Truly exceptional historical location, with a commitment to excellence that springs through every single appliance, decoration, amenity or throughout this incredibly beautiful grand house. This is the paragon of luxury, comfort, tranquillity with a breathtaking view on the ocean (Alfred's suite) and grandiose period features, furniture combined with the latest technologies. A coziness that oozes from the plush bathrobes, fantastic bed, immaculate cleanliness down to the indescribable beauty and delicacy of the antiques that decorate the room. A rare, very rare place to stay and which makes for an unforgettable sojourn

Nothing can be faulted: this is one of those locations which you will never forget, and that delivers much more than excellent value for money. It offers you the memory of a lifetime.

A great 'shabby chic' vibe in the Servants Quarters, the apartment was very comfy. The little kitchen worked well for self-catering. We enjoyed exploring Hobart, the harbour, and the Domain and Botanical gardens. All perfectly doable on foot. The gardens at the property were beautiful. The staff were very helpful, especially when we blew a fuse using the dryer 😁

A couple of slight downsides for me 1. The bathroom (which was fabulous) was on the ground floor under the bedroom, so quite a trek through the apartment involving stairs and steps in the middle of the night. Not so easy with rickety ankles and jetlag. 2. The Servants Quarters kitchen also has a door (and window) into the main hotel breakfast area. This is great if you want to head straight there for breakfast, not so for privacy. We had visitors/other guests knocking on the door a couple of times, thinking it was genuinely the staff quarters.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Corinda Collection in Tasmania, and it was an experience I'll fondly remember. From the outset, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, and the availability of car parking was a convenient bonus, making our arrival as seamless as possible. The Corinda Collection captivated me with its charming old English style design and decoration. Each room radiated a cozy warmth, enveloping guests in comfort and nostalgia, making it incredibly easy to relax and unwind. The attention to detail in preserving the historical elegance while providing modern comforts was truly commendable. One of the highlights of our stay was the graciousness extended to us with an early check-in, a thoughtful gesture that set a welcoming tone for our visit. It's these small acts of kindness and consideration that truly differentiate one's stay at a hotel. The gardens at the Corinda Collection are a sight to behold, beautifully maintained with an array of stunning flowers that add a vibrant splash of color and life to the surroundings. It was a delight to wander through the gardens, taking in the serene beauty. Moreover, the balcony offered a spectacular lookout over Tasmania city, providing breathtaking views that were both refreshing and awe-inspiring. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet moment, soaking in the natural beauty and the tranquil atmosphere of the place. In conclusion, my stay at the Corinda Collection was absolutely lovely. Its unique blend of old-world charm, coupled with thoughtful amenities and the natural beauty of its gardens, made for a memorable experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, charming place to stay with a touch of historical elegance in Tasmania.

While the hotel offered many commendable features, one notable downside was the audible walking noises in the corridor due to the wooden flooring. This occasionally disrupted the room's tranquility, especially during quiet hours.

Our stay at this colonial-style house nestled amidst charming gardens was a delightful experience. Situated in a quiet area, we enjoyed peaceful surroundings that lent themselves to a restful night's sleep, especially since we were accommodated upstairs where the atmosphere remained tranquil. One highlight of our stay was the quick and efficient check-in in-person process, which made us feel welcomed right from the start. Additionally, the ample parking available on the street provided added convenience for guests arriving by car. The hotel's responsiveness to guests' needs was evident, and we appreciated the attention to ensuring a warm welcome. The property provided us sufficient shampoo and shower cream. It's worth noting that while the hotel offers laundry services for an additional charge, we opted to take advantage of the serene atmosphere and quiet surroundings to relax and unwind. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely colonial-style house and would highly recommend it to others seeking a peaceful retreat.

However, we did encounter a minor hiccup during check-in, as finding the right door and inputting the correct code proved slightly confusing. Nevertheless, this small inconvenience was overshadowed by the overall positive experience we had during our stay.

We loved the gardens, and the ambiance in general of the building. We thought that the room, whilst not that big, was quirky with its nice bathroom and special touches.

I feel that the cost of the drinks in the downstairs lounge bar are excessive. Given there are no overheads (no bar staff to pay) you would think the drinks would be good value. I don't think $20 for a gin and tonic or a vodka and soda is reasonable. Even if the spirits are of good quality, nobody would expect to pay more than say $12. A cocktail - which is two spirits is usually $18-20, not a one spirit drink. The Owners need to review what they are charging.

This accomodation was beautiful. Its surroundings and furnishings were absolutely delightful. The gardens are superb. All of the procured antiques and finishes added to an amazing ambiance.

The sheets on our bed were an ill fit. They didn’t stay put and bunched up very quickly after getting into bed. Probably an attention to detail that needs to be paid. Not good given the nightly accomodation costs. Breakfast needs some attention to detail as well. Adequate but not outstanding. Food may have been prepared by someone who isn’t a cook.

Beautiful relaxing garden setting - old world charm. Breakfast staff were amazing - readily meeting all our requests.

I think that there should have been a fitted bed sheet for the mattress, rather than a normal sheet. We realised after arriving that the cottage was not serviced everyday without an extra charge - I don't think that this is acceptable . We chose the Gardener's Cottage because of the stated size of the floor space - we should have realised it was 2 storied - this was an issue for my wife who has some mobility issues - perhaps the information should state that it is 2 stories: bedroom upstairs & bathroom/toilet downstairs.

We fell for this building at the first glimpse! It’s an elegant heritage house to appreciate and you can read history being in the space. And the garden itself is an amazing artwork. It’s a great pleasure to walk in a such a beautiful garden. Our room is lovely and cozy. The interior is well decorated and delicate. We had our room cleaned up everyday. Vivienne and the staff are very nice and friendly. They helped us with everything we needed and offered a lot of helpful information about Hobart. It’s a really homelike and warm experience with them. The breakfast set was really delicious and with ranges of choices. Continental, hot breakfast and drink are included and in generous size. Overall, highly recommend this place and will definitely come back!!

Might be helpful if there are instructions on enter the building through the backyard. We carried our luggage to the verandah entry. Other than that, everything is perfect.

I liked the setting on the hill and the fact that it was an old property with antiques. The cottage was separate from the main house, but we could come and visit the balcony overlooking the city and the gardens. The reading room in the main house was also very cosy.

The stay in the cottage was quite pricy, and the parking in the courtyard is not really a good option - it ruins a bit the look of the property. So best not to have a car I suppose but the walk up the hill from Hobart's CBD is really manageable.

Our stay in the Gardeners Cottage was absolutely perfect. As soon as we arrived, it really had the 'wow factor'. It really felt like we had stepped back in time, yet the facilities were absolutely up to today's standard and had really beautiful styling. We loved wandering through the amazing gardens and just looking at the main house was mesmerising. Our stay finished on a high with enjoying a sensational breakfast at the house. Small details like linen napkins and beautiful plates make all the difference for a stand out meal and experience, not to mention the food.....flaky warm croissants and delicious scrambled eggs, yes please! Would 100% stay here again in the future, thank you for having us.

Only one little thing, it would have been good to have a fitted sheet on our bed and we woke up both mornings and the sheet had come out and we were lying on the mattress protector.
