Quality Hotel Regent Rockhampton

Manager at check in was AMAZING! Arrived early and got me sorted and checked in ready to come back when room was ready. Explained everything and was friendly and funny. Room was immaculate...bravo housekeeping!! Well appointed room. Tea coffee stocked mini bar...room service available aswell. Bathroom was spacious very modern and so clean. Sooooo clean especially for a hotel again housekeeping...gold star. Pool is beautiful Close to local shops with a Coles, bottle shop etc plus centre of town with coffee shops, pubs and the river.

We arrived after 10pm but no problem because we had already received two text messages with entry codes and photos of the location for entry. It was raining while we were in Rockhampton and staff always offered use of umbrellas and as we did not have a car staff would book a taxi for us. Not having been to Rocky for many years staff always assisted with locations. No problem recommending the Regent to family and friends or visiting again ourselves.

The staff were amazing, very friendly and professional. Fernando was extremely warm and welcoming and we felt at home right away! Breakfast buffet was more than ample, as was our evening meal.The property was very clean, inside and out. The bathroom and shower were great. Liked the heritage look. The swimming pool was well cared for too.

I loved the old building and its heritage and the way the rooms had been renovated. Very comfy and luxurious. Relaxing setting and great central location.

The buffet breakfast was very disappointing as the things like pancakes and waffles were all packaged and cold and because it was the weekend, we were unable to order from the menu. The water in the urn was lukewarm and when I mentioned it to staff, he brushed it off and said spending about the urn.

The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and the staff were very friendly and polite. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The food in the restaurant was delicious and perfectly cooked.

Where our room was located having to walk outside along a path for about 10m fortunately the weather was great and this didn’t affect us. However was very convenient to access the parking.

Great reception managerial person - super helpful and nice. He was knowledgable and helpful. The block where we had our room had card security and a lift. The hotel has a great looking restaurant but we didnt have enough time to try it. They offer a full cooked breakfast as well. It's a nice hotel with wifi and free parking. Close to shops and other eating places. Overall nice stay.

What a gem of a hotel! Everything about our stay was fantastic. Our bed was super comfortable, the room spacious, clean and quiet and the staff were most welcoming, friendly and helpful. We made use of the convenience of the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food was most acceptable. The hotel is centrally located and the off street parking was a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and intend to return on our next visit to Rocky. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer!!

The main building was astonishingly beautiful. The room was very comfortable and the facilities were perfect for our needs. We will definitely be going back.

Had an alley behind the room that let obnoxious vehicle noise in (garbage truck and noisy exhausts) and a crossfit gym that had music playing early and let noise in even with the high level of sound proofing in the room. This is not a fault of the hotel, merely obnoxious noises. We would love to try another room in the main building.

Location near CBD and other facilities. Great outcome for the former technical college. Staff were friendly and courteous. Meals were plentiful and well priced. Rooms were spacious and quiet. Plenty of parking spaces available. Good sized pool.

Our room had some carpet moth chrysalis hanging of ceiling in bathroom and room and walls. Rooms probably need to be fumigated/sprayed. Electrical safety tags were out of date.

Location of accommodation in a great area. Close to shops and river precinct. Management and staff are brilliant and very helpful and friendly. Would stay again.
