Abode37 Motel Emerald

There was a lot to like about this property. The room was spacious and clean. We were traveling and had food in a cooler box so were thankful for the full size fridge/freezer and kitchenette. The shower and bathroom were spacious. Everything was modern and clean. The 2 seater lounge was very comfortable and a table and chairs to sit at were appreciated. The location was just off the highway so no traffic noise. The room itself seemed well insolated so didn't hear noise of other guests.

We chose this property over another cheaper one because it was advertised as a lower ground room. Our booking confirmation states "Entire unit located on ground floor". This was not the case and we had to carry everything up a flight of stairs to get to this unit. The bed was plush however it dipped in the middle making it uncomfortable for two people to use

Our 2nd time staying here & still one of the most comfortable we’ve ever stayed in. Beds are most always uncomfortable but not here. Very comfortable. Everything was so clean. The unit is very well equipped for self catering. They even had the aircon on so we walked into a cool room on a rather hot day.

Nothing earth shattering but with such a beautiful clean large bathroom it would have been nice to have a shelf or shower caddy inside the shower as it’s difficult for those of us that can’t bend really well to put shampoo & soap etc on the floor of the shower. Wont stop us booking again though.

Great place! Exceeded my expectations. Room and facilities were as described. The kitchenette provided items were above as expected. It appeared there will be a 2 plate stove, but in addition there was an electric fry pan. The rooms were very clean. It was nice walking into an already air-conditioned room. An extra bonus that I won't be taking for granted.

The mattress wasn't my bag of tea. But others might like it.

It was our first time visiting Emerald, we stayed with Abode37. And we loved it that much we extended our stay. The owner was excellent very friendly and extremely accommodating. The girl serviced our room and left us extra towels. It was quite and cosy, we had so much space . The bed & pillows were super comfortable... Highly recommended stayed with Abode37 Motel Emerald. Thank you for a trip we won't forget.

Friendly reception. Clean rooms with lots of inclusions - fully equipped kitchen. The room was quite large and the bed was really comfortable. The location was quite and peaceful. My elderly parents stayed in an accessible room and was very comfortable and suitable for them.

The motel was great, however a small suggestion would be to have a shelf in the shower as there was nowhere to place soap or toiletries.

Clean, comfortable furniture. Felt safe. Short drive to center of Emerald.

The walls were quite thin - I could hear every time someone walked past my door. Also: I contacted the hotel via booking.com to confirm that I would be able to arrive after 6pm but I never heard back from them. I ended up rushing there, just in case so I got there just before 6. The receptionist told me that I was the last person to arrive for the evening, she already had my details up and seemed pleased to be finished with my check in. I was glad I had rushed - I dont know what would have happened if I got there late, as I was travelling through places with no phone reception and would not have been contactable.

We particularly liked the text message regarding key collection and welcoming message before arrival. Entering our room we were extremely pleased to find it matched the online pictures and had everything we needed. Our large ground floor unit was very clean and looked and felt very well maintained. Comfortable bed and sitting area, large shower and undercover parking also a plus. Your complex is located in a very well placed location with a short walk to the city centre and also the botanical gardens which suited us perfectly.

Just a few tiny things we feel could improve future stays. We particularly loved the coffee machine in our room but 2 pods over 3 days for 2 people stretched us to search for alternatives, as it being a machine that doesnt have a parent store in town to replenish our supplies. Another tiny thing we noticed was the lack of a blanket in the room. Although climate controlled, my wife seeks the weight of a blanket whilst visiting the extremes of a polar winter whilst she sleeps.

everything, small friendly hotel with well trained staff and easygoing attitude. We only stayed one night on our way to Longreach but booked in again for a 2 night stay on our way back to Rockhamptom. Verry happy with the service we received.

I feel a small jug could be provided as the kettle didn't fit under the tap in the bathroom for refilling it

The room was modern, spacious and comfortable in a in a central location. Check-in and out was easy. We were able to walk to a range of pubs/restaurants.

These are observations (not criticisms) - the motel is sandwiched between 2 caravan parks and offers functionality over ambience, eg. no garden outdoor areas. Some rooms are upstairs and as parking is not assigned to rooms or blocks there can be a bit of distance to carry your luggage and possibly stairs.

Close to daughters and close to town. Manager was friendly, great laundry facilities, a little expensive - $10 for wash & dry. We will come back.

What I found in a pot located in drawers and how dusting doesn’t get done in higher places. E.g. tops of picture frames.
