Atherton Hinterland Motel

The check-in was very efficient and the receptionist was pleasant. The room was a good standard with covered parking right outside the room. The room was spacious with a small area well equiped with cutlery, a microwave, fridge, cups etc and also a small table with comfortable chairs. The bed and shower were both a good standard and the room had sufficient storage space. We got a free drink voucher for the Barron Valley Hotel which was within walking distance. The room had roosting Owls nearby.

The room and bathroom were a good size and fresh , the facilities were also good. The room had a breakfast area as well as small table and bench area , the fridge was a good size and inside a wardrobe and a microwave and cutlery , cups and glasses as well as tea towel and products to wash dishes with , which was a good place to have it ,their were two built in wardrobes of large size . It was obvious that the owners have taken care to make the rooms pleasant to be in . There was a small outside verandah area that also had a table and chairs , and the parking spot in front of the room . TV and for the shower large refillable bottles of shampoo, condition and shower gel , which meant you did not have to cart your own . For cooling there was a fan , air conditioning , but also windows that could be opened with fly screens so you could just get a nice air flow of fresh air . The location was easy to find and a close by a large shopping centre which included a Woolworths and pharmacy . Although there can be some tariffing noise passing by the front of the hotel at different times of the day , it is not as loud as the morning bird calls , which are enjoyable if you like birds and their calls.

Beautiful setting within walking distance to the town centre. Lovely warm welcome. Comfortable beds, spacious room. Our host was extremely helpful 10 out 10 Our meal at Barron Valley hotel was 1 of the best meals on our journey, thank you for recommendation from the Motel owner. Beautiful Historical Hotel with top class service. Loved waking up the beautiful sound of the Cockatoos Yes some people may find annoying but waking with nature around is just so amazing. Please stay here on your travels, affordable and comfortable.

Amazing location and the best fluffiest charcoal grey towels - five star standard 😇 immaculately clean . I had to delay my departure and the motel didn’t hesitate to extend my stay to accomodate

Fantastic setting with units backing onto lush rainforest. Back window and shelf with stools offers a fine view. Comfortable bed, stylish art deco furniture and very friendly and obliging hosts. Handy position to town to walk if it is not raining!

Walls might be a bit thin if you have a noisy neighbour but it worked out fine for us.

We thought the hotel was in a good location. We were allowed to check in early which enabled us to spend the afternoon visiting many of the great sights in the Tablelands without our luggage in he car. The bed was comfortable. The shower had good water pressure & plenty of hot water. Close (easy walking distance) to Woollies, KFC and a range of other shops.

We liked the location and how quiet it was.

Smoking area was too close to rooms. (Other guests smoking outside their rooms and smoke entered our room. Had to keep windows closed. Even though rooms were on ground level, there was two steps into the room and then a step into bathroom As I was in a wheelchair that made it difficult

Despite arriving late, the staff accommodated me graciously, and the room and facilities exceeded my expectations. My family were thoroughly impressed and we will be recommending Atherton Hinterland Motel to everyone. Thank you for providing such a great experience.

We had a one night stop over at this property. We are familiar with Atherton so knew the best pub for meals but it was also the one recommended by our host! Room was immaculately clean and well presented. There was nothing to fault with this property!
