We were not sure where the parking was, and the two gentlemen concierges were so friendly and helpful, with directions. Once parked and checked in, the same lovely concierge assisted with taking our bags to our room. We felt very special. Our room was stunning full of old-world charm. Very spacious with two double beds, a desk and chair, and a lovely lounge setting. The hall was lovely and wide with a charming old style wardrobe. The bathroom was pure luxury with a decent size shower and a gorgeous big soaking bath. The room was extremely clean. The lobby where reception is, was beautiful to walk into, with beautiful little nooks to sit at if you were waiting for someone or want to sit and read a book. We also had afternoon tea at Ryan's on the Park, which is in the hotel complex. Perfectly made coffee and delicious carrot cake and chocolate cake. We had a window seat overlooking the park. It was a rainy day, and it was very atmospheric to sit cosy inside with coffee and cake. We also ordered room service for breakfast. It arrived right on time. The poached eggs perfectly cooked, and sausages tomato sauce, sour dough, mushrooms, potato rosti, and bacon were perfectly cooked and very filling for the day.

The building is amazing. I was happy with the ability to go into the parking without needing to check in first. That feature is so needed. Check in was easy. The $50 voucher and breakfast package was very good value. Our room and beds were fabulous. The bath was also a big reason why I enjoyed my stay.

The Lab was okay. The staff there were untrained in their roles which made for awkward experiences. It took 15 minutes to get an apple juice which was then taken to a different table. I wasn't told we couldn't use our $50 credit the next day so at check out, the manager tried to charge me with this. I explained that I wasn't informed that we had to use the credit the night before. We were exhausted from a long trip and had a meeting for dinner at a local restaurant outside of the building. It was difficult to do so with a 20 month old. The next morning at The Lab we ordered what was included in our breakfast package plus additional food to use up the credit. The food was good. Just made things awkward.

Room was lovely and concierge/staff were really helpful. We were celebrating an anniversary and we’re comped a room upgrade. We were also surprised by a bottle of champagne on returning to our room after dinner.

Very confusing where to access the hotel parking with the construction and road closures happening around the hotel. Also which building we were staying in wasn’t clear. If the hotel entrance had been better sign posted or just advised of the free standing area for cars outside, it would have saved a lot of anguish. Not really clear where the restaurants were located in the hotel.

Only one charging station (a power point) for our EV. Much ado about parking and charging. Lost 1-1/2 hours stuffing around with the parking. I had emailed prior and asked if EV charging would be ok. Yes, they said. We were told where to park then a security officer from the casino said no we couldn’t park there. He rang the hotel to get it sorted. The concierge - Melanie- was apologetic and very helpful and sorted things but the fact remains that EV charging is impossible there. My friend (owner of the EV) says she will never go to this hotel again.

Friendly, helpful staff. Ease of getting around the complex. The Valet and Christopher on the front desk were extremely competent. They were lovely, warm, welcoming and helpful.

The furniture in the room was showing wear and tear, which could easily have been maintained. I would of expected more from such an establishment. Food is expensive and below par. My 25 year old daughter was asked repeatedly to show proof of age, even though she was clearly a paying guest with her own key. She was always with me and going to the guest elevator, NOT the casino. We understand the security aspect (after owning a security company for many years) but this was something that could of been avoided.

Stunning hotel. Old-school classy. We got upgraded to a suite and it was enormous. High ceilings and chandeliers in our room. Beautiful view from the balcony. Included breakfast was delicious. Staff were so helpful and friendly. The bar was nice and quiet on a Sunday night. The location is amazing.

Charging $5 delivery fee on room service, on already increased prices. Food and beverage credit didn't cover minibar items. Elevator down to the car park seemed to intentionally take ages. Recommend taking the lift up to the first floor and then going down. We waited for 5+ minutes at 3am for the lift, which was just sitting on our floor until someone pressed the 'up' button.

A great stay as always. Lovely rooms, comfy beds, friendly service. We stay here a lot and it our favourite hotel in Brisbane. Breakfast in The Lab restaurant is excellent. A special thank you to Christine who always makes us feel welcome. Help with our baggage was also greatly appreciated.

Lighting in rooms are a dull making it difficult to read. Recent policy changes regarding the package rate, do grate on you a bit. The included breakfast menu was reduced last year and now further restrictions apply, such as 1 drink only included. We were asked to pay $2 extra to have mug of coffee rather than the included cup. These aren't big things but does just seem a bit petty, when you are paying the rate you have to pay to stay there.

I don’t normally write reviews but this building is exceptional, I loved the old charm of the beautiful old building, the lead light widows, the huge old wooden doors, the 18foot high ceilings, the huge bath tub, the high quality toiletries, the comfy bed and it was also nice and quiet. The staff were lovely too. I hope to come back again one day.

Nothing to do with the accommodation, but we found it difficult to find the car park and we don’t know Brisbane and we didn’t realise that there are 2 big Treasury buildings, one is a Casino and the other is accommodation. There were a lot of road works that limited our route as well as one way streets. The car park in underground, it is located on George St, half way between Charlotte and Elizabeth Streets. Veer left and drive underground. Then enjoy your stay.

We booked high tea in The Lab. A staff member phoned 2 days prior to the booking to confirm, at which time I let him know of the dietary requirements, 1 guest was seafood intolerant and the other was both gluten and dairy intolerant. On arrival again we were asked for dietary requirements. Shortly after our tower of afternoon tea arrived by the hostess who dropped and went before we could alarm her of our concerns. Fortunately neither of us started eating, avoiding severe allergic reactions. A young waitress was alerted and was very apologetic and took the tower. We later received 2 towers. The gluten and dairy free tower was not less than half impressive. This was a disappointing end to our fabulous stay.

Had to walk across the park to our allocated room, which wasn’t so bad, but we checked out at 5.30 am and it was dark and raining, and we couldn’t remember which entrances were open, so had to carry all our luggage (in the rain and dark) around until we found an open entrance. Also, I think all the carpet in the foyers smelled like cat pee - it was raining which made it worse
