After flying into Sydney following 2 weeks away I wanted to see a play at Surry Hills so booked into the Travelodge at the Airport. It was so convenient to get to after picking up my car from the long term parking. I caught the train to Central to see the play, which was also very convenient and a short walk from the hotel to Mascot train station.

Someone (presumably housekeeping) knocked on the door to my room at 8.30am on Sunday when I was in the shower, which was annoying.

Everything except the shuttle bus

The shuttle bus dropped my disabled mother who is 91 and my sister at Jetstar terminal instead of Qantas terminal, the driver said this was the right terminal so they disembarked. They had to walk a long way which was disappointing as there was no transport available to take them to the right place. They are not use to travelling. I specifically booked the hotel because there was a shuttle. So I was very sad to know it didn’t work.

Because our flight was cancelled due to flooding, no fault of our own,we had to rebook for the following day, we were charged twice, 1 for the cancellation and 1 for the day after. I will not be staying at the Travelodge Sydney airport again

All went well, I’ve stayed here before and find it easy to access the airport for early morning flights. The shuttle service next door is excellent value, takes all the worry about getting to the airport on time.

Evening meal service wasn’t that great, I was seated and left for quite sometime before my order was taken. I could see they were busy so I didn’t make a fuss, however half my order was incorrect when brought to the table, it was corrected fairly soon so not a big deal. I didn’t really enjoy my meal, maybe my choice wasn’t the best, I probably should have ordered what I had previously. That said, I’m not sure I’d bother to eat here again maybe I’ll take a walk down the road next time for a change.

Great buffet breakfast - worth the spend, great atmosphere in the dining room, wide variety of food and a good coffee machine. Staff were helpful and friendly, and someone was at reception all night, handy if you're getting in late. I had a great chat over breakfast with other travellers, I guess that's a great thing about an airport hotel. I've stayed at other hotels nearby and this was a lot better. Simple, comfortable and welcoming. Will stay again.

It did take a little while for the hot water to heat up. Also, be aware travelling in Sydney Sept/Oct that they do hazard reduction burns. It was alarmingly smoky even inside the hotel and rooms.

Well located to international airport and Wilson long term parking is at the rear of the hotel, which is very convenient. We have stayed at this hotel twice before because it is reliably good in terms of check in time and room cleanliness. There is a restaurant in the hotel which we have used for dinner on all occasions before departing overseas the following day. The food is nice, good value and the service is good and friendly.

If there is any negative, it is that the beds can be too hard, making sleep difficult and that is the main reason for being in the hotel in the first place, so a comfortable bed or access to a mattress topper would be a nice option.

Good value for money. Staff, especially at reception, were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean. It wasn’t big but it wasn’t small either and was simple and tidy. There was no view but for a single night stay near the airport it met our needs. There is a restaurant on the ground floor that’s open until about 10pm (I think) and a shuttle service to the airport for about $10 per person. If all you need is somewhere inexpensive but comfortable and clean to stay before an early morning flight, I highly recommend it.

There were laundry trolleys left sitting in the corridors which is a bit unsightly and it would be great if the restaurant was opened just a little later considering there isn’t much else in the vicinity.

this hotel was a very convenient place to stay overnight before catching a mid morning flight out of Australia (and also on another time catching a flight from Sydney airport for travel within Australia). There is a regular shuttle service to take you and your bags to the domestic terminal or the international terminal as needed. The rooms are comfortable, there is a dining area serving reasonably priced dinner and breakfast, and the staff are helpful. There is also a link with a Wilson Carpark next door if you decide to leave your own vehicle there (at reasonable rates too). It’s a low stress, very convenient place to stay for leaving or coming into Sydney airport.

Perfect for short stay. Breakfast was great and half price for kids .Quick walk to domestic airport. Super close to Mascot train station and lots of restaurant cafes nearby. If you travel light and are taking the train get off at Mascot station to avoid the horrid airport entry fee. Will stay again.

Not connected to the hotel but worth a mention.The shuttle wouldn't take us with all our bags(5) but as we were 2 people it was the same price for an uber to international terminal. Shuttle is better economical option at $10 pp for single travellers I think.

Everything was perfect for an overnight stay before flying out of Sydney in the morning. Spotlessly clean, very quiet, super comfy bed and all at a very reasonable price. Some may find the bathroom a tad small but for us no problem for a short stay. Definitely exceeded expectations. If you are stingy like us you can park a little way up the street outside the hotel for free instead of paying $20.00 for the Wilson car park next door. There are also some great restaurants within walking distance so that was an added bonus.

Can't think of anything to complain about!
