Bellerive is a charming suburb that is 10 mins drive to the city. Within short walking distance from the house, there is a nice harbour, a small beach, plus the lovely Salamenca Fresh (supermarket). The suburb is dotted with historic houses and landmarks. Eastlands shopping centre (the largest shopping centre in Hobart, is a few minutes away. Natone is a historic building and the apartment is an extension attached to the main house. The bedroom of the apartment is the oldest part of the building and has a large fireplace, a four poster bed and chandelier from almost 200 years ago. It has a lot of old world charm. The kitchen was well provisioned with quality cutlery and crockery. Nice toiletries were provided. Peter cleans the apartment well. He is around daily if you need anything or has any questions. The property has a huge backyard with lots of fruit trees. The 150 year old mulberry is massive and was fruiting profusely when I was there. It was delicious, and attracted lots of birds. The pear tree was also fruiting well and had a bandicoot as well as birds feeding on it.
The kitchen, living room, and shower cubicle were very small. The living area gets quite cold at night and the heater had to be used even in summer. The car was covered by mulberries and bird droppings when parked outside the apartment under the grapevine. Peter the owner ended up washing the car for me. Make sure you park just before the grapevine. The driveway was very narrow and reversing out could be tricky.

Location of the property is great and less than 5 minute walk to the Bellerive Pier. A very short drive to Eastlands Shopping Mall and petrol station. Also onsite parking. Peter has been a great host, will provide assistance around the property, suggest local attractions, advice on how to get to places and best places for parking. Great amenities which was enjoyable to use. Amazing property to stay with great history to it and had a great welcoming vibe. Overall, I had a great time staying here.
Nothing and couldn't find any fault.

Natone is within easy walking distance of the village Bellerive. Here there are a selection of restaurants to choose. Walking down by the river and the docks was very relaxing and enjoyable. Natone is a wonderful old house with so much character. The bedroom has an elaborate four poster bed and has the most magnificent fireplace. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials, making it easy to self cater if you want. The toilet has a heated seat which I thought indulgent but was actually very nice and it would be even better in cooler months.
There is nothing that we didn’t enjoy or that we would like changed.

I like the hospitality of Peter and April. They are so friendly and informative about the area. I really appreciate that they went out of their way to give us a lift to the airport as a booked Uber taxi let us down early in the morning. 0 rating for Australian Uber which has no phone to call the driver when he cancelled our taxi in last minute with no available replacement and no feedback session in App for complaint. The room we stayed in is like a service apartment with an attached conservatory which is very cosy. Location is good and away from city centre with only a 15mins ferry ride or buses ride. Ferry and bus stop is only a few mins walk from us so it’s convenient to stroll. Local restaurants and supermarket are within walking distance.
A bit of spiderwebs in a 200 years old house which is understandable and nostalgic and the 4 posters bed is brilliant. One slight annoying thing is a creaky floorboard by the front door as every time we stepped there the dresser cupboard vibrates a bit and makes a noise.

Peter was very friendly and helpful. The place was unique and cosy. We felt very comfortable and the location was perfect. Great cafes and restaurants and the Marina were within walking distance. I loved the warm toilet seat, ha ha 😂 Would recommend and stay again. Thanks, Peter.

My wife and I had a two day fly in visit to catch up with friends. Natone looked interesting being of historical note. Although we have come to Hobart often, we have never stayed on the east side of the Derwent. And we LOVED IT ALL. Natone is delightful and cosy, convenient to bus and ferry transport for Hobart City (100 met. down the road), shoping centre 1.2Klm. walk away along the waterfront. This is TOPS for a couple stay; the best $ value we have ever had. And Peter is a pleasant and generous host with roots way back into Tasmanian early 1800's history. Great to hear some of his story. So don't hold back. Get down there. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Peter.
Nothing.

We loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the host. Peter went beyond a host's responsibilities to show us around. We loved the quirkyness and historic features of the cottage. The cottage was easy to access by walking and driving.

Our expectation were exceeded. Exceptional facilities, provision of a bidet was an unexpected bonus. A very friendly host who made us very welcome and exceeded expectations with pre-arrival communications.
We could not fault this facility. We'd strongly recommended it to couples looking for convenient accommodation in Hobart, close to the city and ideal access to a major shopping center.

Peter was a great host, accommodation had everything we needed for our 3 night stay with separate sunroom, bathroom and kitchen areas. The location was well positioned with easy ferry ride to Hobart docks. Marina and shops 2 min walk from accommodation.
Smallish shower cubicle but could use shower head in bath as alternate option.
