Great location, nice quiet during the week, but be prepared to join in the weekends it is above a bar. Fab for beach and short stay, very comfortable bed, could do with a full length mirror and hangers in the wardrobe. We had two large suitcases, it was tight for space for the king room we booked.All facilities and full of tech for air con, room doors, phone charging, rain shower.

Limited breakfast menu choices, big portions but no buffett and No early/take out breakfast for our early flight checking out 5am. Breakfast served from 7am, disappointed Steyne manager not willing to accomodate early take out or night before, even though the menu had a grab and go service!

I had a fantastic stay - its a big pub so was a bit noisy down in the bar area until about 10.30pm but was perfect after that. Room was clean and neat, Bed was comfy, bathroom was good. Steff were friendly and helpful. My flight was delayed by hours so reception had closed when i got there but the bar staff sorted me out no dramas and were happy in the demeanor and had obviously has this happen before as they knew exactly what to do and showed me to my room through a throng of punters enjoying their Friday night drinks. Location could not be better. Right on the beach front as the end of the Manly st Mall - it was the epicentre of everything in Manly !!!! All for under $150 - its gotta be the best value in Sydney ! I went down for breaksfast teh next morning as it was included and expected the ususal toast or cereal only for free but they allowed you to pick whatever you wanted of the breakfast menu so i had the 'Big Breakfast ( $26 ) and a coffee - all on the house ! great start to my holiday

No faults - it was up to the standard i would expect of a budget hotel room price - in fact it was probably better than i expected for $150 a night

It was a great surprise how good it was, especially for the price. I know Manly well, but this is a gem. Room is well-appointed, and the guest lounge and terrace were a nice surprise. It was all very quiet midweek. The breakfast included in the deal was amazing, served in the lovely beach bar. The location speaks for itself.

A hot water jug, or at least some tea bags, would have been appreciated. The room was just too hot to sleep in to me (as previously mentioned). We turned the air con off, as it would not go below 21 degrees, but with no opening window in our King Room, it was very stuffy. I would have given a 10 otherwise. We will definitely be back, though.

Excellent location. Directly across the road from the beach and on the corner of the Corso which is Manly's restaurant and shopping hub.

Wanted to try Blacket's Whisky bar but discovered it was only open during the day. Personally, I think whisky is better consumed as a nightcap. The room was also a little noisy. When the bars close you can hear everything that everyone says as they leave as clearly as they were in your room. This can be quite amusing so it wasn't something that bothered us too much but good to know if we were ever to live in Manly, we would look for a quieter street.

Staff were excellent. Breakfast and Dinner were fabulous.A short walk from the Manly ferry . Hotel in an excellent position right on the sea front.

Our suite was described as having a courtyard view . In reality we had no view as the window was opaque glass blocks. It overlooked the courtyard where very loud music continued till 02.30am on Friday and Saturday and 12.00 midnight on other days. This made sleep impossible until the music had finished.

No kettle in the room but there was one in the common lounge area along with a microwave we were away from the fire safe doors but it would be annoying if your room was next to one of them as they are very loud ever time someone goes through one

for a 2 night stay I was moved from one room to another after the first night. while I appreciated the move was to an upgraded room it was done without my knowledge ie while I was away from the hotel. a phone call advising me would have been appreciated, not to mention that one of my bags was left behind so I had to go to the desk in search of it. staff were very helpful and I will stay at the hotel again.

Spacious comfortable room . Nicely decorated. Young fellow on the desk was super helpful and polite. Thank you for the bigger room upgrade. Lovely to have breakfast overlooking the beach included.

Room does need a little TLC …drain in shower is blocked, fridge door isn’t closing properly and antenna cable keeps disconnecting from the TV. Music from the entertainment downstairs was a little loud but bearable and finished up before midnight.

What a little gem right on Manly Beach! We got a fab mid-week deal which included a full breakfast in the cafe downstairs. A stylish retro room in a recently renovated pub. Yes our room was small (no opening windows) but very well thought out with everything you need plus Nespresso coffee machine, T2 teas, complimentary water & snacks as well as beautiful hand wash/lotion & shower gel. Bed & pillows were super comfy, air con worked well & the location is unbeatable. Being a weeknight there wasn’t any noise from the bar downstairs & our early morning swim & beach walk made our stay extra special. We will definitely be back!

Location is excellent, complementary breakfast was at the cafe next door and was great, bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable, staff were friendly

A few things could be looked at - there needs to be a shower seal added as water currently pours out on the bathroom floor. Aircon cannot be controlled within the room and you’re stuck with the hotel setting (not ideal given there’s no opening windows). Noise was a given since we stayed in the pub, our room was right above the courtyard, if you’re expecting a nice quiet weekend i wouldn’t recommend, however was fine for our stay. Room service could be added and would make a good addition to your stay.
