although the tea/coffee station was appreciated, it was hard to set up and there was no milk provided. No mirrors. All little things that would not have been missed if told in advance so you could prepare :) Parking in the area can be an issue.

awesome location right opposite Hamilton train station. so within a few minute train ride to Newcastle interchange and light rail to cbd. everything you need near by if you want to stay in Hamilton including restaurants, pubs. accommodation price for the location is great value compared to Newcastle a lot of the time . rooms and facilities are very clean. highly recommended

We caught wrong train ended in dapto ,caught wrong again ,had to get off a Hamilton station ,ring mum need help ,cold & lost, hungry ,only a little money left ,no phone flat ,can you look up a place to stay I asked mum ,& she found yours not to far away from from were I was phoneing her ,we where safe warm & freed & showered ,from our day trip that we got lost on the trains feeling much better now home , look ft

Clean and comfortable basic room. Staff were friendly. It was value for money in an ideal location.

Nothing it was what I expected for a 'pub' room.

The staff were fantastic, especially considering how late we booked and arrived. We asked to change rooms to be closer to the toilets and shower and the young manager was incredibly polite and accommodating to myself and my elderly mother. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were clean. Thank you from two very tired and weary travellers.

Leaving it.

Unclean beds and bedding. One person from our party found evidence of bedbugs in her mattress. Another found what looked like pubic hair on her pillow. Sheets had clearly not been washed and rest of the room was in a similar state. The shared bathroom (between 13 rooms so up to 26 people) had no hand soap. Cards didn’t work on the outside door so had to ask a cleaner to let us in. Staff were vaguely helpful but laughed in our faces when we brought up issues we were encountering. The noise from the music playing downstairs went on until 3am. This place should be charging hostel prices as that is what it is. We paid $100 per room per night, needs to be $40 max. Absolute daylight robbery.

Fabulous location for arriving on the train, easy to ride to beaches, the city, local shops..

The doors to each room slammed whenever anyone shut them. I'd suggest some cushioning around the doors to deaden the sound a bit please.
