To be honest I only booked here because the first two I tried didn’t have two rooms available at the last minute. And I’m really glad. This is a little gem. Really nice rooms, very well refurbished, comfortable beds and lounges, well equipped with microwave, toaster, coffee pod machine, crockery and cutlery. Right next to a path that leads around the river to the foreshores, so a lovely area to walk. Coles is a three minute walk away, and there’s an excellent Korean restaurant out the front. The staff are very helpful and welcoming.

There are quite a few stairs, but that was my fault, I didn’t think to check. We both have mobility problems but it really wasn’t an issue, we just took it slowly. There is a life going in soon, which will,be good.

The lady at the reception was lovely to deal with - helpful, informative and patient. It’s in a great location and the Asian restaurant downstairs was very convenient. Balcony overlooking the walking path and river was really lovely - albeit a little dusty

We had a Family Suite which has a bedroom with two single beds. The beds were configured in a way that prevents you from closing the door. Wasn’t sure if that was deliberate or just wasn’t thought out properly? Lack of a lift was quite difficult for my elderly parents but we knew that before booking because the Motor Inn quite clearly mentions it in the property details.

Location was really good with easy walk to restaurants etc. Our room on the first floor had been renovated so everything was clean, fresh and modern. The room was very spacious, the bed very comfortable and the patio provided a view of the creek and the bay. Our room was close to the road but with the door closed during the night it was very quiet and the a/c provided the ideal comfort level.

We were initially given room 1 which would have to be the worst room looking at the back of an ugly electricity substation. The courtyard felt claustrophobic and had no water view (unless peering over the wall) which was a huge disappointment given the room we booked was a superior king waterfront room with river/bay views. That room should be hugely discounted even though the room itself was identical to the one we moved to. The positive being that when I asked for another room the gentleman on reception was very obliging and gave us room 12 which was directly above and had a view more like we expected.

Finally, a refurbishment done by someone with a brain and and a generous budget! Our room (although a tad small) had a modern fresh feel and met all our requirements for an overnight stay. Extremely comfortable bed, quiet and efficient airconditioner, well laid-out room with almost everything we needed.

It seems that the Genius discount qualified us for the smallest room the facility had to offer! A tad cramped, but comfortable nonethless. There was no stand for a suitcase despite there being an ideal location for one. The lower-level carpark was a little chaotic when we arrived (also used by squash-players at the facility) but that was sorted by 8pm. Oh, and if you like good coffee: Take your own (Nespresso) pods!! The ones supplied were pretty ghastly IMO.

The room was a lovely, spacious room and had an amazing balcony! The bathroom was a nice size and didn’t feel claustrophobic enducing

I didn’t meet any of the staff during my stay. When I had alerted them about my late check-in I didn’t get a reply. When we arrived, I called the after-hours twice and didn’t receive a message until maybe about 15mins later with a pin to unlock the safe and get in- a bit stressful since I didn’t know what was happening until that point.

Room and beds very comfortable. Check was very easy and staff were friendly. We'd requested a long park due to having a trailer and that was provided which was excellent. Cafe attached had yummy food and option to be delivered to eat in the room was offered.

Only potential downside but didn't bother us as just staying one night is there is no balcony, was aware of this when booking. If staying longer you would have to sit outside your room. Other families nearby did this however and didn't seem to be an issue. If you were staying for longer you might like to sit outside in the evening.

Although no lift is available in this motel my wife who struggles with stairs found no issues with the ground floor. We stayed for four days and had no issues at all during this time. I would definitely stay there again in the future as the rooms were clean, serviced with all needs covered and situated close to all shops and restraints.

Would have been nice if the restaurant served breakfast.

Beautiful room with very comfortable beds. Everything you need in a room with coffee pod machine, microwave, fridge and equipment etc. Lovely bathroom and very spacious again with everything you need. Lovely little court yard overlooking a river or waterway inlet with easy walking distance to the water and breakwall and close and handy walking distance to shops, food, takeaway, centre of town. Beautiful perfect location. Very friendly staff member to greet us upon arrival. Nice quiet location.

The room was excellent and location was a short walk away from town. The Beach was also a short drive and there were many beaches to choose from along the coast line.

I wasn't awear there was no place within the hotel to have a meal. However there were plently to chosse from along the board walk. Also keep in mind there are steps to get to your room. The freindly staff are more than happy to help with your luggage.

Extremely clean. Superb interior decor with top quality furniture. Very surprised at how they've invested in the refurbishment to produce such an amazing outcome. A rare find these days when everything in most places seems to look cosmetically nice only but substandard and inferior in quality. Well done, Palm Court Motor Inn!

Would be nice if there was a lift but not a big problem, really as the stairs aren't steep or high. Also, some external noise filtered into the room e.g sound of something banging at night.
