Airport Clayfield Motel

The motel manager was a gem! Best thing about my stay. He was very pleasant and helped me with the luggage service elevator. Only stayed one night, room was clean, had basic amenities, and a small shopping area with Dominos and a burger joint are 7 minutes walk away for a quick cheap dinner. Free WiFi worked well.

Room lighting was a little harsh with white light, but I have sensitive eyes so not too fussed. Rooms are on the floor above so be prepared to do some lifting into the luggage elevator to bring them upstairs; I don't recommend you stay here if you have bulky heavy luggage.

I loved how easy it was to book, staff were friendly and assisted on arrival, parking available, basics and comfort provided such as coffee, a jug, cold water, TV with Netflix, bathroom with shampoo, shared outdoor pool etc. It was a lovely casual, tidy and comfortable base to book when travelling as a couple, bonus having a spa bath. Would definitely book in again as a couple or family 😊 Is located on a busy main rd but wasn't an issue as we mainly used ubers during our visit, is close to shopping malls and city attractions plus it was a short drive to the airport. Would highly recommend and happily rebook in the near future.

The stairs, but they did have a lift for luggage so nothing i didn't like.

Convenient location to the airport and anything you need - shop, chemist, food. I was just transitting through Brisbane with very early start. I had no car, but no problem. 3 minute walk to good restaurant choices for a meal. Room had comfy armchair, small table & bed was pretty good for budget hotel. Shower & bathroom also spacious. Good facilities for the price. Cheapest i could find close to airport for 1 night.

Only a minor issue but rooms are up stairs. Manager very kindly carried my bags up. People outside room on deck smoking and walking past and making some noise. They seemed to be staff? Again - only minor issues that didn't cause much grief. I would stay again for a quick airport turnaround

Lovely comfortable room with everything you could need: free Wi-Fi, nice toiletries, fridge, microwave and coffee/tea makings and continental breakfast available whenever needed (you get key to breakfast room). There was even a luggage lift to get your baggage to the first and second floors. Staff were super friendly and helpful and welcomed us like long lost friends (we had stayed there a few weeks before). The shuttle service was prompt and the driver very nice. The motel responded to all messages promptly.

Fact that there was no elevator to accommodation, all of which is upstairs. People with mobility problems should be aware of this. Otherwise, nothing to complain about!

We used the hotel before a morning flight. It’s well located for access to the airport - 8 minute drive. There is a transfer available but we didn’t use it. Family room was a good size. Basic no frills styling but comfortable with sofa + table/chairs as well as beds. Lots of restaurants locally with take away options. Basic breakfast offering (cereal, toast, juice) and small dipping pool - we didn’t use either. Free parking.

Road noise is an issue, even in family rooms at back of property so bring ear plugs if that’s an issue to you.

Arrived at 10am and was lucky enough to get early access to a room which was a bonus give it was a stinking hot day :) Owners are lovely, the room itself was good and much quieter than expected given the location on a busy road, bed also super comfy. Only thing was the air conditioner seemed to be on some sort of sensor and turned itself off a few times but aside from that would highly recommend and will be sure to stay there again if in the area.

Close to airport, free shuttle to airport, wonderful staff, well equipped and clean rooms , easy check-in. Good shower.

Traveled with elderly parents so the stairs were a surprise, luckily they were just able to get up. No wheel chair access, but it could be changed as there was a side gate with only a couple of stairs that could be changed to a ramp. On the main road so if you are a light sleeper, it's not ideal

Terrific location close to the airport for travellers. Plenty of options to grab some supplies or something to eat within walking distance. They also offer a free airport drop off. We didn't use this service as our flights were out of the usual flight times, but worth asking when you book. It was my understanding that you could park your car at the motel for the duration of your vacation (subject to availability) for a small fee.

Close to a major road so a little bit noisy if you are being really fussy.

5 mins to eating and takeaway facilities, bus stop outside, Harris Farms market.

Marks on under mattress protector, and no pillow case on 3rd pillow. Like many places at the moment due to under staffing which is a sad situation, as all other areas were good. Only 2 teaspoons, 2 cups, no plates or knives, forks, but a microwave. As a suggestion maybe each unit could have a set of bamboo cutlery, and bamboo plates and a dish cloth so we could leave bench, etc wiped down.

That they supply a shuttle van to Brisbane Qantas. It's only about 10 minutes up the Sandgate Road. If you have a late arrival they leave a key out for you in the coded box. You're able to leave your vehicle at the motel for a small fee.

The stairs having to lugg our gear up and use the goods lift. The traffic noise, but we did choose the motel because of the closeness to the airport.
