Merivale Motel

I have stayed in many, many hotels and motels in my time of all shapes, sizes and ratings and this one has to be one of the quietest I’ve ever come across. As a relatively light sleeper, external noise is always a factor I consider when choosing a place to stay and this one was brilliant - didn’t hear a thing when the other guests left in the morning. Add to that a well appointed and spacious room with an excellent shower and this place turned out to be an absolutely pleasant surprise. Highly recommend.

Really struggling to come up with anything…and I always come up with something. Was very happy with this stay.

The location was really quiet away from the main road. It was a pleasant walk to the main street from the motel. The room was exceptionally clean and beautifully laid out. Good quality linen, mattress and pillows. The ventilation in the bathroom was top class and the shower pressure & temperature mixer tap were spot on.

The slat blinds were not completely private when closed and an outsider would be able to see the occupants when the lights were on. Particularly the window edge near the front door.

Position, cleanliness, lovely linen, great big towels. Efficiency of staff, great contact, messages sent re access to room. Well run establishment.

Only fault, no bed side table on right hand side only one on left ??? Just inconvenient for phone etc, nowhere close to put. Minor complaint.

Very clean and modern room and facilities. Staff were very friendly. Free Wifi was quick and responsive. The TV selection had a good variety of choices including Netfix.

Some of the guests had very early morning starts and were not very quiet during the early hours of morning. Unfortunately the motel cannot really control this factor.

Great motel very happy had everything needed for my stay, only criticism was the bed being a tad hard apart from that had a great experience the heated bathroom floors was a great touch.

Our room was large, with a little kitchen and a great shower. The decor was simple and pleasant -- thankfully without one those ghastly patterned bedspreads that motels seem to love! We didnt see any staff -- just got our key from the box and let ourselves into our room. It was all easy and efficient!

Easy access with keys left in lock box on my arrival. A/c was already on and warmed up my room. Room was clean and comfortable, I had expected a large double bed instead of two singles but that could of been my mistake on booking. I was there for work and the location was great. Everything I needed and would stay again.

I had room 3 so parking was awkward as it is in a corner.

The room was clean & had everything we needed. Even had underfloor heating in the bathroom which would be lovely on a cool day. We arrived late at night & the lockbox instructions made it easy to access our key.

Our firrst visit to Tumut The Merivale Motel is centrally located, easy check in, friendly helpful staff, quiet location, lovely brihght sunny room.

Staying a little longer.

Refurbished and modern room interiors, quiet yet very convenient location to CBD. Excellent sized bath linen (often overlooked in many motels!)
