iStay River City Brisbane

The location was central to Queen Street Mall and many transport options. The room was nice and big with a large balcony. The balcony had a partial view of the Brisbane River and the Storey Bridge. All requests were attended to quickly and efficiently.

Some construction noise because of the Albert Place Cross River Rail Station, it is temporary construction and sure to improve the transport options in Brisbane. They are replacing the lifts at the moment and sometimes there was a delay, but also temporary and will be more efficient when completed, we were informed of this when we checked in.

The location was great and close to everything. Great coffee shop outside the reception of Istay. The patio was huge & relaxing and the spa was good after a day of walking. The kitchen had everything you would need including a large fridge. Large TV and lots of channels Beds very comfortable.

Checking in wasn't over-friendly and few issues with paying and the % they charge is ridiculous. I never even got a receipt for my payment. The bathroom was very tiny and hard to use especially the toilet where it was situated. No air conditioning in the bedrooms, which was a bummer. The lift was so slow to access. I was unable to find where to put our rubbish as nothing on the paperwork. Checking out was much better with a friendly staff.

The gentleman on the night shift was beyond helpful and so pleasant to talk to if only i could find a staff member in the plumbing industry of his human decency and basic nature and as wife arrived and also checked on her own with kids as I was at work the staff went above and beyond to ensure she was assisted in any way possible we continue our one night stay a further 4 and will continue to return weekly. Through out the next few months as rooms are fantastic size and value and all management and counter staff made us feel so comfortable and understanding

All the staff including the cleaning staff would respond and gueinuly enjoy a brief conversation

My stay was very short, but my accommodation was very comfortable and clean. The apartment was spacious, with patio attached; however, I did not have the time to enjoy or use it. The location being city central would have been very convenient if staying longer.

Having just arrived in Brisbane unexpectedly by air, and having to deal with lost luggage, I was not in the best of moods. The gentleman checking me in seemed to be suffering from a bad case of hypertension, and treated me like an inconvenient nuisance, and did little to hide the fact.

Location was very convenient and great view from the balcony, good size kitchen, living area and bedroom 👍🏽

Disappointed that I had to asked for toilet paper every second day, and staff would offer me a 1 toilet paper! It a 2 toilets and I booked for 5 people to stay for 14 days.

the noise of the cross river rail’s construction that went all night. on my last night there was something happening in the unit above me. Loud stamping on the floor, loud conversation that I could not hear due to construction noise. This kept me awake for some time and on my arrival home I had to make the decision not to go to a performance due to my tiredness. I have lost my money on this. This is the first time something like this has happened. The chairs were in a state of disrepair and the lamp had stains on the shade. I felt that due to the high cost per night the furniture should have been of a better quality. a rather disappointing stay. I have included photos of the furniture and the lamp.

The location is exceptional. Close to everything and having the extra space of an apartment is fantastic. For longer stays the washing machine and dryer was a plus.

You can hear a bit of the building going for the rail underpass. But it is not a deal breaker. Parking at $39 per night is a bit pricey but it is convenient. Only one lift working do to upgrade. Would prefer a clothes airer rather than using the clothes drier.

The location was great. The room was large and very comfortable. Very clean and had everything we could ask for. While in the room it was very quiet which made it more comfortable.

There was only one lift working. This made it difficult sometimes as could spent up to 15 minutes waiting and travelling in the lift as well as sharing it with 10 plus people. That was uncomfortable. Spoke with a live in resident who advised this will be the case until December.

The location was excellent, close to the river and Botanic Gardens. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by.

The first room which were allocated, had an annoying dripping tap in the laundry sink. We were then given a nice room on the 39th floor, but there was no wifi or phone working. (An issue which was apparently being looked at). Our third room however, was really great. We were then given a 2 bedroom apartment, which had two balconies, both with views of the river. We were extremely happy with our third room!

Great location! Easy walk to anywhere in the city! Great for a stroll through the botanical gardens. Some of the best pillows and block out curtains around! The balcony was also a welcomed addition to our stay!

The lift was having a fair bit of maintenance which caused a few delays and on one day a walk down the stair well from the 19th floor, although inconvenient it wasn't too bad and the exercise was welcomed.
