We like so many things about this hotel! At first, we had doubts about its location as it is a bit further from the city centre, but when we reached the hotel, our mind changed immediately. The location is great for us, it’s just 5-min walking from the Granville train station, minimum chaos involved to find the hotel since you can practically see it from the station itself; so near, so distinctive, you’ll notice it easily! It’s located above a bar, it wasn’t too noisy so it’s okay. Check in and check out were quick and easy, Wi-Fi works perfectly. We got upgraded from a Double Room to a Family Room, but we loved it since it has a lot of natural light; very refreshing in the morning and breezy at night. Our room is okay, beds are comfy, we’ve got clean towels ready as well. The room comes with a mini fridge, kettle, iron & iron board, paper cups, basic tea, coffee, sugar combo, and we also have a huge TV. We found the multiple power points next to each bed very interesting and helpful, so that’s definitely a plus point! The shared bathrooms for female are located mainly around the single/double rooms, but we’re cool with it. The bathrooms come with complimentary Shampoo, Body Wash, Conditioner, hot water, so all is good. They are usually clean in the morning, so no complains. There are many eateries nearby, also marts. There’s a halal Pakistani/Arab food outlet right across the hotel and we loved how generous they are with the food; they’re usually open in the evening till late so it’s really helpful for us to get takeouts after a long day sightseeing in the city.

The hotel doesn’t have an elevator and the stairs are pretty steep, but the staff helped us with our luggage. There’s a washer, but no dryer.

easy to find, great spot for restaurants, cafes and public transport. room was neat, clean, comfortable, with plenty of room. wifi was available throughout the whole hotel, power points have usb ports (bonus), air con and fridge were really cold and were welcome during Sydney's hotter months.

only negative is that upstairs was noisier than I had anticipated, i.e. closing of doors, people walking through the hallways, guests enjoying their stay (we can't hear their conversations but you know they're awake and active). yes you can hear the patrons in the pub downstairs (which wasn't a surprise, for obvious reasons) but come 11pm most of these sounds had decreased or stopped completely

Based on a hotel, not a regal motel. Clean, room sevicing as requested, central location, large room with fridge, jug and ironing facilties. Separate mens and womens wash rooms, not unisex. Great pub down stairs, melting pot of most nations and friendly, no troubles that I saw.

For pub accommodation, no complaints. Except for some untidy people in the shower room, but only once.

Close to the train station, Woollies close by too. Good to have room service. Good basic fairly clean accommodation.

Bathrooms were clean considering they were communal. Washing machine was in male toilets so I wasn't comfortable using it. Room service menu very limited, would be good to have a bit more choice. Bed was comfortable. Would be good to have a sink in the room to fill the kettle.

I like the area closed to a train station, making it easier to go around and visit different closeby towns. It's a good experience I will never forget cause that is my first time. Also the staff's are freindlier and very helpful. Beautiful scenery of the sunrise, and I was hoping to come by again with my friends and stay for a couple of days again.

Location is excellent. Train station across the road and you are in the heart of Granville so you only have to walk out the door. Great price. For under 100 dollars for a night. U won't find a better deal. Room was spacious and had an ironing board and iron cupboard space tv free wifi a fridge and kettle. Staff were great. I won't stay anywhere else while in sydney

I really don't have anything bad to say. I've stayed several times and can't fault them at all

The hotel manager was fab and went out of his way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. Great location near the stadium and right opposite the train station.

There is a little bit of noise from the pub downstairs so take earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Super close to Granville Train Station and only 25 minute train from the CBD

Only issue I really had was the door system shorting out but the staff were amazing at getting it all fixed up for me and went above and beyond for me

Rooms were clean and comfortable, as were the shared bathroom facilities. Staff were wonderful and the location near the train station made it super easy and safe to get to for someone in an unfamiliar city.

No internal access to the pub downstairs - had to walk outside for pub access.

Value for good, great location (right next to train station), room and bathroom are clean

The strong smoke smell in room, no emptying of rubbish and replenishment of tea and coffee during five days stay
