The big refrigerator, which allows us to travel regularly between QLD and Sydney without wasting food. The room is old but clean and functional and the BBQ area and gardens are beautiful. The location is its best selling point. We choose the only King room and the bed is enormous and comfortable. We are regulars after trying several other more expensive motels in Kempsey.

The blind on the window is not wide enough and allows people sitting in the BBQ area or even just passing the front of the unit to clearly see inside and the bed. It needs to be replaced with a wider blind.

Location is perfect for an overnight stopm between the Sunshine Coast and Sydney. The room (The King room) is confortable and big. Even though the fittings are old, the room is clean and the large refrigerator with working freezer allows us to keep food in good condition. The grounds and gardens are beautful. We have tried (nd rejected) many motels in Kempsey over the years, usually because of the lack of refrigerator space. This is currently ranked No. 1 for us.

The room is a bit noisy because of the highway being in close proximity but the other features make up for this. The owners needs to wash up the sipplied glasses and cutlery. We needed to wash them before we could use them. The bathroom sink is not adequate for washing up properly.

Very quiet at night. Comfortable bed. Good room amenities including bathroom shampoo/ conditioner. Air conditioning and ceiling fan. Fridge and microwave as well as cutlery and crockery. Well positioned TV with good signal. Friendly office staff. Close to both freeway and downtown. Golf club right across the street which is ideal if you play golf.

First impressions: paint pealing off door step. Shabby entry carpet! Toilet facing close to wall instead of towards shower stall. No wardrobe hangers. Toilet position not good for large people. It's a relatively easy fix for the owners. (Room #1)

I like the fact that it is set back from the road, has plenty of open space with kangaroos eating the grass in the late afternoon. The parking is easy and you’re only a few minutes off the freeway so it’s an easy access. I need to have more overnights stops when I travel to see family ( I’m 73). The bedding, and kitchen facilities are enough for what I needed but wow that bathroom was very cold in the morning ! ( in a cold winter )

Fairway lodge was the perfect place to stay for one night to break up our drive home from QLD to Sydney. The beds were comfy, the reverse cycle kept us warm as it happened to be the coldest day of winter, the room was very clean and the lady at reception was super sweet and very welcoming. I took the kids bowling for something to do after check in which was literally a two minute drive down the road and grabbed some dinner afterwards in town. I highly recommend the dragon Chinese restaurant and also found the petrol station right across the road from that had cheap petrol and fantastic service. I will definitely return on our next road trip back to Qld.

There was nothing i could fault.

Nice, neat room which looks to be recently painted. The beds were very comfortable. The room was very quite, I couldn't hear anyone else, or the traffic. The large open area with Kangaroos was great to occupy the kids in the morning. The kids also loved feeding the Magpies who stood by our door looking for food.

There was a tiny amount of mould in the freshly painted bathroom.

It is set off the road which it good for road noise and opposite a golf course. There is a lot of land behind the motel with kangaroos which I’m sure kids would love.

The first time we stayed we were in a room towards the end of the property which was quiet but when we stayed a few days later we were at the top end near the truck business next door which was not ideal, background noise during the night.

Definitely value for money. Very basic but clean and a convenient location for a stop between Sydney and Brisbane.

A little noisy with road boise when the window is open, but fixed by closing the window and putting the aircon on. The air-freshener smell from the toilet permeated the entire room.

it was clean motel with great facilities like microwave and kettle, aircon. great location just off highway but very quiet and peaceful. we like bbq area for evening meals and drinks.

we missed some area next to BBQ where we could wash the dishes with dishwashing liquid, we struggled to wash our dishes with cold water and no designated area for that.
