It would have been helpful to have more grassy area for attending to needs of pet. It was fortunate that I was travelling with a friend as the parking bay allocated to my room was taken on my arrival. I can understand if management okayed this knowing there was only one car but two rooms but it would have helped to have been told.

Staff were excellent - the lovely lady at reception was welcoming, efficient and polite. Meals were very good and hotel staff were also really great. My dog was allowed to stay and was made welcome. The room was basic but spotlessly clean and the mattress was very comfortable. We were very happy with the experience.

The only slight downside was that the dog-friendly part of the hotel for a meal was the smokers' area. Fortunately there was enough space to sit away from the smokers - and they were all friendly too.

As I drink decaf coffee, I supply my own. The room was adequate for my needs. Pleasant staff who did their best to sort the internet problems. I only used the restaurant for one meal, which was very nice. I used frozen meals and my own breakfasts.

The internet for one, it kept throwing me off when I was in the middle of reports that I was working on. I was suprised that there was no dish washing liquid or tea towel supplied. The walls were paper thin and I was very aware of the workmen in rooms on either side of me, being on the move from 5am.

Had almost everything needed for a comfortable short stay. Comfortable bed. Good shower and bathroom. Cold quiet A/C. Large IGA right next door.

Local TV channels only. Wifi has a time limit. No proper window (apart from the bathroom but looks out to a fence), garden or any real character. Gyprock walls so you can hear your neighbours talking late at night and noise starts early in the morning. I had to buy ear plugs to sleep through because I had shift workers staying next door who used the tavern every afternoon and kicked on in their room well into the night.

Very friendly & helpful staff (all streams including reception, cleaning, dining area). Easy to find. Plenty of parking. On site restaurant which delivered a beautiful meal to our room.

Bed was too soft for my liking but that is a personal preference. Hot water was a bit hit & miss but always had good water pressure. One of the down lights requires maintenance - all others were fine.

Small, cheap hotel room attached to a pub, rooms were clean and had every thing you need. Very good value for money and the staff are friendly; there's an awning to park your car under right outside your room to keep the sun off which is great.

Is more of a truck stop type of place but is very good, I will definitely stay here next time I'm on the road.

The facility is a complete package, offers a pub with cold beer and friendly locals, some entertainment (Joker draw, raffles and pokies if you like them). The restaurant meals were very good, service was good and staff attitude was friendly and helpful.

Bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights with people traffic through the car park, and some hooning in the streets. Single room was small but comfortable but needs a black out curtain on the window below the air conditioning unit.

The carpets in the rooms were disgraceful. They all need to be pulled up and have new vinyl installed. Granted we were able to take our little dog, but other customers must have let their dogs wee and poo in the rooms. There is no way that they could be cleaned properly. The cleaners do a great job considering they couldn’t clean them if they tried.

Comfy bed, overall cleanliness was good.

The only thing that concerned me was that the only coffee mug in the unit was dirty, as if the previous occupant had used it and just put it back in place without even rinsing it out, it had obvious coffee/tea marks in it, when I washed it with boiled water (no detergent available though) it came up clean. So sadly, I think your cleaners need to do a more thorough job.

We stayed on our way to and back from Townsville. A great stop over after a long day and appreciated being able to accommodate our little dog and have room service for our evening meal. Parking outside our ground floor unit was also a big plus for us.
