Direct Hotels - Villas on Rivergum

We have stayed at this accommodation 3 times before. We love coming back as it has all the facilities needed to stay for more than a day or 2. We can do our washing. Do some cooking. Every room has its own on-suite, so it's perfect for couples and family. It's out of town in a suburb, so it's really quiet. Shops close enough for essentials. This us our preferred accommodation in Emerald. Reception staff is lovely and professional and eager to help.

The key deposit took 5 days to get paid back into my account. Receptionist was lovely and helpful though.

We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of staff. Really clean, had everything you could possibly want for a comfortable stay. Bed was super comfy and the area is very quiet, and only a couple of minutes drive away from shops.

The only minor thing was identifying the property in the first instance, as we weren’t aware it was a direct hotel property. The “Rivergum Villas” part of the sign is a little overgrown with the garden.

Everything we needed was there. It really was a home away from home. The fully equipped kitchen was great, and toiletries that included a good quality moisturizer, which came in very handy for sunburn, were an example of the sort of thought that had been put into the preparation of the apartment. We didn't use some of the amenities, such as the washing machine, but it was a comfort to know it was available if needed.

There was nothing of any importance that I could say was bad about the Villas. Our car is an exceptionally long dual cab ute, so parking was tight with the laundry in the garage, but we managed ok

The location is gorgeous and the staff are fabulous. We stayed 2 1/2 weeks and we felt so looked after. They helped with local information and the apartment service was fantastic . Special shout out to Rebekah and Christie.

This acommodation was the very best for our trip out to Winton and return. It is really exceptional. Lock up garage, spacious, modern, excellent kitchen and roomy bathroom and great TV with Foxtel. Not to mention the very best washing machine and dryer. The reception and help we got on arrival was of the highest calibre , thank you .

These villas are a little unusual for a country town, in that they are about 5 minutes drive from the centre of town, in a new estate. Although we stayed there as tourists because of the extra space offered in a two-bedroom unit with self catering, a washing machine and drier (and outside clothes line, as it turned out), the other occupants seemed to largely be workers from nearby mining areas. The units were quiet and quite adequate, and we enjoyed our stay. A locked garage was a bonus, although it is only big enough for small to medium cars. There was additional outside parking for larger vehicles. For us, this accommodation was much better than a single motel room, and we would stay again.

The cleaning was a little hit and miss (although a reasonable standard overall), and the quality of the beds and the fit-out of the apartment was a little cheap, rather than great quality. Everything was certainly adequate, but slightly better quality would have made the apartment exceptional.

Nice and quiet, so very clean. Great to have a garage, washing machine & back yard, well done. Comfy bed. it would be great for families as you wouldn't have to worry about the kids!

The pillows are a little hard, nothing really thats just preference

Self catering apartment and very functional. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment and it had laundry facilities as well. Well maintained exterior - very neat and tidy.

Would be lovely to have a pool - Emerald was HOT! It would also be nice if there was a restaurant on site because it is located a bit out of town.

Everything was perfect, villa was large and kitchen had everything you needed. Beds were very comfortable. Location was out of town so it was nice and quiet but yet only a 2 mins via car to the main street.

The only small thing I could complain about is the lighting in one of the bathrooms was very dim.

Amazing staff! Everything you could need and more. We were surprised by the size as it is bigger than it looks in the photos. Emerald isn’t big but it was a few minutes into town by car with a playground on the way. A perfect place to stay with a small family.
