Excellent location for airport & exploring. Staff were very helpfull. Booked us 4.0 taxi for airport onward to NZ. Approx 30 AUD which was well worth paying, actually gave him 40, good value to us at that time! Hotel has very good restaurant facility. Excellent Breaky. Railway in walking distance had a system that was, so easy with on off using CRT card- no queueing for tickets.
Carpets were very tired but not an item that can be changed too often so appreciate the footfall they must have. Slight lack of surface area for small items need to re sort when travelling.

I loved the convenience and affordable luxury of staying at Ibis Airport Sydney. The hotel is located within walking distance from the domestic terminal and offers a shuttle service to the international terminal for a reasonable fee, with the shuttle starting at the hotel parking. The staff exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient. They even provided for an additional bed in the room, even when we had to change it to a pet friendly room at the last minute and no other rooms were available. The room was clean and comfortable, with a BIG bathroom, a flat-screen TV, and a refrigerator (where my cousin could store his medicines). The bed was cozy and the air-conditioning worked well. The hotel also has a restaurant and a bar, where I enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast and a really refreshing morning juice, before proceeding to the Airport. Ibis Airport Sydney is a great option for travelers who need a quick and easy stay near the airport. They did a fantastic job of welcoming our pet dog and giving him a comfortable bed and treats. Along with water bowls and a separate bowl for food, along with a towel to wipe him down after he came back from a walk.
The rooms had good sound-proofing, but going for a stroll outside was desolate and noisy. The hotel being situated in a busy area, and I could hear the planes taking off and landing, as well as the traffic and the construction work nearby, while outside. The doors have a habit of banging shut, and that gets heard from the adjacent room. The room was small and basic, with no wardrobe, no iron, no kettle, and no toiletries. The TV had limited channels. The restaurant and the bar had limited options, although the breakfast buffet was fresh and had a good spread.

The room was fine. We got what we paid for.
We got there at 12md and had to wait for checking in time at 2 pm. There were loads of people waiting to register. We had left our bags and got a ticket for it. It was a good thing we had a ticket otherwise some would not have been able to check in until 3 pm. Considering that weekend was a busy one, it would have made sense to allow people to go to their rooms early if the rooms were available. This way it would not have been so busy and filled the entrance with so many weary travellers. We had just returned from Japan and I was dying for a cappuccino. The one I received would have tasted like mud if I had ever tasted one. The one made by the evening staff tasted like one.

It was extremely clean and the reception staff were very pleasant
No breakfast facilities early on and I booked and paid for the shuttle bus to collect me at 4.50 am ( very precise) and I was there along with 5 others at 4.40 am and no bus arrived by 5.00am I couldn’t afford to wait any longer as I had to check into domestic and my flight left at 6.20am and so I claimed an empty cab as it pulled up and with 2 others we shared the cost to the airport I complained to the reception who said they had not taken out the $12 fee from my credit card yet ( I shall check today to make sure) I had to pay $15 for the taxi ride It is VITAL that transport arrives ON TIME for transit to the airport and do if you offer this facility then MAKE SURE that the shuttle arrives ON TIME!!!!

For a budget hotel, this one is pretty good for the price. I was expecting a lot worse but was pleasantly surprised by the room and the adjacent restaurant/bar. The room, while small had everything I needed for an overnight stay between flights. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, while small was clean with everything I needed including reasonably good water pressure and plenty of hot water. I particularly appreciated having 2 USB ports bedside and an opening window to allow fresh air into the room, something that many more modern hotels don't offer. Most other hotels at the airport only have blackout curtains which still allow some light to enter the room. This hotel had a blackout blind, so when closed, completely blackened the room. The breakfast was ok too for the extra $15 I paid. It was a fairly substantial all-you-can-eat style buffet. While the offering isn't as good as a 5 star hotel, it was certainly enough for this budget traveller. For those travellers who have limited amount of luggage and who want to save a few extra dollars, you can easily walk from Domestic to this hotel in about 15-20 minutes. The walk is all flat and easy to find and navigate to/from the hotel. Note: There are 2 Ibis hotels at Sydney airport. This one has the better ratings and features an onsite bar and restaurant.
The outlook from my room was a carpark so it wasn't particularly attractive. And upon opening the window, aircraft noise would penetrate. Apart from this, there wasn't too much else to complain about. The room is smaller than most but it's fine for a simple, inexpensive bed and breakfast option between flights.

The convenience of location to be able to travel by coach from Canberra to Sydney; a shuttle bus to accommodation then a 2nd shuttle the next day to catch domestic flight to Perth. Worked well for my travel plans.
Confusion with shuttle service - I booked the accommodation, the flight from Sydney to Perth and the coach seat from Canberra to Sydney. I'm not overly experienced with how things work so booked the shuttle service. There was confusion all round. The shuttle service took my booking even though they have an arrangement with the accommodation.

Convenient to the airport with regular shuttle
WI FI in this and any hotel is a problem due to its ability to disturb sleep, the sleep inducing melatonin secreted by the pituitary gland is disrupted because it senses the wi fi frequency as daylight, this fact is scientifically proven as well as being my experience when my room is close to a modem, I get no sleep. If a hotels product is a good nights sleep then this is working against them, hotels need not remove wi fi they just need to locate modems to a part of the hotel away from rooms.

"AIRPORT" Booking & entry to "Emu Blue car park" was a shambles. I missed my flight! IBIS "Room" felt like a refuge from the big bad world. It was uncluttered with sufficient facilities to provide comfort to traveler. "BREAKFAST" was sufficient however limited in choice (this is not a criticism) good value for money.
"AIRPORT PARKING" Booking & entry to "Emu Blue Car Park" was a shambles. I missed my flight! "JET* Check-in. Allan Joyce saving money again for his retirement. Passengers had to do everything that use to be done by "Airline" check-in staff thus long delays with minimum staff available to do their job of assisting passengers. Less wages I guess and more "in pocket" money for Allan.

The location and proximity to Sydney Airport was excellent. Only a 15 minute walk from the terminal. My dinner meal was excellent and good value for money.
It took a very long time to check in. There was only two people on the desk, and one was tied up booking an Air Asia flight crew in. Other people in line were certainly not impressed with how long it was taking. The staff were getting impatient. It was not their fault as the hotel is very understaffed. Very frustrating for the staff and clients.

Friendly staff. Late night check in after countrylink late train travel. Bistro still open and good food. Lovely shower. Thickbfluffy towels. Wake up call was helpful . Shuttle bus to airport is excelent value .
The only thing is the same as many other hotels. $168 a night is not 'budget' for us disab pensioners and so would love breakfast included , but i know it can't be as it actually is budget compared to most. Air con tookma longbrime ro cool.and dehumidify.
