Mayfair Plaza Motel and Apartments

Huge room, huge bathroom, really nice and great value, three separate beds (hard travelling in a 3 usually get a double and one single) They provided plates, cups, cutlery, microwave fridge toaster dishwashing stuff teatowel - I was not expecting any of that you can basically self cater there. Guest laundry. Location is amazing coles across the street, fantastic coffee shop literally 60 seconds from the room, about 5 great restaurants in less than 5 mins walking, bottle shop on the premises for those that want it. Staff super friendly and helpful. Lovely green courtyard that the rooms are centered around. If I come to Hobart again will definitely try to stay here really good value for money

The only slight thing I can think of is that you can't park outside your room there is a separate half outdoor half undercover parking lot on 2 levels but it is very close and there was no trouble getting a space.

The facilities were excellent, and the rooms were amazingly quiet despite motel location in a busy urban area. The neighborhood was safe for walking alone, and the motel was literally surrounded by an abundance of small restaurants and other conveniences like a major grocery store. The staff went out of their way to assist with arrival and departure. In addition, when I discovered at the airport that I had accidentally left a small bag containing my computer and valuable work documents, the owner kindly and efficiently oranised a taxi to deliver my bag to the airport, resolving a very upsetting situation. The owners and staff of Mayfair are to be congratulated on creating a great place to stay!

I have no complaints and no suggestions! Keep up the great work! I would definitely stay at Mayfair again.

I’ve stayed here before and it is such a great location; right on Sandy Bay Rd with shops, restaurants, bars and the two big supermarkets . The rooms with the kitchenettes are fabulous, with enough equipment to make a proper meal or just prepare your breakfast. Parking is predominantly outdoor on the roof park, with straight access into the top level of the motel area. Easy to roll your luggage straight to your room. After hours arrival is super easy with clear instructions and a PIN code to collect your room key. My friend had one of the newer studio appartements which was very nicely finished. I like room 22 which has a king bed and kitchenette. You won’t be lost for coffee options in the morning- they are everywhere!

The car park can be a little tight with a larger rental car when driving up and down the ramp. Take your time and you will be ok.

We arrived on a late evening flight, and the hotel made arrangements for our after hours access to our room - these arrangements were made by the Motel at the time of the booking, so we had everything in place well ahead of the trip. The hotel is surrounded by a variety of restaurants and a supermarket, so you do not need to travel far for great meal options. However, the location is close to Battery Point and Hobart CBD, so you have many options. The rooms are spacious, the shower is hot, and the towels are plush.

The court yard can be a little noisy if there are a few travellers wheeling suitcases. Luckily, this only temporary noise.

The location was fantastic with many types of restaurants within a short walking distance, also Woolworths & Coles. It was a very short walk to the bus stop to catch a bus for the 5 minute trip into Hobart CBD or the casino and the bus stop for the Red Decker sightseeing bus. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Our rooms were well furnished & everything we needed was supplied. There was plenty of undercover parking if it was needed.

There was no kitchen sink. Dishes had to be washed in the small bathroom sink & as there was no vanity there was nowhere to put the dishes, whether used or clean, close to the sink.

Comfortable clean rooms at a good price. Great restaurants very close by (the Midori Japanese Kitchen in the plaza was fantastic and great value). Staff really helpful, happy to mind some luggage when we left to do the Three Capes Track in between stays at the motel. Great guest laundry (helpful after a long bushwalk). And only a short walk into the Hobart CBD.

Nothing significant. If I had to look for something, maybe that after hours entry to the complex is only through the one door that opens into the lower level of the carpark. But it wasn't a big deal. We'll happily go back there next time we visit Hobart.

Despite arriving early, the receptionist was very welcoming and allowed me to direct access to my room. She also provided me with considerable relevant information regards afterhours access, parking, use of the laundry and a map of the local area and surrounding area. Extremely friendly and helpful, which made the entire check in experience the best received in some considerable time. A+. Next came the room which was an absolute delight. Large and roomy, it contained a wonderful large and comfortable bed, a superb easy chair, a table at which to work (which is always a plus for me) and chairs as well as discreet supplies to enable one to enjoy complimentary beverages. Even had a radio clock that actually works. A real rarity. Bathroom was of a good size and well provisioned and has an excellent shower. Delightfully located within an attractive plaza, and very well located for access into the CBD and many of the tourist sites, including Battery Point, Salamnca Place and Mount Wellington. Also has excellent parking arrangements. Neighbourhood absolutely abounds with eating establishments. Room was serviced each day. Excellent Wi-Fi service. All staff met here during the four-day stay were extremely friendly and helpful when any need arose. In all the considerable travelling I have done throughout Australia, this has to be one of the greatest experiences ever. 10/10.

Excellent location!! Close to 2 big brands supermarket, chemist, cafe, restaurants. Motel room is a bit dated but clean. Equipped with most of the necessary items to make you stay very comfortable. If I will come to Hobart again, I will definitely stay in this motel again.

It would be more convenient if a kitchen sink can be added in the room (outside the toilet). The kettle can not be put under the toilet tap due to size. Need a mug to pour water in.

The guy in the office was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you. Bed n pillows were so comfortable...divine..Bathroom very roomy..A real plus when travelling. Bedside power point. Mini kitchenette was just excellent. Very close to excellent bakery's 💞 Close to Coles n not far to Woolworth. Can get the hop on hop off bus..can take you to city, women's prision, gardens etc..Excellent ..Hop on Hop of bus is very closets Mayfair...just near Woolworth/ service station a very pleasant slight up hill walk.some lovely little shops..in the area.. All in all excellent accomodation n position. You will not be be disappointed. Enjoy.

Fantastic location. Easy walk to salamanca and the city. Great restaurants and pub on the doorstep. Comfortable room. Great big bathroom with a lovely bath.Very clean. Wonderful views from the rooftop carpark.

The supermarket next door had deliveries early in the morning and a noisy refrigeration unit. Not a reflection on the accomodation but something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper.
