Room set out was great for a family of six.

We had an upstairs room, and the access is via stairs, and then along open balcony beside the rail. Probably due to the size of the seats along this area it felt a little narrow and like weaving between chairs and balcony rail, which would be harder for some, and dependent on bag sizes. We weren’t phased, and the room suited us perfectly. So aren’t deterred. We could use the fridge microwave and kettle and get everyone breakfast in the morning and a snack at night before bed. Loved being in the same room as each other, and watching cartoons in the am - a treat for our kids - while we made a coffee before heading out for the day.

Reception was very friendly and gave us fresh milk. The room is a fairly standard motel room - comfortable but basic. The TV, bed and shower were all good. The Pickled Pig brewery is 20 minute walk away.

The location doesn't have much of interest around it. A few take away restaurants and a basic pub. Slightly further away is the South Tweed Sports/Bowls club.

Climbing up the stairs to our room with a heavy luggage. Upstair rooms not suitable for the elderly persons who find difficulty to climb the stairs.At night brighter lights to illuminate the entrance to the motel and the stairs leading to the upstair rooms.

We asked for an early check in and were told that it would fine to come early. We travel up regularly from Sydney to fullfill commitments and always need an early check in to rest etc before hand. City Lights will definitely be our come to place to stay. The receptionist was very friendly. Check in easy. Although we didnt spend a lot if time there due to commitments, the room was large and comfortable, bathroom big and clean.

Location is perfect for Gold Coast airport and Coolangatta beach front facilities. always head that way as Tweed Heads is not as enjoyable.

The motel is beginning to reflect its age, and we would have valued a kitchen sink. However the owners have worked hard to provide everything a traveller could want. We found the tariff high for our retirement income, however it is competitive with local rates so it’s our problem, not a real criticism.

The staff are so friendly and they upgraded our room, after I explained that we were going to be really late as we had to get our car repaired after being damaged on our Fraser Island holiday. They were extremely helpful, our room was upgraded and our late check in accommodated for. We highly recommend the City lights Motel and we'd certainly stay again.

The room was amazing! The cooking facilities were awesome. The beds were so comfortable. This place is the nicest and cleanest motel I’ve ever seen. The place is great for kids. The staff were absolutely beautiful. I would 100% stay again and I would highly recommend staying here.

There is not a single negative thing to say about this place.

Very clean, friendly staff. Rooms are well equipped and have anything you would need from a short overnight stay or a full week. Good sized fridge and kitchenette. Comfortable bed and very clean bathroom.

Cant say anything bad about City Lights. You get everything You would expect for the price and then some more.

I really enjoyed my stay. My room was cozy and I felt comfortable and safe being there alone.

I didn’t like losing my park and having nowhere else to park except the front by reception, that bothered me a bit but I suppose that was my own fault for coming back at 9:30pm.

Spacious and lots of bench space. Was great that there was washing up facilities provided outside the bathroom/ toilet area. Great that a clean teatowel was provided as well.

Toilet roll holder fell off the wall and the shower door handle was loose. No bedlights
