Terrific accommodation, quiet rooms, very spacious and comfortable. The view from the rooms facing the back of the hotel overlook the Knights Junior training field and facility - super tidy garden on view. Fabulous to have the Leagues club adjacent, and room key entry to that very convenient. Great Breakfast at the club. Undercover parking available Free of Charge for both the hotel stay and guests for the leagues club. Super clean hotel. Free shuttle bus at the front door to any game or events at Mc Donalds Stadium, check event details.

Nothing to improve on at this hotel!!

I have and will continue to stay at the Gateway Inn whenever I visit Newcastle area. The staff are so helpful whevener needed. Rooms are amazing, Staff are awesome, Food and Beverages next door makes everything about the stay enjoyable as it takes the stress out of travelling

Being fussy but I normally go to sleep with the TV on and use the sleep function to turn it off although the TV Setup they have doesn't have that, First world problem though

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size with somewhere to sit and the beds comfortable. I liked the retractable clothes line in the shower. It was a very comfortable stay. Also it was convenient to be able to walk to the Wests club next door with various eating options. We stayed several non-consecutive nights over a week and had different rooms. All were similarly good.

The only negative was in the bathroom. The glass wall meant that the bedroom was lit up when someone was in there. And the extractor fan was very noisy and went on whenever someone turned the light on. So you couldn’t sleep if your partner was using the bathroom. Otherwise the bathroom was fine and the shower good.

I couldn't find a teaspoon to stir my coffee. The instant coffee supplied wasn't very nice. Was only one extra roll of toilet paper and the toilet paper on the roll was almost gone. I am a cleaner for a motel myself and we discard the roll of toilet paper if there is less than 3cm left.

We chose the Gateway Inn as after a matinee of Rolling Thunder at Civic Theatre we were having dinner with friends at the attached West's Club.. Uber ride was only $20 from Newcastle so location was great and good free car parking. The room was great, quite large, window seat is brilliant, double headed shower in the modern bathroom.

There is nothing negative.

unfortunately not much - and definitely not value for money

check in process 1 person on counter and about 10 people arrived before me.-as I had a show booking I was rushed for time and there were no other staff to assist on counter so I was upset at this . at what I would think a peak time to check in should have had someone to call on to assist. my check in took 2 mins when I got to counter however as the people before me hadn't prebooked the process was extremely slow, I'm guessing as they were all international travellers and had to provide passport details etc but wow I've never known it to take so long - this was disappointing then I was as we were rushed we needed to have a quick shower and leave and the key to the apartment - there was a second door wasn't working so we never got to use the apartment other room which was a waste in the end

Liked that the room had a balcony was able to open door get some fresh air.

The fact the AC was set temperature and must be on a timer as woke up during the night to room very stuffy and hot would hate to have this In summer/warmer months

The room was great... well set out and a comfortable bed. Although I never utilised the adjoining club it was very handy if you needed a meal. We utilised room service and that worked out well.

If I had thought about it I would have asked for a room that did not front the road. Being on a main arterial road it was very noisy. If I stay again I would only do so if I secured a quieter room... some double glazing might help. Apart from that I can't fault the property.

Cleanliness, comfort and room facilities.

I was surprised I was unable to find a mug for a morning coffee as a kettle, coffee, milk and sugar were available. Perhaps this was an oversight but it didn't matter as I had a coffee downstairs at breakfast anyway. Just a minor suggestion. The corridor between my room and the lift was also freezing, so the air conditioning was too low, however this was again a minor point as I was in and out of the lift and it was next to my room.

We travelled to Newcastle for a funeral so not a great start. We had interconnecting rooms which worked well. Next time however Id opt for one of their small 2 bed apartments which looked really spacious. Rooms were new and clean and quiet. The gym next door was excellent - pool and huge gym area - with free access during our stay. There is an oval also which is good for a run
